  • General changes:
  • Now you can choose sound playback device in the game settings ("Sound" tab).
  • Smoke is now removed when a new round in "Search & Destroy" mode starts.
  • Weapons and Supplies:
  • An assault rifle with a new unique camouflage has been added to the ranked rewards: Vz.58 P "Legend".You can purchase the weapon for 1250 tokens.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue causing passive artifacts' effects in the UI (when pressing Tab) to display incorrectly during a match.
  • Fixed an issue causing the game client to crash when creating a clan.
  • Fixed an issue when the player couldn't hear the game sounds while using bluetooth headphones.

New in Survarium 0.59g (Aug 1, 2019)

  • The new Survarium Leagues Season commenced today and will last until August 31! Participate in ranking battles to earn the tokens and obtain unique weapons and equipment!
  • A weapon with a new camo will be added to the ranked rewards this month!
  • Your character needs to have tier 3 (or higher) equipment profile to participate. Players with tier 3, 4 and 5 equipment will be put in the same matches. The matchmaking uses Elo rating to balance the teams.
  • The following locations and game modes are available in this season:

  • When losing a match and ranking stars, your rank may be lowered, but you will not lose ranks at rank 5 or below. Note: you can move down from rank 1.
  • When a season ends you receive tokens: a special league currency. The higher the rank you achieved during the season, the more tokens you are awarded.
  • If the ranking match search is disabled for you, open the Season League tab (the cup icon in the upper-right corner of the screen) and return to lobby or restart the game client.
  • Good luck in the ranking battles!
  • General changes:
  • Now slowdown modifiers cannot increase character's speed (if the sum of modifiers is negative, the speed is not increased).
  • Weapons and Supplies:
  • Smoke grenade is back. Fixed an issue with particles that made the visibility on the smoke border better than outside of the smoke.
  • AKMSU assault rifle added to the Treasure Hunt.
  • - "Keeper Of The Sun" armored vest and pants are removed from the game shop.
  • - "Tornado" energy drink now increases speed by +5% (instead of providing -5% to slowdown).
  • Locations:
  • Vector Laboratory: in "Slaughter" mode windows on the second floor are open. Added passages through the central door of the two story building. Weapon boxes (in front of the central entrance to the building) replaced with a container.
  • Mamayev Kurgan: fixed issues allowing the players to see and shoot through certain objects.
  • Dangerous Knowledge: added subtitles for audio diaries and phrases where subtitles were missing.
  • User Interface:
  • Added indication above the player character speaking to voice-chat.
  • Added pop-up descriptions for the following game modes: Team Missions, Tutorial, Training with Bots.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue causing the progress of daily logins to reset.
  • Player names containing "<" or ">" were displayed incorrectly in the game. These symbols were replaced with "-". All affected players received a voucher for a free name change.

New in Survarium 0.59f (Jul 18, 2019)

  • Summer event:
  • Take part in the summer event! From July 19 to July 28, play in PvP-matches and earn event currency: symbols of herbs, fire and sun. Collect enough symbols and exchange them for unique rewards!
  • The following items are available for exchange: AKMSU "Hot sun" assault rifle, "Herbs" and "Mathsticks" decals.
  • Only during the event "Keeper Of The Sun" armored vest and pants are available in the game shop.
  • General changes:
  • Removed possibility to do a fast reload by sprinting.
  • Health of allies is now displayed.
  • Added an option to disable/enable always showing health and names of allies (under "Game" tab).
  • Added an option to toggle sprint by pressing a button ("X" by default) instead of holding down a button (Shift by default).
  • It's now possible to remove boosters by clicking LMB once.
  • Introduced various changes to the game UI.
  • Supplies:
  • Smoke grenade temporarily disabled because of smoke abuse.
  • Enemy medkits and bandages now require several hits to be destroyed.
  • Added rewards (points, silver and reputation) for the following actions: healing an ally with a medkit, destroying an enemy medkit, disarming an enemy supply.
  • Introduced wait time before using allied medkits and bandages. It's only possible to use one medkit or bandage at a time.
  • Locations:
  • Vector Laboratory: added two new exits from the hangar. Slaughter game mode is back.
  • Chemical plant: it is no longer possible to climb the factory pipe.
  • Cologne bridge: closed a gap in the fence which allowed to throw a battery from the location.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue when progress of using medicine (medkits, bandages, antitoxin, etc) was not displayed.
  • Fixed an issue when it was not possible to set supplies in some spots.
  • Fixed an issue when a character did not receive damage from a melee attack when crouching.
  • Fixed an issue when the player did not receive a message about damaging or killing an ally.
  • Fixed an issue when profanity filter was not working.
  • Fixed an issue when progress bar while using allied medkit or bandage was not displayed.
  • Fixed an issue causing allied medkits not to have a green marker when your character had "Friend or foe" skill.

