What's new in Villagers and Heroes: Wrath Of The Black Thrush 4.24 - Grinchta's Lair

Mar 2, 2019
  • CHRISTMAS EVENT:
  • The Christmas event is here and Grinchta is ready to tackle the hoards of players. Players can enter the event zone in either Summer's Hollow or Ardent City. There are two event currencies for the event, Yuletide Joys and Yuletide Spirits. Each currency has its own way to earn, its own vendors, and its own rewards! There are tons of fantastic prizes to be earned, which will you claim?
  • Players will find two brand new outfits available in the event this year, the Winter Dryad and the White Winter Dryad.
  • There is a new pet in the shop, Spriggy the Christmas Spriggan. Spriggy is a charity pet, which means part of the money earned by the pet will be donated to charity. We will have more details on this at a later date. Note that Spriggy will NOT be in the store at the event launch, but will be added at a later time.
  • The Christmas event received the addition of 8 new daily quests.
  • The Christmas event now has a breadcrumb quest to get players into the event zone and teach them the basics. Additionally there is a "midway" quest that rewards players with a large prize if they complete at least 20 days of the event.
  • The Christmas event now has its own travel pad, crafting stations (for making toys!), and a vault.
  • All items in the event that have the red "warning will be deleted" message now also contain the estimated date of departure for the event.
  • The event also contains a never before seen three different mounts in the event zone! The Reindeer, the Frosty Reindeer, and the Winter Mushroom.
  • Players can now earn Epic gear in the Christmas event for those that don't want the cosmetic rewards.
  • The monthly calendar will now be holiday themed.
  • GAME CHANGES:
  • The following changes to the game have been made.
  • Dragons have been added as ride-able mounts! Four Dragons have been added and all will be featured in the shop: The Red Dragon, the Green Dragon, the Ice Dragon, and the Tundra Dragon. Each Dragon will cost 600 crowns.
  • Additionally we have added the Brood of Dragons legendary pack to the shop, which contains all four dragon mounts and four dragon pets (Bone, Ice, Shadow, Red). This pack will be offered for 1950 crowns (1450 crown savings).
  • There are now Relic Stones present in all level 75 elder zones. These will take the player to the other Elder zones for free, but only after the zone has been discovered by the player naturally. This should make a level 75 Elder run much faster with less loading in between.
  • We have made some balance tweaks to level 75 elders that should overall make them easier, in particular Dijarra who was a little intense.
  • Tweaked the level scaling tech to be more kind to lower level players, giving more damage and defenses. This affects both dungeons and event zones.
  • Changed the logic of rare reinforcement runes on items that have a single passive rune slot. Now, instead of never getting a rare rune, it will replace the regular reinforcement rune. A note explaining this is now found in the recipe mastery tooltip.
  • Boosted Servant of Shadow healing to be 20%-400% (up from 10%-200%).
  • The Zog Crown Purse has been removed and replaced with a Zog Helping Horn, which grants 10 charges of Clockwork Harvesting and 10 Charges of Bounty Hunter.
  • All Motes of Yorick found while gathering are now Account Bound.
  • Players playing on the iOS platform will no longer be able to collect redeem keys. Unfortunately the practice of redeem codes is against Apple's terms of service, something that we were not aware of until recently. Apple instructed us to remove the feature and so we complied. We apologize to our players that are negatively effected by this and we hope to have an alternative system (that falls well within Apple's TOS) in the next large feature build.
  • BUG FIXES:
  • The following bug fixes have been made.
  • Issues with donations to projects sometimes displaying wrong.
  • Fixed typo, Regina: I im.
  • Fixed typo in Benevolent gift of the villager: receive.
  • Fixed a case where a Rebirthed player could break the quests in the Rye.
  • Clarified the quest Slaying Scamander to mention the minimum level needed to get credit.
  • Fixed a case where players could get the quests in Glendergan to sort of activate a second time.
