  • Here's what's new:
  • Export your replays to GIF!
  • You can now export your replays to GIF!!:
  • Any clip that is shorter than 10 seconds can be exported to your Super Arcade Football folder for you to show the world!
  • Added sharing options!:
  • After you export your GIF, there is an option to share on twitter or to upload to our very own Steam Artworks page!
  • We are very excited to see your absolute belters!
  • Minor Bug Fixes!:
  • We're getting there!

  • That's right! As you might have noticed, SAF has been expanding into a much bigger project than originally anticipated, and we want this game to be amazing. But we could really do with an extra pair of hands!

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 06/21/2018 Update (Jun 30, 2018)

  • More AI improvements:
  • We are now going to be focusing part of our next weekly updates on improving the AI. Today's update has a nicer AI, it's making fewer bad decisions and is a bit smarter in evading opponents, passing, and taking shots on goal. Still got a long way to go.
  • Bug Fixes!:
  • UI improvements :
  • Some buttons weren't clickable, also the indicators above the players head were showing the wrong colour for certain states.
  • Referee:
  • The ref didn't know how to blow his whistle properly, so we have taught him the ways. Also we've reviewed the stoppage time, the ref is no longer so generous.
  • Glitches:
  • Fixed quite a few visual glitches with animations. Specifically when getting tackled there were a few frames where the animation went funny, but no more! Also the ai would do strange flickering movements but that has also been resolved.
  • Online fixes:
  • People had noted some half time problems, and other weird behaviours.
  • Other general fixes:
  • We're constantly tweaking and fixing things here and there. The game seems to be feeling more solid with each update, thanks to your guys feedback :)

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 08/04/2017 Update (Aug 7, 2017)

  • Team Management:
  • You can now change formations and substitute players before and during the match (as can the AI teams)! This addition also brings with it the substitutions
  • bench!
  • Time out handling:
  • Players are now restrained to a certain amount of time to take their actions (Like free kick, throw in etc).
  • Referee Advantage:
  • The ref now lets play continue if it is an advantageous situation, he even does silly arm gestures and all!
  • Injury Time:
  • All those fouls now add up to injury time at the end. Also better End of game handling
  • Player Energy:
  • Players get tired from running, kicking and everything else modern footballers do. Some players are fitter than others, so keep an eye on your team management to make sure no one is getting exhausted.
  • Various bug fixes

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.14 Early Access (Jan 18, 2017)

  • What's new:
  • Get that 2017 look
  • We’ve started the process of revamping the graphics in the game and are super happy to share with you the new player model and nets!
  • Optimisations:
  • The game should load lickity split. Please let us know if you notice the improvements!
  • Bug Fixes:
  • We know there are still quite a few more, and are slowly but surely making our way through them.
  • Now, let’s talk about our plans for this year
  • We briefly talked about our overview for the game last year. We’re still on track, but the next few updates will bring big changes to SAF...for the better!
  • New UI / Graphics:
  • Continuing on with the graphics revamp, we will be updating the menus to a much higher level of polish, as well as all the graphical graphics in the game.
  • New / Improved Gameplay:
  • We are mercilessly combing through the whole gameplay (physics, movements...you name it!) and improving what works and rewriting all that doesn’t. We think we have a good core at the moment, but there is so much to be improved, and now is the time to nail that down. We want all fun and no bugs.
  • Adding remaining Features:
  • Once we (and you lot) are pretty happy with the above, we will then be able to add in all the missing features/modifiers and so on.
  • So there will be fewer updates, but when we do, they will be much richer in content.
  • That’s pretty much it for this announcement. We hope you all like the new models, we’ve got lots more to add, and now we have our 3D whiz Natale, we are in a good position to make the game look super good!

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.13 Early Access (Dec 8, 2016)

  • Added Crosses, Headers and bicycle kicks!
  • Great skill by Ocokoljić (AKA @Axcel)
  • Added Custom Teams:
  • Now you can create and edit your own team and play them online or in the single player modes. We look forward to seering what you guys create!
  • We've also added OutOfTheBit F.C and some tinpot club called Early Access F.C (Never heard of them).
  • Added Team Management:
  • Someone not performing? Need to bring on a super sub? NOW YOU CAN!
  • Now with Team management you can setup your squad, change formation and substitute players during the game.
  • (*NOTE* Team management is currently not available online, but will be soon)
  • Gameplay improvements:
  • Players now have energy and fitness levels which affects the way they play throughout the match. The more you use them, the more tired they get. (We've also introduce a modifier Never Tired that stops this if you prefer.) This carries over in tournaments mode too, so managing your team should add a new challenge here.
  • Bug fixes:
  • Have made some great progress fixing some nasty issues, especially ones online. There are still some lurking which we are in the process of squashing.
  • Player Names:
  • Unfortunately, we have had to slightly scramble the player names in the team data. We are working on making this customisable ASAP.
  • Chapecoense:
  • On a more sombre note, after the horribly tragic events in Brazil, out of respect we have added Associação Chapecoense de Futebol to our Extra teams section. We wish the best to the family and friends of the players.

