  • The Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah, a special instance similar to the Aquapolis and the Lost Canals of Uznair, can be accessed after finding and opening treasure coffers obtained from zonureskin treasure maps. Here, players will have the chance to test their luck and obtain priceless treasures.
  • New craftable items have been added to the company workshop.
  • New furnishings have been added.
  • The raid dungeon Eden's Gate (Savage) has been added.

  • The following issues have been addressed.:
  • An issue in the scholar job quest "A Safe Place to Hide" wherein the quest required that Lustrate be used outside of combat. However, due to recent changes, this is no longer possible, meaning that the quest could not be completed.
  • A different action is now required to complete the quest.
  • An issue wherein certain machinist job quests could not be completed after reaching level 76, which upgrades Hot Shot to Air Anchor.
  • A different action is now required to complete the quests.
  • An issue in the FATE "Attack on Highbridge: Denouement" wherein, under certain conditions, more than one Bertram would appear.

  • Also note that there is no weekly restriction on entering Eden's Gate.

  • FINAL FANTASY XIV Hotfixes (Jul. 4, 2019):
  • A temporary fix has been implemented for the issue occurring with the Windows DirectX 11 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV, in which the game did not start correctly under certain conditions.
  • In [System Menu] > [System Configuration] > [Display Settings], we have reverted the frame rate limit back to what it was before Patch 5.0. (The [Maximum (90 fps)] setting has been removed and reverted to [None].)
  • The reversion should not cause any issues. However, if you encounter any problems with the game, such as the collision not working as intended or actions registering incorrectly, we ask that you fill out a bug report, including your system information in as much detail as possible.
  • The following issues were addressed.
  • The astrologian action "Play" could not be queued.
  • During periods of high server congestion, certain quests could not be progressed upon exiting an instanced battle until the player exited the game and logged back in.
  • Under certain conditions, incorrect amounts of EXP were awarded for completing turn-ins for Rowena's House of Splendors.

  • The following issues have been addressed.
  • An issue wherein some buffs and debuffs are not correctly applied to players under certain circumstances.
  • This issue can occur in a variety of situations, and we aim to address it over the coming days. More details can be found here.
  • An issue wherein the Lucian prince's boots were displayed incorrectly.
  • An issue wherein players with entry-level subscriptions were able to log in with a second character. This occurred after using the World Visit System and logging out while in another World.
  • As a result of this fix, players with entry-level subscriptions may now only select the character in their first slot.

New in FINAL FANTASY XIV 4.57 April 24th (Apr 30, 2019)

  • Shortly after the introduction of the World Visit System in Patch 4.57, issues were occurring with several Worlds, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused to our players.
  • These issues were a result of congestion from many World visits occurring during login rushes, which caused high server load on the database server.
  • Now that we have been able to gather information from past World visit system usage, we can somewhat predict the amount of load caused on the servers, which we will monitor, and plan to control congestion as necessary by taking steps such as limiting the number of visits during peak hours.
  • We will continue to monitor the situation and put in our full efforts to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience for our players.

  • Completing the Eureka Hydatos FATE "Baldesion Arsenal: Expedition Support" will now spawn an unstable aetherial node.:
  • The unstable aetherial node will become a stable node after a certain period of time.
  • The following changes have been made in the Eureka Hydatos FATEs "I Don't Want to Believe" and "Baldesion Arsenal: Expedition Support.":
  • Aetherial nodes will now appear several minutes after completing a FATE.
  • The Aetherially Primed effect is now granted only within the FATE area.
  • Knockback effects have been removed from certain actions of the Notorious Monsters Ovni and Tristitia.
  • The following issues have been resolved.:
  • It was possible to discard the Aetheryte Earring accessory.
  • In Rival Wings, completing a match while a player was piloting a machina would increase the auto-attack range of the machina until the piloting player exited the game or was incapacitated.

  • The following issues have been addressed.:
  • In Eureka Hydatos, the notorious monster Provenance Watcher sometimes could not be targeted.
  • Instanced areas for primal duties and raid dungeons would not open under certain conditions, resulting in the duty finder server becoming heavily congested.
  • Action icons and other features were not displayed on iMac Pro platforms using specific graphic cards. (Mac version only)

  • During the quest “Makin' Bacon (Bread)”, the Company Belle’s dialogue would no longer reference other quests.
  • In the quest “What is it Good For,” J'moldva’s dialogue upon quest completion was incorrect.

  • In Doman Mahjong, extraneous letters would be displayed in the message after aborting a hand.
  • Using the abbreviated subcommand for text command /bluespellbook would cause the client to crash.
  • The chat log would incorrectly display the World name for the Siren World.
  • Using the server backup feature to save new data when all ten saved data slots were full would overwrite the newest slot rather than the oldest. (PlayStation®4 version only)
  • Controller vibration was disabled under certain conditions. (PlayStation®4 version only)
  • In the Mount Guide and Minion Guide, selecting the 26th result with a gamepad or controller in search results yielding more than 26 results would crash the client.
  • The item text for the Flute of the Plume item was incorrect.
  • In the description for the blue mage action Bad Breath, the effect rates for damage reduction dealt, Heavy, and Slow were not indicated.
  • In the Blue Magic Spellbook, the description of certain abilities were incorrect.
  • In the Duty List, the name of the main scenario quest “The Will of the Moon” was displayed in Japanese.

  • The amount of elemental experience points earned upon completing Eureka-related challenge log objectives has been increased.
  • Players will now receive the power of the Echo in Omega: Sigmascape (Savage).
  • The Echo will take effect upon entering Omega: Sigmascape (Savage), increasing players' maximum HP, damage dealt, and healing potency by 10%.
  • Unlike other instances, the strength of the Echo will not increase in the event all party members are incapacitated.
  • The rate at which players accumulate vitiated aether in Eureka Pagos has been increased.
  • This change applies to both regular enemies and notorious monsters.

  • The maximum number of unopened treasure coffers that can be available at any given time in the Diadem has been increased from eight to sixteen.
  • If there are sixteen unopened treasure coffers on the field and a seventeenth treasure coffer is discovered, one of the sixteen pre-existing coffers will be replaced. However, if the coffer that is replaced has already been opened, the items it contained will automatically be distributed among party members when it vanishes.

  • System:
  • A new idling camera feature has been added for players to take pictures of their characters and scenery from various angles.
  • The idling camera works as a fixed-point camera which cycles randomly through the vantage points of other characters and NPCs in the vicinity of the player character.
  • How to Use the Idling Camera
  • To turn on the idling camera, use the keybind or text command '/idlingcamera' or '/icam.' To cancel, press the A or X button, or the escape key.
  • Depth of field will be enabled when using the idling camera feature.
  • A new group pose feature has been added that allows player characters to synchronize a pose with their party members.
  • When doing a group pose, all parties involved (player character, party members, alliance members, chocobos, minions) will face the camera and repeat the last general or expression emote used.
  • Flying Mounts:
  • By attuning to the aether turbulences found inside The Diadem, players can use their mounts to fly. Please note that your attunement to these currents will be lost upon leaving The Diadem, and you must attune to them again should you return.
  • Enemies:
  • The icon and number next to enemy names is an indication of their relative strength, with higher numbers indicating more powerful enemies. Among them are exceptionally powerful enemies known as notorious monsters, which are indicated by a unique icon.
  • Field Objects:
  • As you explore The Diadem, you may encounter constructs with various effects. Proper use of these constructs is essential to a successful mission.