  • Fixed Cauterize tooltip to correctly read 20%-400% (was incorrectly reading 10%-200%).
  • Fixed a crash bug preventing some players for starting the game.

New in Villagers and Heroes: Wrath Of The Black Thrush 4.22 - The Haunted Moors Fixup (Oct 25, 2018)

  • This is a small build that contains many Halloween related fixes as well as some balance changes.
  • IMPROVEMENTS:
  • The following fixes and improvements have been made.:
  • Outfits couldn't be previewed in the store.
  • Fixed experience and loot was being shared by all nearby players in the event zone.
  • Candy Corn now stacks to 7,500.
  • Bag-like items (i.e. that give you items when used) in some cases were broken.
  • Fixed a few cases of %h: tags being shown instead of text.
  • Fixed a case where players could turn items into Yaphet early, which would ultimately break their quest line down the road.
  • Boyet now has hooves.
  • Made the large room in the depths a bit smaller so players can read portal names.
  • Did various cosmetic tweaks the to depths, making it look a little better.
  • All of Maplecrests quests now have "Group Recommended" in the goal text to be clear to new players that these are challenging Elder Bosses.
  • Improved Translations for German (added translations for Halloween event), Japanese, and Korean.
  • BALANCE:
  • Warrior Balance:
  • Obviously the Warrior changes were not initially well received, however after players began to engage with the changes we did hear a lot more acceptance of the changes except for a few reoccurring things: Lighting Bolt and Thunderbolt changes went too far and its hard to keep aggro now. So we made changes on both of those fronts. Additionally we were hearing some stuff about Rally not being a very good choice and so gave it a few boosts. We also heard from Fury warriors that the Phoenix Strike mana change made their already not-great mana situation worse, and so we took a look at shaving off some of the higher costing Fury feats.
  • The Lightning Warrior Ultimate Thunderclap has been changed from 33% damage scaling to 50%. This change will bring the damage on Lightning Bolt and Thunderclap back up significantly (though still not as high as it originally was pre-nerf).
  • The Aggro generation on Lightning Bolt has been boosted from a ratio of 1.5 SD to 1.7 SD (Which mixed with Thunderclap changes further boosts its damage).
  • The Aggro generation on Thunderbolt has been boosted from a ratio of 1.02 SD to 1.2 SD (Which mixed with Thunderclap changes further boosts its damage).
  • Pummel had its cooldown dropped from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.
  • Rally had is Maximum Health benefit boosted to 15% (up from 10%) and now affects both Max Health and Vitality.
  • Slash's mana cost was reduced from 150 to 50.
  • Griffin Strike's mana cost was reduced from 150 to 50.
  • Griffin Strikes Cooldown was lowered from 15s to 10s.
  • Wizard Balance:
  • Like the Lightning Warrior, the Fire Wizard had a bad go this last patch. Through all the feedback we heard a few reoccurring things: Flaming Meteor changes went too far (lots of "it's worthless now"), surviveability for the Fire Mage went from bad to worse, and we have a tough time with mana. So we took a look at making the specialization a bit more well rounded. We are a rolling back a lot of changes to Flaming Meteor and a little bit from Inferno, and additionally gave a large boost to Cauterize to create a much more reliable way to keep your health up. Finally we took a look at mana costs for all Wizard spells, including Ice, and shaved some of the more troubling numbers down.
  • The cooldown on Flaming Meteor has been changed from 60 seconds to 45 seconds and the damage reduction has been fully rolled back. (Was 2.4 SD, went to 1.8 SD, now back to 2.4 SD).
  • Inferno's Damage had its nerf partially rolled back (was 1.8, dropped to 1.6, back to 1.7).
  • The Fire Wizard Talent Cauterize now has its proc-chance scale with talent rank, growing 1% each rank to a maximum of 40% chance (versus a static 20% chance).
  • Scorching Burn's mana cost was reduced from 150 to 100.
  • Mindspark's mana cost was reduced from 200 to 50.