  • General Changes:
  • Survarium game client and game launcher are now using 64 bit architecture. Please let us know on forums or via a support ticket if you have issues when installing or launching the game.
  • Introduced new skill tree: Survival.
  • Now factions' and medkits' colors correspond to the colors of premium equipment. Scavengers – yellow, Black Market – blue, The Renaissance Army – red, The Fringe Settlers – orange.
  • Improved melee attack. Now you don't have to aim to kill an enemy in melee, and when landing a blow, your character will slightly turn so the enemy is closer to the center of the screen, and the blow itself looks more natural.
  • User Interface:
  • Now the supply is added into the pocket with one LMB click (you had to double-click before).
  • Removed numbers on the recoil chart and first three bullets recoil. Now only the recoil chart is displayed.
  • Rewards for the V-Day in Europe Event:
  • To thank you for the support during the event, traders of all factions reduced their prices. The Renaissance Army traders reduced their prices by 50%. The rest of the traders reduced the prices by 25%. These prices will be in effect for a week.
  • Introduced two new decals as a reward for winning faction in the "V-Day in Europe 2019" event. "Victory" decal provides +5% to silver, "For Courage" decal provides +5% to experience. Decals' set provides an additional bonus +10% to reputation.
  • Both decals are available in the decals shop for 100 thousand silver each.
  • All players who acquired at least 10 thousand reputation with The Renaissance Army during the event received "Victory" decal for free.
  • Increased bonuses of "Year 1945" and "May 8" decals.
  • Weapons:
  • Winchester 1894: armor piercing increased from 16 to 30, effective distance reduced from 120 to 110 meters.
  • AKMSU: changed the positions of incorrectly placed modules.
  • Supplies:
  • Medkits' icons were updated.
  • While placing a supply, it now changes its color to red or green. The color depends on whether it's possible to place the supply at the chosen spot. After being placed, supplies are displayed as usual.
  • - "AI-2 Medkit" was renamed to "Scavengers Medkit".
  • Due to the introduction of the new skill tree the amount of HP medkits recover was changed.
  • Scavengers Medkit: 50.
  • The Renaissance Army Medkit: 45.
  • The Fringe Settlers Medkit: 75.

  • General Changes:
  • Onyx: duration of the active effect reduced from 4 to 3 seconds.
  • Introduced new visual setting: SSR – screen space reflections. The setting is available under Graphics menu.
  • Faction Challenge Event:
  • The game event will last from May 8, 2019 to May 16, 2019.
  • Earn reputation for your favorite faction fighting in PvP-matches at specific time! The schedule of the fights awarding event reputation is at the end of the news. If you wish, you can support several factions in turn.
  • Support a faction to receive rewards, including weapons with unique camouflage! All you need to do to get them is gather enough reputation during the event. You can get all rewards from all factions if you play long enough!
  • Each faction has the following rewards (total reputation required is in parenthesis): 500 spare parts (10.000), 3 day Premium voucher (20.000), unique WWII helmet with faction emblem (50.000), a weapon with unique faction camouflage (75.000), a box with 10 rare modules (150.000).
  • Faction event weapons with unique camouflage have all module slots unlocked.
  • The faction to receive the most reputation by the end of the event wins!
  • The winner will get a new decal which will be added in one of the upcoming Survarium updates. Moreover, after the event the winning faction will offer a discount on all its equipment and weapons.
  • The other three factions will also give a discount, but it will be lower.
  • Also, for the first victory during the event you will receive a side cap (Russian pilotka). With it, you can earn more reputation for the match.
  • Weapons and equipment:
  • Winchester 1894 is back into the game. The weapon is available on the 1st tier in Black Market faction.
  • Winchester 1894 now has three unique weapon modules: optics rail, "Maxim" Silencer and bullet loops.
  • Barrett M82, ASVK: now each ammo pouch increaseses ammo count by 5. Initial ammo count is 15.
  • Remington-700, TOZ-122, SV-98: now each ammo pouch increaseses ammo count by 10. Initial ammo count is 30.
  • RPD, PKP "Pecheneg", FN Minimi, Fort-401: now each ammo pouch increaseses ammo count by 50. Initial ammo count is 150.
  • "Guardian" set: "Slowdown" bonus changed from -5% to -3%.
  • Locations:
  • Vostok Radar Station: new damp weather variation is available for "Slaughter" mode.
  • Vostok Radar Station: it's no longer possible to climb 3rd floor in the antenna building in "Search and Derstroy" mode.

  • AKMSU: rate of fire increased from 600 to 625, effective distance reduced from 45 to 40 meter.

  • Mercenary: Complete 5/50/100/250/500 Daily Quests.

  • Artifact Hunt Expert changed to Glow of the Forest Expert: Win 5/50/100/250/500 matches in the "Artifact Hunt" or "Search and Destroy" modes.
  • Forest Superiority: Win a match with 5-0 score in the "Artifact Hunt" or "Search and Destroy" modes.
  • Treasure hunter: Receive all rewards in the Treasure Hunt.
  • Expert: Get a level 5 skill in 1/2/3/4 branches of the skill tree.
  • Talented: Put a minimum of 5 points in each of the skill trees.
  • Team player: Play 5/50/100/250/500 matches in a squad with your clanmates.
  • Introduced several new achievements, the list is below.
  • Team Missions Expert: Win 10/25/50 matches in Team Missions.
  • Explorer: Find all stashes in a Team Mission.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue when the game client crashed when an anomaly was destroyed by a capacitor.

