Framerate is king according to Respawn Entertainment

Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind the eagerly awaited Titanfall online first-person shooter, has confirmed that the 60fps framerate target is very important to the team, so important that it could stop it from pushing for a 1080p full HD resolution on the Xbox One next-gen console.

Titanfall impressed lots of shooter fans at E3 2013 and at Gamescom 2013 last week, as the multiplayer game received some great demonstrations running on the PC platform.

The title is also set to appear on the Xbox One and Respawn's Drew McCoy revealed to Eurogamer that, as always, framerate is king for the studio, as the team will do anything to ensure Titanfall is going to run at a smooth 60fps no matter how hectic the action on the screen is.

This target is so important that McCoy admits that a 1080p full HD resolution can be abandoned on the Xbox One just to make sure that the performance stays at 60fps at all times.

As of yet, however, Respawn won't make any promises besides the framerate.