  • Ice Javelin's mana cost was reduced from 150 to 100.
  • Hoarfrost's mana cost was reduced from 150 to 50.
  • Crystallize's mana cost ws reduced from 250 to 150.
  • Priest Balance:
  • Priest's seemed mostly okay with the recent balance changes, however we were hearing that the drop in Mass Heal was too much. We have partially rolled that back. Additionally we took a look at mana costs across the board and made some cuts where needed. Finally we gave a bit of a better boost to Smite as its last change was fairly minor, and took another swing at boosting Shadow to viability.
  • Mass Heal's healing over time has been half-way rolled back to 1.6 SD. (was 1.8 SD, dropped to 1.4 SD, now back up to 1.6 SD).
  • Bless's mana cost was reduced from 100 to 50.
  • Absorb Shield's mana cost was reduced from 150 to 100.
  • Smite's mana cost was reduced from 100 to 50.
  • Smites cooldown was lowered from 8 seconds to 6 seconds.
  • Shadow Bolt's mana cost was reduced from 100 to 50.
  • Gloom's mana cost was reduced from 200 to 100.
  • Gloom's cooldown was lowered from 15s to 10s.
  • Hunter Balance:
  • The recent hunter changes seemed to be fairly well received, we heard very little in the way of feedback on hunters as a whole (at least from actual hunters). We are taking that to mean that the class is playing rather well right now and so left them alone. Like the other classes and specializations, we did take a look at Hunter's mana costs, but after evaluation found that they had some of the lowest average costs compared to other classes (Lightning Warrior being the other that was low, which also didn't receive any mana cost changes).
  • No change to the hunter this patch!
  • General Balance:
  • A few minor changes to Spirit Essences as well as a few bug fixes.
  • Will's out of combat mana regeneration has been bumped up slightly to 20 mana per second (was 24, dropped to 18, now back to 20).
  • Further increased the damage boost that lower level players receive when battling level scaled enemies.
  • Scroll Of Protection, Boon of Regeneration, and Marat's Fury had their durations increased to 2 minutes (from 90 seconds).
  • Lucky Rune had its duration increased to 5 minutes (from 4 minutes).
  • Celestia's Swiftness had its duration increased to 3 minutes (from 2 minutes) and had its power changed from 10% to 15%.
  • Fixed an error where Celestia's Swiftness was reading as 8% bonus.
  • Fixed an error where Lucky Runes were saying the incorrect benefit.
  • Fixed several double %% signs for mobile users.

New in Villagers and Heroes: Wrath Of The Black Thrush 4.8 (Apr 17, 2018)

  • 4.8 is packed full of improvements to all areas of the game, including new content, user interface, new ranching animal and more!
  • New Features
  • The following new features have been added.
  • We have added two new high level zones, Turnapin Peak and Gortrin Passage.
  • The story picks up right where it left off with Nadia and the Lumineers in Glendergan.
  • Players can proceed into the snowy peaks to find out what sort of trouble the Lumineers are getting into. This zone features a full length story, new bounties, and a special treasure hunt mechanic where players can attempt to hack pass codes in the Turnapin machine, and consequently hunt for the treasure it unlocks.
  • Once Turnapin has been conquered and the player is level 87, the player can enter Gortrin Passage. At first glance players may think there is no main quest line here, only bounties, and that is partially true. Unlike other zones, Gortrin Passage has a hidden (and optional) story line that takes place entirely outside of the questing system. Within this shadowy cavern lies an intricate story interaction where depending on the player's action, can end it different ways - rewarding different rewards. There are a total of seven different endings. Furthermore, there is a secret way where players can reset the entire story line and try it again, earning new rewards each time. All of this is dependent on treasure hunting and sleuthing, learning just what happened deep within these caves.
  • Experience needed to level from 86 to 88 has been lowered back to normal amounts.
  • A new ranching animal has been added, the Boar!
  • Boars produce pelts that can be turned into leather.
  • Boars ask for treats just like a Sheep.