  • The List of Changes in Survarium 0.58b:
  • Weapons and Modules:
  • AKMSU: Aim time reduced from 0.4 to 0.3 seconds. The values of "Rate of fire" modifier on the modules is reduced by half.
  • AKMN, AK-74N, AK-74M, RPK-74, Vepr and their premium versions now have three new slots for the following module types: magazines, reload handle, pistol grip.
  • AKS-74U received the same module slots plus a slot for the collimator bracket.
  • Locations and Game Modes:
  • School: fixed collisions on walls in the basement in the "Search & Destroy" mode. The location is now available.
  • Vostok Radar Station: improved collisions in the tower. It's no longer possible to see and kill opponents through the stairs.
  • Changed the conditions for receiving AFK/idle status in "Search and Destroy" mode. You should no longer be penalized for playing the mode normally. However, we won't disclose the new conditions so the players don't try to cheat the system.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue when it was impossible to deactivate an artifact while crouching in the "Search & Destroy" mode.
  • Fixed an issue when the containers for the artifact were not highlighted in the "Search & Destroy" mode.

  • Weapons and Equipment:
  • Introduced new assault rifle: AKMSU. The weapon is available on the 4th tier of the Renaissanse Army.
  • Introduced several new weapon modules. You can find those in Treasure Hunt, after match and in stashes found in the Team Missions. At the moment these new modules are available mostly for AKMSU. In the upcoming updates we will expand the list of compatible weapons.
  • Vz. 58: aiming time reduced from 0.35 to 0.3 sec.
  • - Аsh-12: aiming time reduced from 0.4 to 0.35 sec.
  • Locations:
  • CNPP Cooling Tower: added a version with the rainy weather.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issues causing rate of fire parameter to display incorrectly on shotguns.
  • St. Patrick's Day in Survarium:
  • Participate in the St. Patrick's Day event in Survarium from March 15 to March 25, play in the new game mode and receive unique rewards!
  • Play in "Search and Destroy" game mode, receive special event currency (mugs of ale, clover leaves, and pots of gold) and exchange it for the unique decals and L85 assault rifle!
  • - "Search&Destroy" mode is available on the following locations: "An abandoned base", "School", and "Vostok Radar Station" (2 variations).
  • The goal of the attacking team in "Search and Destroy" is to deliver the artifact to one of the two points. The defending team has to protect their base. If attackers manage to deliver the artifact (or kill all defenders), they win a round. Otherwise the round is won by defenders. After three rounds attackers and defenders switch places. The first team to win 5 rounds wins in the match.
  • The higher you place after a match, the more event currency you get! You can also receive the special currency in any other PvP-match, but playing "Search and Destroy" game mode will net you the biggest rewards.
  • You can exchange the Holiday currency for the "Mug of ale" and "Clover leaf" decals, and L85A2 "St. Patrick" assault rifle (tier 4). The weapon has a unique camo, 3 random modifiers and all its module slots unlocked.
  • Each of the event decals provides +10% bonus to experience. Both decals provide an additional set bonus of +10% to spare parts.
  • The event will last from March 15 to March 25 (10 AM GMT).
  • You will also get the Green Hat for the first PvP win during the event.
  • Equip the hat and gain +3 to each of the event currencies after a match in "Search and Destroy" game mode.
  • Premium account provides +25% to the amount of the event currency.
  • St Patrick's Day event currency can be earned in S&D game mode and in normal PVP-matches (but you will receive less currency).

  • Technical Skill Tree:
  • While designing the new skill tree, our goal was to come up with more interesting abilities than simply increasing a characteristic by 1%. Of course, not all technical skills introduce new gameplay mechanics, but we tried to create enough abilities that do. Some of them may seem too strong (and they could be), so expect more balancing and fine tuning in the upcoming updates.
  • Balance Changes:
  • We would like to see you using a larger variety of weapons in Survarium, so we are decreasing effective distance of assault rifles and increasing pistol damage. Many people complain it's too easy to use sniper rifles, so it now takes longer to aim with SRs to reduce quickscoping. The changes are also made to some of the less frequently used supplies. In addition to its current effects (reducing bleeding damage and stopping power affecting your character), Anesthetic will provide total immunity to fractures.
  • Updated Grenade Smoke:
  • We continue to work on the new renderer, and one of the most prominent changes is a new visualization of the smoke grenade particles. The smoke is darker and more dense, so it’s possible to spot other characters in the smoke only at the distance of a few meters.

  • We are introducing prestige levels which you will earn after reaching level 5 reputation with a faction. Each prestige requires 150.000 reputation and awards you with a skill point. Thanks to this you will be able to get enough skill points to fully unlock all 3 skill trees! Moreover, so you can unlock new factions equipment faster, we are reducing the amount of required reputation almost by two times!
  • Team Mission Improvements:
  • Now there are only 3 difficulty levels in PvE regardless of equipment tier. The higher the difficulty, the higher the reward (there is a chance to get premium equipment on the hardest setting), and you are not longer constrained by equipment tier.
  • Access keys also work differently. You can play team missions without an entrance fee (including locking spots when you want to play solo or duo), but all stashes you find will be available to you for free only once per day. On subsequent playthroughs you will receive only 3 stashes, and will be able to unlock the rest by using an access key. The cost of reroll is left as is.
  • These changes are to ensure you can participate in team missions without having to play in PvP, and also so you can more easily find companions for team missions.

