- Colt Walker has a reload animation now. S&W Schofield loses unused ammo in cylinder after reload
- Important fix: client crash caused impact decals into local player model

- increasing difficulty are required to win a round. This is succession of short, tactical and very fast paced missions that can be played in current maps as fof_revenge,
- fof_desperados, fof_tijuana, fof_fistful, fof_cripplecreek or fof_robertlee among others.
- The Good, The Bad and The Bot game mode: can you tell humans from bots? Then kill any other human before they kill you. Supported on fof_elpaso and fof_forest.
- Dynamite goes boom when shot while is alive
- Eagle Eye perk: lighted dynamite sticks are easier to hit by guns, effectiveness decreases over distance
- Dynamite sticks can be picked up while they are alive. You get a dynamite stick that can be used again as it was brand new.
- Mexican player model is used as desperado in mexican themed maps. Include mexican taunts
- Load-out quick launch menu: load your equipment presets in 1 click
- Use primary attack key to throw physics props instead just pressing use again to drop them
- Fixes:
- Client crash due impact traces being applied wrongly to local player model
- Several team balancing related issues
- some weapons had wrong or not very accurate physic collisions
- walk function didn't work when player used certain weapons
- General changes/Improvements:
- Friendly fire forgive poll: defaults to autoforgive. No forgive poll will be started if offender has accumulated too much FF though.
- Multiplayer AI more resposive
- Performance optimization relative to buffers for glow based effects, this was too fillrate consuming.
- new cvar fof_glow_allowed, now glow outlining effects can be disabled for increased authenticity and improved framerate in some cases (also accesible from FoF Options
- panel)
- HUD related objectives panel improved, only icons that matter at each time are showed, they fade out while being drawn on screen center
- Added a bunch of new cvars to options/multiplayer/advanced tab
- Crosshair aperture is a tad wider by default. It fits better the real aim cone which is unchanged for all weapons (same values as v3.8 ). It can be customized in options/multiplayer/advanced tab
- Removed old game mode 'Hired Guns'
- Map related changes:
- fof_snowy: higher cart speed, new buildings that add extra cover and higher tactical possibilites to both end areas
- fof_revenge: turned to winter themed level. New custom mode: Gold Rush
- fof_desperados: some textures replaced. New custom mode: Gold Rush
- fof_robertlee: performance optimizations, new custom mode Gold Rush
- fof_presidio: updated to support new survival mode
- fof_forest: new sawmill building, more cover, new lighting, custom mode changed to The Good, The Bad and The Bot
- fof_fistful: new lighting, custom mode changed to Gold Rush (random sacks, infinite respawns)
- fof_elpaso: new The Good, The Bad and The Bot custom mode added, improved 3dskybox, some new props and ground textures
- fof_abandoned: new lighting, sand storm effects and a tornado added. Additional geometry, extra cover. Added Boss custom game mode
- fof_monumentvalley: added a barricade to first stage (same objective as second stage), improved fog and 3dskybox, some texture changes and tweaks. A box of dynamite sticks has been added to both stages. Controlling them is key to win.
- fof_tijuana: lighting changed to daylight, now all areas are accessible, new game mode is Gold Rush Double (both teams capture at town's center)
- List of removed maps (can be downloaded separately): all coop_ maps, fof_tramonto (tramonto_lite renamed to fof_tramonto), fof_railhouse, duel_darktower, fof_coldblood
- Weapon related changes:
- Darker edge effect while in iron sight mode (decreases vision field). Now this effect is enforced. Edge blurring shader removed, it was barely noticeable and took large performance hit
- Schofield unused ammunition in cylinder will be lost when reloading
- Walker full reload sequence added, damage increased 20 percent, cost increased up to 50
- Brass knuckles damage increased 20 percent, cost decreased -5
- Bow damage increased at close distance (+10 percent)
- Axe: player speed slightly increased
- Dynamite: +1 extra stick, fuse changes color as stick is closer to explode
- Free aim revolver: moving while aiming will result in some slight revolver drifting effect
New in Half Life 2 Mod - Fistful of Frags Client 3.0 (Aug 2, 2010)
- Additions:
- New map: fof_robertlee by Morricone/RYell. Features a completely new location in FoF: a steamboat.
- Player movement redone: almost no restrictions, full speed on all directions, no stamina/sprint. Instead that, there's a simpler speed penalty system: player gets cumulative speed penalties when jumping/strafing quick. Movement is way smoother overall. Lack of sprint is compensated with higher base speed for melee weapons.
- Few Dollars More (TDM): a combination of Fistful of Dollars and DM modes, players respawn randomly (more or less) and both teams must capture loot. Sacks amount needed to win game ranges around 4-10, depending the map's size. Usable in any DM map.
- Player manned gatling gun (only in coop maps at the moment)
- New Item: boiler plate: reduces damage in chest zone -40% (back too)
- Hit info: let you see which target was hit and how much damage you inflicted (can be disabled server side: fof_sv_disable_hitinfo)
- Switched to CS:S like ladders
- 'votemode' chat command, let you nominate any available game mode on current map
- team scrambling auto poll: once a team gets a considerable score advantage, players are asked to scramble teams for better team balance.
- New translations: German by Morricone and French by Yester
- Fixes:
- accuracy prediction reworked, 'ghost hits' issue improved (it's ultimately dependent on engine and network issues though)
- tracers and other FX's out of synch when attacking other players (gets worse with lag)
- Player hard collisions added to DM
- Carrying phys items doesn't push you anymore. It may lag a bit but that's normal.
- Fixed idle player incorrectly moved to spectator
- Fixed dynamite ammo not being reset after respawn
- Fixed bug in Boss mode that prevented a team from spawning
- crosshair/ironsights get bugged when switching fast
- resolution/graphics settings change crashbug
- server crash caused by HLTV
- ironsighted Sharps lagging
- Wrong objective icon size obstructs visibility
- There's 1 bot spawning in DM no matter fof_npc_maxamount is set to 0