  • Like Pigs, no Boar is hurt during the pelt extraction process!
  • All pelts now have new names and icons. The new patterns should be clearer, helping player identify what is what (especially when harvesting from your boars!).
  • All pelts now have a green "Use" message, which can break down pelts into lower versions. All fleece, ham, and eggs also have this new ability, however breakdown recipes remain as before.
  • Pelt into Leather recipes have been returned to requiring 2 pelts each.
  • All Hunter gear recipes now have identical refined ingredient requirements as cloth gear.
  • The drop chance on pelts and leather have been slightly reduced.
  • Movement Changes
  • We have implemented the proposed changes regarding movement and legacy speed. Our testers have tested this system thoroughly and have given it the thumbs up. We are excited not only because the legacy issue is solved, but also quality of life on mounts in general is SEVERELY IMPROVED. Happy running / jumping / cruising around!
  • A new item has been added, Golden Speed. This item functions identically to a mount, except that the player is running and there is no mount. There will be a version of Golden Speed sold in the shop. It will cost 300 crowns and additionally unlocks Premium speed.
  • We have added auto-mounting. Auto-mount can be turned off in the options. Auto-mount will automatically mount your avatar during the following triggers:
  • Logging in
  • Zoning
  • Leaving Combat
  • Leaving Water
  • Anytime that you are forcibly dismounted because of gathering, crafting, or interacting with an object.
  • Premium Mount speed has been increased from 210% to 215%.
  • We have changed it so players receive their gnomish jumping height while mounted. This applies to all mounts as well as Golden Speed. Have fun jumping!
  • Base movement has been changed to 100% for all players, new and old.
  • The following interactions will no longer dismount the player:
  • Talking to an NPC
  • Buying or selling at a vendor
  • Auction House
  • CoG Distributor
  • Opening your vault
  • Interacting with a Village project sign or stocking bin.
  • All players with legacy speed enchantments will be converted into the mount system. All players who had legacy speed will be given the Golden Speed mount item for free, and will have their mounted speed boosted to a value that is equal to or greater than the value of their previous running speed. In certain rare cases where a player who gain no benefit from getting a free Golden Bridle, they will be given a crown pack instead.
  • General Improvements
  • General improvements to the game.
  • Added "The Hero's Pack" starter pack.
  • Add a new section to the item shop for new players.
  • Warrior's Rally now also increases maximum health by 10%.
  • All harvest items can be 'used' to break the item down. The same ratio persists, 8 turns into 10.
  • Reduced combat experience tables at lower levels, making it easier to level from 10 to 70, mostly targeting the 20-50 range.
  • Increased the Rebirth experience boost across the board, mostly targeting levels 1-50.
  • Ardent Society now boosts combat and village experience by 100% (up from 50%).
  • Elixirs of Nurturing, Creation, Reaping, and Mercenary all now boost experience by 25%.
  • Pet System Changes
  • All pets gained after this patch will be what old players know as pet slot two. This means that going forward players can only have one pet out at a time. However, all pets prior to this build will stay exactly as is (so players with old pets can still have all five of their pets out at a time). This was done because having five pets out at a time per player is adding lag internally, as well as lowering frame rate for nearby players.
  • All pets (old and new versions) now last 10 minutes instead of 3 minutes.
  • Pets should now be seen by other players more often, and not just if you summoned the pet while the other player was nearby.
  • Updated the tooltip for animals in the animal vendor window.
  • Updated acquisition information for eggs, ham, and pelts.
  • We have removed the Treant Polymorph toy from Red Darrig Chests and instead have added it for sale from Flynn McRufus.
  • We have updated Red Darrig chests to include new mounts:
  • The Black Widow (exclusive to Red Darrig Chests)
  • The Nightmare Tarantula (exclusive to Red Darrig Chests)
  • The Sinister Drakata (exclusive to Red Darrig Chests)
  • We have also added several event zone mounts.
