  • NEW FEATURE: Scrap and Recycle:
  • Endless and Daily mode Hunters can now choose to Recycle weapons on the ground by pressing "X" on the keyboard or "Right Bumper"/"Right Shoulder Button" on the controller;
  • Recycling weapons give you a new resource called "Scrap";
  • Scrap is now the only way to purchase Weapon Upgrades from Gunnar on the Endless Shop;
  • Recycling upgraded and/or rarer weapons will give you additional Scrap;
  • Enemies have a chance to drop Scrap when they are defeated;
  • The Ducan Commander drops quite a lot of Scrap;
  • Luck effects and Morning Star do not affect Scrap drop chance or value;
  • Increased all Bounty prices for Tier 2 and Tier 3 items on the Endless Shop by 50%;
  • NEW FEATURE: Anniversary Mode:
  • To celebrate our 3-year Anniversary, during the month of August all Hunters will be wearing party hats, and enemies will create a colorful shower of confetti when defeated
  • Gameplay:
  • .Kami Tanks temporarily removed from the game - they were very buggy and not fun to fight against. I will rework them and give them a glorious return on the next update;
  • Removed Workshop items from the Daily runs (they still load normally on Endless mode);
  • Fixes:
  • Fixed a lot of performance issues and crashes. Game should run better and smoother now;
  • Fixed crazy twitching buttons on the main menu;
  • Updated main menu links for current Twitter, Facebook and Discord;
  • Fixed Spooky Turtles not shooting their guns;
  • Fixed a bug where the fire rate of Miniguns would not behave properly (they are fun again to use!);

  • Gameplay:
  • Enemy projectiles that destroy player shields now deal 40% of the remaining damage to health;
  • Enemy projectile speed increased by 30% across the board;
  • "Wanted" enemy damage bonus increased from 20% to 30%;
  • "Steroids" now gives a maximum of 100 hp per stack;
  • "High Tech" now gives a maximum of 50 shields per stack;
  • Daily Run now spawns a new Challenge every level instead of every 2 levels;
  • "Light Focus", "Medium Focus" and "Heavy Focus" are now Rare challenges and no longer stack;
  • "Light Focus", "Medium Focus" and "Heavy Focus" bonus damage increased from 30% to 75%;

New in Relic Hunters Zero 1.0 Update 14 (Aug 19, 2016)

  • Features:
  • New "Daily" run for Endless Mode with 6 Ranks (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master);
  • Major performance optimization: game should run MUCH smoother on systems with low video memory now;
  • Enemies now have a chance to drop ammo when defeated. Chance increases for equipped weapons' ammo types, and increases further when you are running low on ammo or empty;
  • Entropy System for Endless Mode: as bad/unlucky things happen during a run, the chance for good things to happen (dig spots, rare item drops, etc) increases;
  • New enemy: Kami Tank
  • Kami Elites (the flying ones) redesigned: they are smarter and shoot homing needles now, oh my :O
  • You can now play Local Co-Op without Friendly Fire (it is turned off by default);
  • Added a "Friendly Fire" option on the Gameplay Settings menu;
  • A small arrow now quickly points towards the dig spot when hunting for buried treasure;

  • It is no longer possible to get the same Unique Challenge twice on the same run on Endless Mode (in case you remove it the first time);
  • Rare Challenges now expire automatically after a few levels (you can see the counter on the Pause Menu);
  • Prices to Hack both Rare and Common price are now the same;
  • Prices for Hacking Challenges have been reduced across the board;
  • All characters' accuracy increased by 50% across the board;
  • Enemy movement speed increased 20% across the board
  • Enemy Projectile speeds increased 25% across the board
  • Enemy projectile damage decreased 25% across the board
  • "Freeze on kill" time reduced by 50%;
  • Max Screen Shake reduced by 50%
  • Screen Shake Recovery is now 30% faster;

  • Base Shield Regen Charge Speed reduced from 1.0 to 0.25;
  • "Infinity Battery" relic no longer speeds up Regen Start Time;
  • "Infinity Battery" relic now provides 400% faster Charge Speed;
  • Base move speed increased from 4.5 to 5.5
  • Base sprint speed increased from 6 to 7.5
  • Base move friction increased from 0.4 to 0.45
  • Pinkyy's move speed increased from 5 to 6
  • Pinkyy's sprint speed increased from 6.5 to 8
  • Pinkyy's aiming speed increased from 3 to 3.5

  • Low-performance detector now only automatically disables the "Persistent Objects" feature (not shadows or reflections);
  • Removed "Controller Sticky Aim" option on the Gameplay Settings menu (it is now always on);

  • Relics are now kept equipped by default in Adventure Mode;
  • There is a new terminal at the Spaceheart which allows you to reset all Relic selection in Adventure Mode;
  • Gunnar has arrived at the Spaceheart in Adventure Mode, and he will sell access to Endless Mode if you prove yourself worthy;
  • You can unlock Endless mode without paying Gunnar by defeating the Ducan Commander;

  • Fixed a bug where breaking a Ducan's shield with the Shotgun would trigger a very loud sound;
  • Fixed a bug where players would get stuck when the Red Box spawns at the Ducan Commander's room (I believe it is REALLY fixed now);

  • Features:
  • Digging is now in Endless Mode! You can dig up a regular Treasure Chest which will award you with either a full Relic, a weapon or a lot of Bounty;
  • Sae the Hacker has arrived at the Endless Shop! She can remove any of the last two active Challenges;
  • You can now revive your co-op partner at the Endless Shop;
  • You can now pay 800 Bounty to reset the Tiered Item table on the Endless Shop;
  • A small pop up now informs you of the name of pickups and shop items before you interact with them;
  • Game Over screen now has a darker background;
  • Gameplay:
  • Melee weapons now add their damage to the characters' base melee damage;
  • Super Shield now explodes when duration is over, dealing damage to enemies and pushing them away;

  • New Power-Up: Super Shield - makes you invulnerable for a few seconds

  • The Crystal Bacon now heals a fixed percentage of your total health instead of giving health per kill

New in Relic Hunters Zero 1.0 Update 3 (Sep 7, 2015)

  • Hey hunters,
  • It is weekend 3, Update 3 and you are 300,000 hunters around the world! See the pattern there? It is a VERY GOOD one, very good indeed.
  • You have been making really cool mods, and you have inspired Betu and I to work very hard on the next big things. Endless mode is almost complete! We still need to implement Digging, Chests and Hacking, which should all be done next weekend. If everything works fine, we should all be sharing our high scores before October.
  • I also completely rebalanced the base gameplay and Adventure mode to make space for all the cool stuff coming from Endless. The game will be a bit easier on Adventure mode now, and the grinding a bit faster. We want everyone to learn how to beat the Ducan Commander in Adventure before he’s ready to completely destroy you all again in Endless.
  • Also, I would like to thank the new Open Source contributors that have added their code to the game. If you are waiting for me to approve a Pull Request, please be patient. I have very little free time to work on the game, so I prioritized the new Endless features over integrating and testing your code. I am sorry, and promise to stop procrastinating as soon as you’re reading this.
  • Finally, some of you may have noticed our Localization spreadsheet has been locked. This is due to heavy changes from Endless development. Since I don’t want you to lose translation work, or end up creating bugs while the new mode is being made, it will stay locked until Endless is content-complete (which should happen next weekend). Thanks for your support!