- Fistful of Dollars: back to best team of two rounds declared winner
- Whiskey cannot be equipped in DM
- Hats don't cost notoriety anymore
- Health regeneration (represented by a beard) increases health up to 110 now
- equipment panel: items can be deselected without messing the list order
- blood impact effects: their size is relative to damage now, there's a special effect for headshot kills
- Weapons:
- Scope added to Sharps
- Weapon speed: knife, axe and fists increased to top speed. Most weapons make you move a tad faster now.
- coachgun cost increased +3 (35), smaller cone of fire, more powerful at close range and less at medium.
- explosive arrows ammo removed, max dynamite items decreased to 1.
- Peacemaker can kill in 1 shot at close distances (headshot)
- Axe inflicts +5 damage. Cost decreased -5 (20)
- Carbine damage drop along distance increased, cost decreased -5 (30)
- Maps:
- Loothill: no rain to improve fps, removed collisions from some physic objects to improve navigation
- Monument Valley: blockade destruction exploit fixed, better spawn protection, notoriety reward due objective accomplishment reduced
- El Paso: default game mode set to TDM, navigation improvements, some optimizations to increase fps, new custom mode 'Ramirez must die' added
- Eliminator(mine cart): issue with respawns fixed
- Tijuana: several enhancements to allow better navigation
- decreased NPC spawn on some coop maps

New in Half Life 2 Mod - Fistful of Frags Client 2.1 Beta (Nov 17, 2008)
- Added:
- Animations completely redone: Smith carbine, Henry rifle, coachgun and Colt Navy (by Flakk)
- added fiery arrow (model by Lordpisang), slower and causing less damage than normal arrow, this new type sets enemies on fire or causes splash damage.
- Bow redone: there´s a single bow which can fire any arrow type, use secondary fire to change ammo type
- cvar to tweak several fire particle effects: fof_firequality. Lowest quality effects are used by default, try with 1 or 2 to increase quality up to your computer´s performance
- Explosive barrel effect (burning pieces go flying + smoke trails)
- New knife throw sound fx
- fof_bountymaxtime: sets the round duration in Bounty game mode
- fof_bowdisable: server cvar to disable the coolest weapon in game
- fof_disablefire_splash: disables splash damage using fiery arrows
- idle players auto kick, can kick idle spectators too (not all spectators, just those afaik). Set it using fof_maxinactive_time cvar
- high latency players auto kick (minimum allowed to kick 150ms, default is 250ms). Set it using fof_maxping_allowed cvar
- automatic team balancing during the game in FoD/FDM

- Servers not being displayed in steam browser
- Crash at the end of round/map

- Sharps: sway decreases over the time more, there´s almost no sway in 7 seconds
- Friendly fire vote: time to decide increased +25%
- Coachgun: spread decreased very slightly
- Pain tolerance: only one item can be equipped, HP added is 33.
- Bounty: alive players cannot read deads
- Explosive arrows are slightly more powerful
- Bow: player speed while using it decreased 10%
- Fists: is easier to hit now
- Maps:
- Peligro: easier to jump at spawn exit, spawn points in FoD fixed
- Monument Valley: ranch building is bigger, "emergency exit" added in top floor
- Tijuana is compatible with Bounty game mode
- Desert: new skybox, soundscapes playing in wrong places fixed
