What's new in The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt 8.6

Aug 2, 2018
  • We implemented our own take on it as a mini-game launched from multiplayer mode. Just join or create a session to have some fun and earn extra gold. We’ve also added a new tier 4 frigate ship. It’s free - you can encounter her on missions, towns and while sailing in the open world after having unlocked the Florida map.
  • We also balanced some ships and fixed bugs from single and multiplayer modes.

New in The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt 8.5 (Apr 25, 2018)

  • The long awaited 8.5 update for The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt is now available!
  • To give the game a unique look, you can now enable in the Settings menu “Cinematic FX” filters. Customizable adjustment to each time of day and weather is now available. But that’s not all. You can adjust each filter separately to make your game look more grim or colorful. Just give it a try before we announce the screenshot contest next week. Stay tuned!
  • We are also introducing two new modes in multiplayer. First mode is multi-tiered ship racing. This is a fun new mode where you can test your captain skills to make the best time to the finish line. And the wind is not your only enemy... We hope that you’ll feel a retro Mario Kart vibe in this mode.
  • The Second mode is dedicated to our die-hard multiplayer fans – it is a separate Tier-6 made specifically for the large fortress ships. This is intended to prevent inhibition of max potential of the other tier 5 ships.
  • As with the The Pirate: Plague of the Dead, thanks to our friends from UNLOCTEAM (https://unlocteam.com) we are introducing Russian and Ukrainian Voice-Overs. You can switch between Russian, Ukrainian and English in Language section in the main menu.
  • This update also features some additions to your UI and the highly requested rescaling of the Santisima Trinidad premium ship, and the addition of more cannons to the Sovereign of the Seas and HMS Tonnant.
  • Enjoy the game, especially two new multiplayer modes!

New in The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt 8.3 (Nov 29, 2017)

  • It introduces a long awaited Chinese Junk. There are two versions of the ship – free and premium!
  • It’s a custom design based on drawings and models of pirate junks from the 18th century. Her main advantages are speed and maneuverability.
  • In this update we also rebalanced and tweaked all military and civil class ships to improve AI behavior and balanced difficulty levels.
  • Please mind that the free non premium junk is a tier-4 ship, and it only becomes available after unlocking the fourth map (Bahamas) as this affects difficulty level. Their locations are random – you can encounter them in the open world or during a mission, or buy them in cities.

New in The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt 8.2 (Oct 26, 2017)

  • Introducing the epic HMS Duke of Kent premium ship, with 190 cannons on board. The Royal Navy planned to build what would have been Britain and possibly the World’s largest ship of war, sadly she was never built. Four years after the Battle of Trafalgar and the fall of the Santisima Trinidad to the much smaller and less heavily armed vessel HMS Neptune, prompted reconsideration for the construction of this ship.
  • We’ve also implemented a lot of fixes and we optimized the code. Game now supports anti-aliasing (just set quality for good or higher in the game launcher). We’ve also rebalanced some ships – mostly 1st and 2nd rates, this includes the non premium ships as well. A few changes were made in multiplayer mode, the option to view all ships per "settings" option in multiplayer. This means you no longer will have to bulk your ships together at one port, resulting in improved FPS and reduced lag. Clock stopper bug also fixed. Compass is now visible in the spyglass mode.
