Video game publisher 2K Games has denied that its recent simulation Major League Baseball 2K12 includes a major exploit linked to the pitching mechanics that can affect the final results of the Perfect Game Competition, which sees the company award a prize of 1 million dollars (767,106 Euro) to the player who is able to first throw a perfect game.

Kotaku has reported that an exploit exists and has recordings from a number of players who apparently have plans to use it in order to get unfair results in the game and get the prize that 2K Games is offering.

The Perfect Game competition has been a solid promotional tool for the Major League Baseball series, which is a solid revenue provider for 2K Games and put it ahead in terms of sales when compared to MLB 12: The Show.

The game was launched on March 6 and is now available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Windows PCs, Nintendo DS, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS2.