  • Reputation System:
  • Reduced the amount reputation required to achieve ranks in factions: the maximum rank now requires 200 thousand (used to require 360 thousand).
  • After reaching level 5 rank in a faction you will be able to receive Prestige-ranks. Each Prestige requires 150 thousand reputation. At the moment it is possible to achieve 10 Prestige ranks in a faction.
  • Each Prestige rank rewards your character with a skill point.
  • All your current reputation exceeding 200 thousand will be counted towards your next prestige rank. For instance, if you had the highest rank in a faction, you will instantly get Prestige 1 with that faction, and another 10 thousand reputation towards Prestige 2.
  • All faction equipment now provides a small bonus to reputation gain with this faction.

  • Now matchmaking will prioritize equipment tier (determined by the maximum tier of your equipped item) and MMR when gathering matches. However, the longer you are in the queue, the higher the difference between equipment tiers of the players can be. This is to ensure you have the best possible gaming experience without having to wait for a match for too long.
  • Equipment costs for participating in a match removed, so now you pay only for using boosters. Silver rewards for matchers were decreased, booster costs increased. Due to this changes you will not lose silver when playing matches. However, you can still spend your excess silver on boosters.

  • Graphics Renderer Changes:
  • We paid close attention to optical effects and light sources. So, in 0.53 you will see the addition of God rays, lens flares, an anamorphic flare (directional bloom) and an effect of lens dirt. We've added SSAO, its implementation turned out to be great for quality, but quite heavy on resources. Therefore, in 0.53, we completely reworked this effect and achieved both good quality and many times better performance. In addition, a new option was added to the graphics settings: dynamic resolution scaling. If you enable this option, the resolution scaling will change in real-time to maintain the specified frame rate, which depends on the frequency of the monitor. New in Survarium 0.51 (Dec 29, 2017)

  • New Weapon Modification System:
  • Each module is a separate item and can be installed on one or several different weapons.
  • Added new module type: 45 degrees offset rail allowing to install another sight.
  • Modules differ visually, by quality and parameters. Each module can increase or decrease one or several weapon stats.
  • The better the quality of a module is, the higher its positive parameters and lower the negative.
  • You receive random modules for each PvP win. Higher quality modules are more rare than low quality modules.
  • Modules with average characteristics are available for purchase in the Workshop when you modify weapons.
  • By default all weapons have basic (standard) modules that provide no stats and only define how a weapon looks.
  • To install a module you need to inlock a corresponding slot: either kill enemies with that weapon or pay some gold. Kill counters for all your weapons are kept, so you will have some slots alerady unlocked
  • Some modules require other modules (for instance, a rail or a clamp) before they can be installed. Those intermediate modules also affect weapon's characteristics.
  • The next parameters are now only available on modules: recoil from the hip, recoil when aiming, aim time, dispersion, dispersion from the hip, effective distance.
  • If your weapons have modifiers with the stats mentioned above, you will receive modules with the same stats. You also receive a random modifier of the same quality instead of the modifier you lost.
  • If your weapons have non-standard (non-basic) modules, similar modules will be installed on your weapon .
  • If you had empty module slots (i.e. modules were unlocked but not installed), the best available to you (by number of your kills with the weapon) modules will be installed.
  • If you had non-installed modules you bought with gold, you will receive similar modules (you will find the corresponding items in the inventory).
  • Holiday Season in Survarium:
  • Everything mentioned below is only available during the Holiday Season event!
  • Play matches in the Gun Race game mode, receive holiday currency: snowflakes, pine trees and stars. The higher you place in a match, the more currency you get!
  • Exchange the currency for the weapons with unique holiday camos: Benelli M4 (tier 3), PP-19-01 (tier 4) and A-545 (tier 5). The weapons also have all their module slots unlocked, and provide a bonus to spare part gain: +7%, +10% and +15% correspondingly.
  • Gun Race is all-versus-all game mode, so every other player will try to frag you.
  • Before each match an equipment tier (from 1 to 5) is randomly selected, and a list of this tier's weapons is generated. The last ones on the list are always a snowball and an icicle. The snowballs kills a character with 100 HP in two hits, and the icicle one shots but only in melee.
  • Kill opponents to get the next weapon on the list. Melee kills let you advance through the list faster, but if someone kills you in melee, you roll back to the previous weapon on the list. The player to make the kill with the last weapon on the list wins.
  • You will receive a holiday hat for the first win in a PvP-match!
  • General Changes:
  • Now bots (AI controlled characters) use the damage statistics to choose where to look. Basically, the AI will more often check the spots from which the players usually shoot the bots.
  • Weapons, Equipment and Supplies:
  • Weapons:
  • Weapons with the (old) suffix were removed from the game. If you had an (old) weapon, it will be replaced, plus you'll receive another weapon as a compensation (details below).
  • Additionally you will get a base (with no modules or modifiers) weapon of the same class and tier as your (old) weapon. If you had a premium weapon with the (old) suffix, you will also get a premium weapon (in this case module slots will be unlocked and you'll get three random modifiers).
  • For instance, if you had a tier 2 AKM "Avenger" (old), you will receive tier 1 AKM "Avenger" with similar modules. You will also receive a tier 2 premium assault rifle, which in this case is AKS-74U "Corsair".
  • Locations:
  • Introduced various changes to Mamayev Kurgan location. Now matches should be more balanced regardless of where your team's base is.