  • The odds of getting certain item types are now printed in the Red Darrig Chest tooltip.
  • Golden Fleece items are now grey in rarity (so players know that they should sell them to vendors).
  • Due to player request, the first village vault now behaves the same as the other village vaults, i.e. requires Normal Vault privilege to access, and can be locked to require Restricted Vault privilege.
  • Epic Gathering tools have been reduced in price from 150 to 125.
  • Belxur's frost pools slow for less and deal less damage.
  • Valax's shadow wave does much less damage. It can still easily one shot a player, but a well built player has a chance to survive the damage.
  • All Elemental sheep now require ranching level 17 (instead of 17,18,19,20).
  • The grow time for Pie ingredients have been reduced from 45 hours to 36 hours.
  • The Christmas event has been turned off. It will be back again next year.
  • We have removed the Dodge mechanic from the game. Players can still use the hotkey to roll, but it has no gameplay effect. The distance that a player rolls is now slower than running.
  • Crystallize Vim Shards have been removed from the game. Players that had left over shards will have theirs converted to Ruby gems, which are a 1:1 gold sell value compared to the Vim shard.
  • We have removed the Crystallized Vim Vendors from Ardent City.
  • The Starfall zone has been removed. The portals have been removed and all players that were within the zone will be transferred to Summer's Hollow.
  • Four new vendors are in Ardent Castle across from the travel pad that sell armaments for Stardust (basically Asteria clones, but one for each class).

  • Enemy and NPC headers have been remade with a portrait graphic and unique art that shows their bounty type.

  • The position of the health and mana bars on mobile has been flipped, to match the new PC HUD.
  • We added support for Chinese (simplified) to the game.
  • Chats from languages that aren't supported by the current character set (such as Chinese for English players, Russian for Korean players, etc.) are no longer shown (i.e. players will no longer see a bunch of boxes with ???? in them!).

  • Possibly fixed an issue that was leading to enemies becoming invulnerable while not being Aegis. If this issue persists after this build, please let us know!
  • Fixed font tags in knowledge book.

New in Villagers and Heroes: Wrath Of The Black Thrush 3.5.6 (Sep 19, 2015)

  • Item Shop:
  • We did a large overhaul of the item shop, including repricing, adding new items, and reorganizing.
  • Rounded prices: We adopted a new ‘round’ price scheme in the item shop. Most items that ended in a nine were rounded to an even five or ten.
  • For clarification, we created the name “Gnogpack.” This is any item that unlocks special appearances at the Gnogmenting station (before these were called packs, appearance packs, or Gnogmenting packs).
  • We added a preview function to the Item Shop. Any outfit, piece of gear, or gnogpack can now be previewed directly on your character before purchase. Simply click the item to open the preview window.
  • We have removed Golden Tools from the item shop. Any player that owns a Golden tool will continue to have and be able to use the tool as normal.
  • New gathering tools have been added to the item shop. These tools boost lucky find by 10%, gathering experience by 5%, and increase the speed of gather by 20%. These items can gather more than a normal tool before needing a repair, but they do need to be repaired from time to time. These tools bind on equip.
  • A new line of Crafting Tools have been added to the item shop. These items boost crafting experience and the speed of crafting. These tools bind when equipped.
  • A new category has been added to the item shop: Toys. Here players can find various toys that have fun effects that do not affect gameplay. Some toys are permanent (the player can use them any number of times) and others are consumable (they contain one use). More toys will be added in the future.
  • A new category has been added to the item shop: Companions. Here players can find various companions for sale. Companion toys are tiny versions of creatures and characters of the Seven Realms. Companion toys can be activated from your inventory, and will follow you around the world.
  • We have added a huge amount of new Gnogpacks to the store. Some of these were based on old Gnogpacks, some based on existing in game items, and others based on new items.
  • General: Added 10 colors of Boot and Glove gnogpacks, as well as a Villager, Ardent hat, Ardent worker, and technologist gnogpack.
