Julie Uhrman, the chief executive officer at the company that manufactures the Ouya home console, says that 27 percent of those who have bought the device have also purchased a game.

This is an encouraging statistic for a device that’s based on Android technology and has a lot of free-to-play titles on offer.

The executive tells The Verge that, “These numbers will grow as more gamers pick up consoles, and as we attract more developers, and I believe that by the end of the year, we’ll see a few developers telling us they’ve made more than a million dollars on Ouya.”

Uhrman says that TowerFall and Hidden in Plain Sight are both making money for their development teams.

The attach rate for the new gaming console stands around 8%.

The Ouya has managed to sell all the devices that were available at launch.