  • Now the renderer for slow PCs supports light sources that provide only glare (they used to add diffuse lighting as well).

  • Story-driven Team Mission:
  • Story mission tells about a conflict between Black Market and The Renaissance Army, and also unveils the mystery about secret experiments which lead to creation of the Forest. Specifically for this mission we created a new map with lots of both open and indoors locations. We tried to add an element of exploration into the game, and also let you interact with the world of Survarium.
  • The mission is designed for a squad of three players, and to successfully finish it you need to complete a set of tasks. At least one of the players must reach each of the checkpoints: then defeated squad members (if there are any) are resurrected and may continue. If all squad members are dead, the mission is failed.
  • While going through the mission you will learn the storyline, but you can also find stashes containing various trophies which you will receive when the mission is successfully finished.
  • Team Story Missions:
  • Introduced "Team Missions" mode.
  • Introduced "Dangerous Knowlege" team mission. It tells about a conflict between Black Market and The Renaissance Army, and also unveils the mystery about secret experiments which lead to creation of the Forest.
  • To begin a mission special Access Keys are required. The keys are divided in free and premium. One free key is awarded for each of the first 2 wins in PvP matches daily (so you can get maximum 2 keys daily), and you cannot own more than 2 free keys. Premium keys can be bought in the shop. Your keys never expire and the free keys are always used first.
  • After the first login into Survarium 0.50 all players will receive 5 Access Keys (2 free and 3 premium ones).
  • To start a mission you need to spend one Access Key for each person. You can pay for yourself, and also for one or both allies.
  • The mission is designed for a squad of three players. However, you can start it solo or with a friend, but you need to block the rest of the spots: pay for another one (if you go duo) or for two other people (if you go solo).
  • When you join a PvE mission alone (and have not blocked additional spots), the game will find two squadmates for you.
  • While going through the mission you can find stashes with trophies (some of them are hard to miss, but it's not that easy to get all of the stashes). The more stashes you collect, the more rewards you get when the mission is a success. Can you find all the stashes?
  • There are three difficulty settings (easy, medium, hard) on each of five equipment tiers. The rewards for completing a mission depend on the number of stashes found, difficulty and equipment tier.
  • To successfully finish a mission you need to complete a set of tasks. At least one of the players must reach each of the checkpoints: then defeated squad members are resurrected and may continue.
  • You can resurrect immediately by spending an Access Key.
  • You can loot fallen enemies to resupply ammo.
  • If all squad members are dead, the mission is failed. The mission also has a time limit (45 minutes).
  • Added new UI screens before and after team missions.
  • Added Leaderboards for Team Missions. Your position is affected by the number of found stashes and mission completion time.

  • All players in ranked matches are divided in two groups. Group 1: the 2nd and the 3rd equipment tiers, group 2: the 4th and the 5th equipment tiers. For instance, if you have tier 4 equipment, you can be matched with players who have equipment of tiers 4 and 5.

  • Victory Day in Survarium:
  • Celebrate Victory in Europe Day with other survivors and participate in the game event! Complete missions from May 8 to May 18 and receive special event currency: helmets, flasks and flags. Gather enough of these and exchange them for unique rewards!
  • You can exchange the event currency for "May 8" and "Year 1945" decals, and also PPSh-41 "Star" with a drum magazine that hold 71 cartridges! USe both event decals on your equipment to receive a set bonus additionaly increasing experience and reputation your character earns in matches. Naturally, you will keep the decals and PPSh-41 "Star" you get during the event. And when the event ends players will no longer be able to receive these rewards.
  • For the first victory in a match during the event you will also receive "For Victory" medal decal. Equip it to increase the amount of currency you receive for completing missions. The medal provides a +2 bonus to each of the currencies.
  • Gameplay:
  • Duration of the slow down from weapon stopping power increased by 50%.
  • Faction reputation you receive in matches increased by 2.5.
  • Changed the way bleeding resistance works: it is now additive, not multiplicative. That means that it is not substracted from the bleed chance, but multiplied by it. For instance, if the bleeding chance is 60% and the resistance is 50%, the resulting bleeding chance used to be 60% - 50% = 10%. Now it will be 60% x 50% = 30%.