  • Classes: Added over 60 new Gnogpacks containing over 300 various appearance styles for the various classes.
  • Healing and Spirit potions have a new special visual effect when consumed.
  • Activating items (in comparison to eating or drinking items) has a new special sound.
  • Elixirs are activity based consumables that focus on particular player activities. All Elixirs last exactly one hour and stack with any other item that exists in game. (Some of the elixirs will be familiar to players, as they are repurposed old items).
  • More Detailed information about item shop changes can be found here: https://forum.villagersandheroes.com...m-Shop-Changes
  • General:
  • Gathering tool Changes:
  • Gathering tools that wear out will continue to have the reduced chance for lucky find; However now in addition, a gathering tool that is in ‘poor’ condition will increase the time to gather by 1 second. A tool in ‘terrible’ condition will increase the duration by 2 seconds.
  • The amount of times that a tool can be used before needing repairing has been slightly reduced.
  • Repair changes:
  • The price to repair all items has been increased. This will mainly effect high level items, items below level 35 will remain about the same.
  • Lucky Cards:
  • Lucky cards have been largely reworked to be more fair and fun.
  • Lucky card crown price has been dropped from 14 crowns to 5 crowns. There is also a 10 pack of lucky cards available for 45 crowns.
  • All items in the lucky card draw will be at least equal in value to the price of a lucky card ticket (5 crowns). If a player chooses to buy a lucky card ticket, they will always see at least an equal return on their purchase.
  • We have added a new exclusive companion to the lucky card draw. The only way to get this companion is by playing lucky cards.
  • Daily Login Rewards:
  • Daily login rewards now work in a different way. Instead of getting to the day 5 mark and getting the same few mediocre items every day, the daily login reward now resets after day 5. This allows us to give much better and more exciting rewards through the login reward system.
  • Day 1: Gold, silver, or copper.
  • Day 2: Combat XP + Gold, Silver, or Copper.
  • Day 3: A Copper chest containing a random good item + gold + XP
  • Day 4: A silver chest containing a random great item + gold + XP
  • Day 5: A gold chest containing a random really great item + gold + XP
  • After collecting the day 5 reward, the next day will be back to a day 1 reward.
  • Gold and XP: Gold and XP now scale with character level. The higher level, the more gold and XP. Gold and XP also scale with day, day 5 granting upwards of 10x rewards.
  • A tip icon has been added to the login window that explains a few details of the system.
  • Various text in the login window has been cleaned up or reworded.
  • Hovering over a copper, silver, or gold chest will tell you what type of items the chest can contain.
  • Improvements:
  • The Equinox Event Zone,'The Oases of Anuk'Amon,' has been added.
  • Three of the Pharaoh's (Umun, Ranubis, and Okyris) have brand new boss scripts, and some "new tricks up their sleeves."
  • Two new special hats have been created: 'The Pharoah's Headdress' and 'The Pharoah's Circlet.'
  • Two new outfits, 'The Drifting Nomad,' and 'Nomad of the Night' have been created.
  • Three new special toys have been added: 'Sand Scarab,' 'Sankata Companion,' and 'Equinox Alignment Trinket.'
  • New option slider: "Pixelation". This allows you to decrease the resolution of 3D rendering. The 3D world will become less detailed and more blocky, but this can greatly improve frame rate.
  • Hunter Changes
  • We reduced the cost by 5 spirit points for all of the Hunter Feats that are only available through the Talent Tree. Specifically, these are Assassin's Shot, Splinter Shot, Gift of the Dryad, Strength of the Bear, Speed of the Stag, and Wounding Shot.
  • Assassin's shot had its refresh time changed from 12 to 10 seconds, and it received a small damage increase when attacking while hidden.
  • We reduced the refresh time on Concussion Shot from 40 to 20 seconds
  • All sheep are now no trade.
  • Skarn drops runes a little less often while enraged and the healing amount of healing runes has been reduced to make him a bit easier. His runes don't stay around for quite as long anymore.
