Infinity Ward's creative strategist, Robert Bowling, has revealed that more than 1,600 players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have been banned after cheating or using exploits to their advantage within the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 had the most successful entertainment launch of all time, but with this huge popularity came a big number of players who wanted to cheat during the online multiplayer mode by using special programs or exploits.

This won't be tolerated by Infinity Ward, the co-developer of Modern Warfare 3, as the studio's Robert Bowling confirmed on his Twitter account that, "Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch in Modern Warfare 3 will not be tolerated. 1600+ bans issued. Updates in works. Please continue to report offenders."

As such, you can see that even if you can still use exploits or cheats to gain an advantage in Modern Warfare 3, Infinity Ward will track you down and swiftly issue a ban.