  • Shotguns now have "Shot Grouping" parameter instead of "Accuracy". We have also removed random pellet dispersion. These changes should make hitting with a shotgun more predictable.
  • Effective distance now means a maximum distance at which weapon inflicts maximum damage (previously it was distance after which weapon inflicted minimum damage). Because of this displayed effective distance is now generally lower. But in fact distance is now higher for many weapons.
  • The majority of weapons now have two types of bullets: common and armor-piercing.
  • Common bullets: effective distance and penetration are equal to the weapon's base stats.
  • Armor-piercing bullets increase penetration but decrease effective distance by 10%.
  • Weapons now have "Stopping Power" parameter. The bigger it is, the more a character is slowed down when hit from that weapon.
  • Pistols don't belong to a certain faction now. You get access to all pistols of certain tier by reaching that tier in any faction.
  • Pistols now have a separate ammo count and don't substract ammo for your main weapon. This allows you to equip a pistol and ammo for it and have maximum amount of ammunition for your main weapon.
  • All pistols are now drawn faster.
  • All sniper rifles now have "Bleed Chance" parameter which is displayed in percentage.
  • Bleeding inflicts 50 damage over 5 seconds. Bleeding starts in 1 second after a character was hit.
  • New weapon type: carbines. Several rifles that used to belong to sniper rifles category are now considered carbines.
  • Parameters of all weapons were changed accordingly to the new weapon mechanics.
  • Armor Parameters Changes:
  • Armor now has 3 types: light, medium and heavy.
  • The heavier armor is, the more it decreases incoming damage and character speed.
  • Armor now has an additional tip. It shows (in percentage) decrease of incoming damage from a weapon of similar tier, lower tier and higher tier.
  • Armor sets are now available: the more pieces of the same set you have, the more bonuses you get. Sets provide up to 3 bonuses (for equipping 2, 3/4, and 5/6 set items).

  • Following your multiple requests we are returning the incentive to login to the game more often. You will be receiving special bonuses for daily logins. Every fifth day you will receive extra rewards and on reaching the 15th day – a unique reward.
  • Daily Quests:
  • To make the in-game quests more varied is yet another long awaited request from the community which we are also happy to satisfy. On top of the traditional missions the game will offer new daily quests which can bring you not only extra silver, experience points and reputation with the faction, but unique rewards too! These quests are simple, yet varied: win a match, play in squad, make x-number of frags with a specific weapon type, play for a specific faction and so on.
  • New Weapons:
  • We continue expanding the arsenals of factions with new weapons. At the rank of Wachmeister (6th tier) the Black Market will offer a Colt M1911 pistol. This very pistol was recently voted for by the Survarium community and we are glad to fulfil the request of the players. The second new weapon in the game is Glock 17 pistol, which is to broaden the arsenal of the Scavengers.
  • Technical Improvements:
  • With this update we introduce "pingless" network synchronization. In previous implementations of the network synchronization we continuously reduced the delay of player inputs, but it remained constant for everybody in the match. With 0.45 we make that value an individual one, so you are no longer dependent on the network conditions of other players. Besides, we minimize the response time to change of the network conditions, which will considerably reduce the number of input shifts without increasing the delay parameter much. All that will result in improved comfort of play regardless of the systems' performance and network conditions of other players in the match.
  • Daily Rewards:
  • Log into the game regularly to gather more bonuses.
  • Every fifth day you will receive extra rewards and on reaching the 15th day – a unique reward.
  • Daily Quests:
  • These quests are updated daily. Daily Quests are separate from missions.
  • Daily Quests are easier than missions, but cannot be further simplified.

  • Now the hit marker (cross) corresponds more to the damage inflicted. When the damage of your shot has been decreased by more than 20% we display additional identifiers above the enemy, so you can get a better understanding why the damage was lower.   • We have optimized the critical parts of the code, so they use multi-thread calculations more actively (calculation of players, calculation of bullets, multi-thread renderer version for low-end PCs). This will allow the game to better use the calculation power of the processor and will increase the performance on those systems where the processor is the bottleneck. With some configurations we could achieve a gain of as much as 70%. Moreover, there are several improvements to the netcode: drawing characters during battle now depends on the individual players' pings.
  • New Weapons:
  • The Fringe Settlers get to please their fans with Fort-401 light machinegun which replaces RPK-74m on tier 8. The RPK-74M is now available on the 8nd equipment tier of the Renaissance Army. Moreover, there are two new rare weapons: L85A2 – tier 8 assault rifle, and Pancor Jackhammer – tier 10 automatic shotgun.
  • Change of Item Modification Reroll Mechanics:
  • Get the modifiers you want faster and spend surplus spare parts! Instead of being able to reroll modifiers using silver once per 6 hours, you now can reroll with a small amount of spare parts anytime. Please note, with the spare parts you get only one replacement option (but you can always stick to the current modifier). Premium currency will expand your selection of options.
  • Gameplay:
  • Changed the price and repair cost of many items.
  • Repair costs of premium items are now the same as those of their general counterparts.
  • Distance from which you can hear beeping of a sensor increased to 15 and 20 meters for throwing and stationary sensors correspondingly.