  • We did some work making lower level zones after the tutorial a bit easier, and less of a chance to get mobbed by enemies. Mainly this focus on low level fairies (they do less damage) and some fixes to the following zones: Moonglade, Trader's Path, Lady's Lake, Elk Meadow, Memorial Pond, Southern Coast, Green gate, Oak Valley, Zombie Town, Forever's Advent, Southern Marsh, Bearhold Valley, Sailors End, and Addicts Ascent.
  • The price to buy house skins and themes with in game gold has been raised
  • Motes of Yorick now stack to 7500.
  • Yorick's Fervor's tooltip was shortened.
  • Clockwork Harvester's tooltip was shortened.
  • Level one items now have zero innate stats (this makes the tool-tips for item shop items cleaner)
  • Added chat commands so players can /walk, /jog, or /run
  • Increased the drop rate and quantity of Printing Parchment found in Undercroft.
  • Enchanted Gear:
  • When this magical gear is equipped, its enchantment will transfer from the gear to the character permanently. This prevents the problem that when a character Rebirths, he or she can no longer wear high-level gear that has a special enchantment (like Winged Speed, etc.). It also means a slot is freed on the gear.
  • All enchantment gear is no longer bind on equip
  • There is a special animation effect when a player gains an enchantment from gear.
  • When a player equips an item that has a lower-ranked of an enchantment that he or she already has, then the lower level enchantment will not be stripped from the gear. Conversely, if a player equips an item with a higher-ranked version of an enchantment that he or she already has, it will bind to the character.
  • Yorick's Hat: Yorick's Hat has been updated visually, has a new much lower price, but has also been changed. New versions of the hat will sell for a lower amount of crowns, but will no longer have a 25% boost to Mote Find. All Yorick's hats and Gathering Crowns acquired prior to this build will keep the 25% boost as a legacy bonus.
  • New detailed sections breaking down the specifics of Yorick's Fervor and Clockwork Harvesters can be found in the help section of the skills window.
  • The gear Golden Winged Helm, Royal Gathering Hat, Yorick's Hat, Cheetah Boots, Kangaroo Boots, Wallaby Boots, Silver Winged Helm, and Bronze Winged helm are now Enchanted Gear.
  • We introduced new versions of many of the above, with slightly different artwork, as well as introducing some new Enchanted Gear.
  • User Interface:
  • UI has been made more joyful and readable by brightening up parchments, simplifying and tweaking text, and making tons of general improvements.
  • Glitchy text outlines have been removed entirely and replaced with subtle drop shadows.
  • Knowledge book has been updated and redesigned visually.
  • Fixed glitch with talent labels making them get cut off
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed: There is a multi-stacking bug with item shop bag. When players bags are full, items go into their web bag (as they should), but if it is more than one item, they lose all but one of the item. This can be reproduced with any quest that gives more than one item. For example, 'Not Just For Togas.'
  • Fixed: Fishing Holes in Hogfish invisible https://forum.villagersandheroes.com...l=1#post106705
  • Fixed: At -94 111 133 in Gargoyle Creation Caves – if a player jumps down to this rock from above, expecting to land safely on it, will instead go through it onto the ground near mobs. (https://forum.villagersandheroes.com...l=1#post107903)
  • Fixed Otin's dialog to correctly read 300% not 350%

  • Fixed: clicking on mushrooms in Briny Caverns is difficult
  • Fixed: items couldn't be dragged from the item shop bag into inventory while your character was dead, making it impossible to buy and use Voltan's Resurrection while dead.
  • Fixed: Missing textures in Pyrron Ramparts by Malvolio the rat.
  • Fixed: In Ardent Castle, King Leo's throne is orange, and has no texture.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing 'spitting' fairies under the level of 50 to deal significantly more damage than we intended.