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.12 Early Access (Sep 28, 2016)

  • First round of Gameplay improvements:
  • We've improved the keeper, he is now not so annoying, a bit smarter and fairer on penalties!
  • We've also improved defending, so there's more action in the midfield now.
  • Player stats are taken into account too, so certain players bend the ball better, tackle better etc...
  • Added player collision! You no longer run through the player! You can barge into them (just by running onto them) and can get the ball this way, even causing the other player to fall over (can also push the ref)
  • Overall these improvements make the game much more enjoyable (we think) and are a better balance, but still have a lot more to tweak and improve!
  • Bug Fixes:
  • There were a few instances where the ref decided to run towards the goal when a penalty was awarded, this has now been fixed!
  • Other bugs here and there have been fixed

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.11 Early Access (Sep 9, 2016)

  • Added Load and Save:
  • It's been a long time coming, but FINALLY we have Load and Save for tournaments! So you can start and resume any of the preset tournaments :)
  • Along with this, we have locked the match settings for any preset tournament, so no cheating!
  • Added Achievements:
  • The first of many. At the moment there are 7 for you to unlock, but we will continually be adding more and more. Furthermore, if you have any ideas for achievements, please let us know in the Official Achievements Discussion
  • Fixed some Team Data:
  • Some of you sharp folk noticed a few inconsistencies and problems with certain teams. Thanks to you they have now been fixed!
  • General bug fixes

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.10 Early Access (Aug 18, 2016)

  • Added Premier League and Serie A Teams:
  • The first of many new teams have been added, with roughly up to date squads and kits (we will update according with the transfers).
  • New Tournaments!:
  • Along with the teams, you can relive last seasons magic of Leicester winning the PL, or take Palermo to their rightful place of top of Serie A!
  • At the moment there is still no load and save, but that will be added within the following weeks, so you can actually have a bit of a single player experience outside of one marathon sitting.
  • Improved online handling:
  • We've only gone and written our own server for SAF! This means that we now have full control of the online handling, so if for some reason the servers drop, we can fix it much quicker than if we were with a third party. We've also optimised for LAN games, so if you are playing at work or school, it should feel super smooth.
  • General bug fixes

  • Now when you finish a match online, you can re-setup the match without losing connection with the opponent...

  • There were a few bugs that could actually crash the game, we have managed to crush them!

  • Again, still needs way more features, but this current version of online has find a random game, and start a private game from anyone on your steam friends list. If you want to add Quistard and challenge me, feel free. But remember to bring a good supply of salt, because I don't hold back.

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.06 Early Access (Jun 3, 2016)

  • Added Localisation:
  • Mamma Mia! We've translated the full game to Italiano, and also layed the foundations for many more languages. We're at a point where we are going to be adding a lot more UI and text, so we decided to handle different languages earlier rather than later.
  • Randomised teams in preset tournaments:
  • Thanks to your suggestions, you will have different teams in your groups when you play the World Cup and the Euros.
  • Added Morocco:
  • Because, we love Morocco.
  • Improved Frame Rate:
  • Those of you with beastly PCs may not notice this, but those on the lower end should see a massive improvement.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Lots of bug fixes in this one (mainly UI)
  • We're working on lots of things behind the scenes, and working towards more features and content, can't wait to share those with you soon, and release them in the game!

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.055 Early Access (May 16, 2016)

  • Referee:
  • We've now made the referee a lot smarter and consistent, he looks forward to you all yelling and hurling abuse at him.
  • Injury Time Added:
  • The match won't stop dead on 45/90 mins anymore, a combination of fouls and match breaks are taken into consideration when deciding how much time to add on to each half.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Some of you have pointed out some real horrible UI menu bugs, (thanks!). They have now been squashed and more will be fixed within the oncoming updates.

New in Super Arcade Football Demo 0.05 Early Access (May 9, 2016)

  • Throw-Ins:
  • Finally our players have learnt the art of throwing a ball! We may tweak the physics of this, as at the moment it seems they can throw like olympic shot putters.
  • Customise controls:
  • PC and Gamepad users can now assign your own custom controls (these will be saved for keyboard and first gamepad)
  • Keyboard is now separate from the other controllers:
  • If you have one keyboard and one gamepad, you can now play 2 player (previous versions treated keyboard and gamepad 1 as the same )
  • PS4 controller users no longer have to see xbox ui buttons everywhere