  • New Game Mode: Artifact Hunt:
  • Two teams fight to acquire a rare artifact called Radiance of the Forest which spawns at a random location on the map. The team that finds and delivers the artifact to its base scores a point. The first team to score 5 points wins. Or, if the match time runs out, the team with more points wins.
  • At any given time, only one Radiance of the Forest will appear on the map, and its location is displayed to all players. The position of the player who has the artifact is also shown to everyone else on the mini map. The character that has Radiance of the Forest receives increased health regeneration from the artifact, but is slowed down and can't sprint. If the artifact is successfully delivered, the next round begins: both teams start back from their bases and fight to get the artifact again.
  • Monthly Rankings:
  • By participating in any battle, you will receive stars for wins and stars for defeats. When you have enough stars you will automatically move up the next league. The higher you get, the harder it is to proceed, but the rewards are getting better and better. Each month players' positions in the leagues are reset.
  • Changes to the London Location:
  • We have significantly reworked London so it's faster to get to the key points of the location from the respawn point. The topology of the level inside the tower has also been revised. These changes aim to increase the dynamics of battles on the map, increase the role of alternative routes and make shootouts in the central part of the location more frequent and important.
  • Pixel Perfect Hit Detection:
  • Survarium 0.42 introduces the "unlimited tickrate" technology, which basically means that the tickrate doesn't affect hit and damage registration. So when firing at a moving target, you only need to take bullet speed and enemy position into consideration. Previously random factors (like different pings from the players to the server) affected that, and thus the enemy positions on your PC could be different from the ones on the server. Now, if an enemy is near (so the bullet travel time is insignificant), you only need to have the enemy in your sights, and the bullets will hit the target.
  • Gameplay:
  • New game mode: Artifact Hunt. Deliver Radiance of the Forest artifact to your base, but remember: the enemy team is trying to do the same.
  • Introduced new monthly rankings. Participate in the battles and win to increase your rank and get better rewards.
  • You will now receive points when your team successfully captures a research station even when your character leaves the capture zone or dies.
  • You will not receive points if you leave the zone and the enemy team starts to capture the research station.

  • Heroes of the Day:
  • In Survarium 0.41 we are introducing daily rankings that will let you to compete for the first places and rewards in one or several nominations at once.
  • The Best Player. To secure the first place in this nomination you have to get more points in a single match than other players.
  • Killstreak. To win in this nomination you need to achieve the longest killstreak in a single match.
  • Winstreak. This nomination is for players who have the highest consecutive number of wins in matches.
  • New Supplies:
  • Survarium Update 0.41 brings five new supplies into the game.
  • Throwing Sensor allows detecting opponents, enemy mines and traps in a small radius around itself for 10 seconds. To take the sensor into the battle, you have to reach level 6 rank with Scavengers.
  • Stationary Sensor allows detecting opponents, enemy mines and traps in 30m radius around itself for 30 seconds. Instead of throwing sensor, the stationary one can only be deployed near your character. The sensor can also be destroyed by weapon fire (including friendly fire) or a grenade. To equip Stationary Sensor, your rank in Renaissance Army needs to be at level 8 or higher.
  • Take the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in one of the nominations to get a bonus to experience, reputation and silver for the next 24 hours. More importantly, you also get a unique icon which is displayed next to your nickname. When choosing the winners, only the last day's results are taken into account.
  • Anomaly Capacitor destroys an anomaly from a safe distance. It also removes poisonous cloud left after sponge explosion. You need to have rank 2 or higher with The Fringe Settlers to unlock anomaly capacitor.
  • Healing Totem has a miraculous power to speed up health regeneration of allies in a certain radius. However, the totem can be easily destroyed by weapon fire or a grenade. To equip Healing Totem, you have to reach rank 8 with The Fringe Settlers.
  • Ammo Box allows your allies to replenish ammunition and supplies. But keep in mind that ammo count is limited, and the box withstands only so much damage before it's destroyed. To equip Ammo Box you need to reach level 8 in Scavengers faction.
  • New Equipment:
  • Faction traders receive a new weapon and several pieces of equipment. Scavengers get their hands on OTs-3 SVU, a semi-automatic sniper rifle a with bullpup configuration. It's available on rank 8 with the faction. The rifle is well suited for middle distance battles and, thanks to its high rate of fire, will be good even in higher level battles.
  • Moreover, we are adding Biker Pants (Black Market, level 4), Saboteur Helmet (Scavengers, level 5), Stalker Helmet (The Fringe Settlers, level 6), and Sentry Helmet (Black Market, level 7).

  • Weapon Modules:
  • Now you can modify the weapons by installing different modules! The number of available modules for each weapon depends on its type and tier. To unlock the module you have to perform a certain number of kills from the weapon.
  • Modules change both the characteristics of the wepon and its visuals. Say, laser sight decreases the dispersion when firing from the hip. Vertical grip decreases the recoil, and angled grip decreases the penalty to recoil while moving. Find the complete list of modules below!
  • Changes in the Economy:
  • We believe it is wrong to penalize you for playing actively and using consumables so we have decided not to take into account the number of used cartridges and supplies when calculating the cost of playing in a battle. Ammo and supplies still have a price of usage which will be added to the total cost of participation in battle. You will see this cost on the equipment screen.
  • Voiced Quick Commands and New Music:
  • We have added English voice overs for all quick commands in the game. Now it will be easier for you to communicate with the teammates in the heat of battle. Moreover, there’s now unique music in Survarium lobby and on load screens of each level. To cap it all, special music added before the round ending, as well as at victory and loss!
  • Gameplay:
  • Added a mission to collect Artifacts. To complete the task you need to collect 3/5/7 artifacts in a battle. An Artifact is deemed collected if you have at least one artifact slot available. Anomaly destruction is not counted.
  • Collecting artifacts during battle no longer awards points.
  • Oxygen tanks now activate automatically when entering the anomalous zone and deactivate when leaving.
  • Anomaly damage protection added for characters that played less than 10 battles.