  • Dropped the level of the trolls in Ethos Island to level 7 (from 9)
  • Made the boss at the end of the tutorial quest line a bit easier
  • Added some free items to the tailoring tutorial quests to help the player reach the next level
  • Fixed: Near -39 25 24 in Briny Caverns is a place where players get stuck and /unstick does not work to free the player, who must suicide or teleport out. The spot is in the very corner of the two brick walls.
  • Fixed: Using a feat in the moment while a mob is dead but not yet exploded will pend the feat and block it from being used again.
  • Fixed: Made the charter and supply exclamation icons a bit smaller.
  • Fixed: There is a Level 7 nip hunter (-82 94 363) in Cook Cavern which is a level 30+ zone. Its description reads “spawned by nip queen during combat”
  • Fixed: Teleporting into Cooks Cavern will get your player immediately attacked by nearby enemies
  • Fixed: Entering Wizard Dorm from the Wizard Lab portal will get your player immediately attacked by nearby enemies
  • Fixed: Entering Shadow's Den through the Oak valley portal will get your player immediately attacked by nearby enemies
  • Fixed: Some of the information from the Guild of Guides NPCs is outdated as it refers to past Event Zones
  • Looked at and bandaged: Orog Doomslayer (level 70 Elder in Blighted Bastille) will not give a player credit for the kill if they are not in the credited party. Even if you're fighting him, or healing others, you will not receive exp unless you have kill credit or your party does.
  • We looked at this boss but what exactly is going on is knotted up in several layers of code. What we think is going on is aggro tables are essentially getting jumbled because of all of the extra zombies that are summoned right at the end of the fight. For now, we have changed it so Orog will get his invulnerable black shield at the 5% mark when he summons these zombies (whereas he did not before). This will make him a little harder since the zombies will be required to kill, but we think it will fix the credit bug.
  • Fixed: In Undercroft, clicking on the first inkwell will cause your character to spaz and not be able to loot it
  • Fixed: Quest: Brotherly Love does not track commander Brestin to be in Undercroft
  • Fixed: When turning in the Quest Rogue Gnomes to Grifo (61 -144 381 in Ardent Castle) he mentions Greenhaven being unopened still.
  • Fixed: On gaining elder levels, each time you reach x3 and x8 (x represents 0, 1, 2 etc). It reads; Next bonus: increased health, spirit, and vim pools.
  • Fixed the monster charters that were requesting monsters that did not exist.
  • Fixed: There are 2 NPCs named Nolan
  • Fixed: Got stuck at: You are at -162 492 164 in Sapphira's Lament
  • Fixed: There is hole in Crystal Spire I cannot escape from. @ You are at -276 118 146 in The Crystal Spire.
  • Additional Notes:
  • Removed all accessory and outfit vendors from the game.
  • Removed the gnogment tab from Cully the shield vendor.
  • Added new crown packages
  • Blackfury Gorge portal is being moved from Badlands to Kingsport.

  • Sugarsweet Summit, an intoxicating new special event zone, has arrived!
  • Players of all levels will delight in the many goodies and rewards offered in this sumptuous realm, and will be constantly challenged by the 6 formidable Elder Bosses lurking within.
  • Improvements:
  • Sugarsweet Summit, a new event zone, is up now.
  • Improved Advanced Lighting so it takes up less memory, which should hopefully make it faster and less prone to crashes. (With Advanced Lighting on, in Ardent this saves about 200 Megs!)
  • Removed the "Friend All" pop up that occurs when moving into a village (due to popular request).
  • Spirit Regeneration when out of combat is a little slower than before.
  • Changed Fishing and Bug Collecting so they take nearly the same amount of time to do as Mining and Plants. (hopefully) reduced the time to pet and feed ranching animals (untested).
  • The effects section on tooltips for loot and gatherables will now be smaller, but will expand after hover for a second or two. This should make tooltips for gatherables less annoying when gathering many items.
  • Monsters and players using click-to-move are better now at avoiding obstacles.
  • We made the coin loot stacks a little more visible.
  • Boosted the drop rate of the Pyrrick Acorn.