  • Log in to Survarium during the Holiday Season and receive a unique camo and a fire monkey decal! Participate in the matches, find Christmas toys and exchange them for bags with presents. The bags contain silver, various consumables, and blueprints of seasonal weapons. Gather blueprints to get unique UMP-45, SVD and ASh-12
  • Improved Network Synchronization:
  • We changed the netcode, so that now the pings of other players do not affect your picture of the world, and characters' movement is smoother. Moreover, the teleports now occur only if your ping is very high (above 100ms).
  • Updated Characters' Skills:
  • The changes are to balance skills both in number and usefulness. We have added several new skills which have replaced previously inactive ones. And also have discarded one of two final skills. Now each set of skills only has one ultimate skill.
  • Gameplay:
  • Introduced the Christmas Raid game event. Log in to Survarium during the event to receive a unique camo and a decal with a Christmas theme. A Christmas tree and a symbol of year 2016, a fire monkey, have been added to the lobby. During the event you will get 2-4 (3-5 with a Premium account) Christmas toys at the end of each match.
  • The color of toys depends on the level of equipment of your character:
  • Green toys: levels 1-4
  • Blue toys: levels 5-7
  • Red toys: levels 8-10
  • Also when ransacking stashes after a match you can find a box of 10 toys of the corresponding color. 15 toys of the same color can be exchanged for a bag of the same color (green, blue or red). From the bags you can get 1 or 2 blueprints of seasonal weapons, and also silver and various consumables.

  • "The Last Stand" Game Mode:
  • The first game mode in Survarium that is not team-based. You are on your own and have to fight other characters to stay in the game! Weaker players are eliminated from the fight as the match progresses. The player with most points wins, but there’s a twist. When you kill a player you steal a part of his or her score. But beware: you also lose points when your character is killed!
  • "Knowledge of the Forest" Skill Tree:
  • Anomalies and artifacts are important elements of gameplay in Survarium. That is why we are featuring the third skill tree. Its abilities are focused on reducing damage from anomalies, as well as increasing the efficiency of artifacts. Also, in order to activate artifacts, you need to learn a special skill from "Knowledge of the Forest" skill tree.
  • New Weapons and Equipment:
  • All Survarium factions received new equipment or weapons. Five weapons were added into the game: assault rifles OTs-14 "Groza", VHS-2, SCAR-H, light machine gun FN Minimi, and legendary sniper rifle Barrett M82. There are also four new equipment sets. The first provides heavy armor, the second –anomalous resist, the third is for snipers. Finally, "Veles" is a well-rounded set of equipment with no distinct pros and cons.
  • New In-game Tutorial:
  • This change is primarily for new players, but we hope experienced fighters will also learn something new about the game. The changes affect not only the tutorial. We have completely reworked the entry part to give new players enough information to get started in Survarium. Or to let you refresh your memory in case you haven’t played for a while.
  • Character Face Selection:
  • For a long time Survarium characters have been an army of clones. In Survarium 0.30 you can finally change the appearance choosing one of the four faces (more coming in the future). This can be done when creating a new character or changing your character's name. You will also be able to change the appearance for free after completing the new tutorial!

New in Survarium 0.28 (Apr 29, 2015)

  • NOTE: In the Starter League, players should equip low-level gear. Otherwise they will be having losses in terms of after-match silver.
  • As you know, there have been several important changes in the update 0.28a that affect the economic system of the game. In particular, we are talking about reducing equipment levels from 15 to 10, and adding Leagues. Let’s review how these innovations’ impact gameplay.
  • So, in normal (non-ranking) match, the level of equipment significantly affects the economy of the player. At lower levels the player earns a small income, however the cost of repairs and the purchases are pretty low. As the player fights with opponents wearing high-level gear, his post-match bonus will increase, but also the player’s expenses become higher. Therefore, on the one hand, at a high level a player can count on a substantial income, however, he must demonstrate great skills so that his cash balance can always be positive. This principle has always been in effect.
  • So what changed with the update 0.28? +50% victory bonus was added. After analyzing the current results, we concluded that this bonus has both positive aspects and disadvantages. The disadvantage is that getting this bonus is not only affected by the player himself, but by the whole team. So now situations occur when a player shows great results in battle, but because of non-coordinated actions of other members the team loses and the player receives no bonuses; as well as a possible situation in which a very poor playing team member gets a substantial bonus after the match at the expense of good teammates. Thus, a situation is frequent when the income after the match is either too low or too high.
  • In this regard, we plan to make the following changes: decrease victory bonus to +25% and at the same time increase the reward for the player's actions in battle. This should lead to more equitable distribution of rewards after the match.
  • The second point is associated with the Leagues and the players fighting for ranking. Unlike normal battles, in ranked matches, experience, reputation and silver bonuses do not depend on the level of equipment. The amount of the bonus depends on the League in which the player resides. So, when playing in the Newcomers League, the bonus is zero, i.e. players are just starting their ascent to the top. Starting from the Survivors League players get match bonuses. In the penultimate League (Master League) level of the bonuses corresponds to the match (with level 10 equipment). Hence, good players do not necessarily have to wear high-level gear to play in the prestigious League – it all depends on his/her skills.
  • The disadvantage of the Leagues system is that at the start the poorly-equipped players can go into battle against more advanced opponents (since all start with the same rating), but as the season goes, the distribution of players in the Leagues will be more even.
