New in Dofus Online Client 2.29.1 (Jul 10, 2015)

  • Idols:
  • The experience gains from some monsters were abnormally high when idols were used, this issue is fixed. Here is a list of the monsters in question: Peki Peki, Puppet Master, Krtek, and Jorbak.
  • The experience gain preview on a group of monsters after logging off and back on after one or several idols selected is fixed.
  • The experience and loot bonuses given by the idols are correctly impacted on by the level difference between the highest character level in the group and the average level of the monsters fought. The bonuses are higher if the group of monsters has an average level higher than that of the highest level character in the fight. The bonuses are lower if the group of monsters has an average level lower than that of the highest level character in the fight. This mechanic is necessary in order to give value to risk-taking and difficulty by taking on high-level monsters and reduce the bonuses given by the idols in fights where monsters are much too weak for the effects of the idols to be really suffered by the characters.
  • The Ultram Idol works correctly: it used to give 1 MP to any character who would start their turn on the glyph instead of giving the invulnerable state to the enemies.
  • The experience gain preview on some monsters is fixed when idols are used (for instance, the preview wasn't computed correctly for the Tynrils monsters).
  • The loot probabilities in the Bestiary take correctly into account the increase or decrease due to the idols bonus when the monster's level is different from the character's. The probabilities calculation takes into account the presence of the character in a group (as the bonuses given by the idols are dependent upon the highest character level in the group).
  • A line break is added between the experience bonuses and the loot bonuses in the in-fight idols information bubble.
  • Professions:
  • The validation of quest objectives and Achievements that implies the crafting of items works correctly after logging back in.
  • The Waffle item gives back health points.
  • Artificial Intelligence:
  • The way effects that trigger damages on other targets and the dealt damage multipliers are handled is improved. This modification should limit the situations in which some monsters would attack their allies to give them bonuses that do not compensate the HP loss enough.
  • Items:
  • The equipping restriction for the Bearman's Staff is removed.
  • The bonuses for the Green Piwi Amulet are corrected (it used to give an Earth damage bonus instead of an Air damage bonus).
  • Quests:
  • Characters that had started the "The Death of Rimaraf" quest before the 2.29 update and that were stuck during the talk with the Danathor NPC can now continue the quest by talking to him again.

  • Treasure Hunt:
  • The markers for a treasure hunt are correctly removed from the Map when the hunt is over.
  • Miscellaneous:
  • Interacting with one's class statue in Astrub correctly displays a contextual menu allowing one to choose between a teleportation to the class temple or a teleportation to Incarnam.
  • In Incarnam, it no longer necessary to exit the current map and then come back to it to see resources reappear.
  • The icons for the damage gain effects displayed on the Synchro match the spells that have activated said effect.
  • In the markets, if the interface is opened in buying mode before switching to selling mode and switching back to buying mode, the list of items on sale is correctly displayed.

  • Class Revamp - Feca:
  • For a long time, the Feca class has suffered from a rather rigid style of gameplay. Too many of their spells have had nearly identical effects. In this update, the Feca class has been completely redesigned to energize and streamline their playing style while retaining the core concepts of their gameplay: Protection (with armors) and zone control (using glyphs). Spells that were too similar were merged (like the elemental armor spells) or have been given different capabilities (like Immunity and Spell Rebound). And the offensive/defensive potential of the class has been increased thanks to their new stat theft effects. Learn even more about this class overhaul on the Devblog!

New in Dofus Online Client 2.19 (Mar 26, 2014)

  • In the 2.19 update, you'll discover a new major game system: treasure hunting.
  • We'd like to offer you a new game mechanic which will depend on your ability to ferret out little clues hidden around the World of Twelve. You'll explore, search, scrutinize and maybe, just maybe, become a rich and famous treasure hunter.
  • Objectives:
  • Here are our main objectives for this new system:
  • Offer missions that are, in part, randomly generated by the server to provide more replayability (the treasures aren't in fixed spots).
  • The player will need to think hard and look for little graphic details in their environment to find and make sense of clues.
  • Treasure hunting should be able to be a separate activity in its own right. Players should be able to make it their principal activity if they wish to do so, and should be able to evolve their characters using the treasure hunting system (through XP and monetary rewards).
  • Players will be able to choose the difficulty of the final battle that they'll have to complete to get their treasure.
  • The system should not be competitive: each person can take their time to find the treasures without having to worry that their treasure will be found by someone else.

  • New Sidekick: the Krosmoglob:

New in Dofus Online Client 2.17 (Dec 10, 2013)

  • Emerald Dofus quest:
  • A new quest allows the player to obtain the Emerald Dofus: Nowa gave you his Dofawa? You followed the instructions of Ronald the Wise Lenald? You've combed the Evil Forest looking for Dark Vlad? Now it's time to get down to business... and to seek out the Emerald Dofus! Ronald will sent you to meet Meriana, a powerful magician. It is there, at the end of the swamps, that your fate will be decided.
  • The Emerald Dofus bonus is increased retroactively to +200 vitality.
  • The Emerald Dofus is now linked for 4 months (non-retroactively: Dofus obtained before the update will not be linked).
  • Sidekicks:
  • A new Sidekick system allows you to control an additional character in battle. Sidekicks are less powerful than actual characters, they are meant to vary battles and bring an added help to players encountering difficulties to complete or form a team.
  • The Sidekick takes the place of another character in battle (for instance, if 4 players each use 1 Sidekick, the group has a size of 8 and cannot accept any more character).
  • The Sidekick does not earn any loot at the end of a fight, but has a Prospection score of 100 (which thus allows them to help unlock some caps).
  • A Sidekick's power automatically adapts to its owner's level (there is no need to level them up).
  • Each character can only use one Sidekick during a given battle.
  • Sidekicks are regarded as additional characters by the Challenges and Achievements systems.
  • Soul stones take the Sidekicks into consideration when determining the number of loot (for instance, 4 characters and 4 sidekicks in a fight will obtain a soul stone with 8 loot).
  • A Sidekick's position can be modified during the battle preparation phase.
  • Sidekicks do not grant group-based experience bonuses.
  • Sidekicks available in this update all have the same power (but different roles and abilities).
  • Sidekicks can only be used in fights against monsters or challenges and can't be used in fights where the number of participants is restricted (for instance, fights against Dopples).
  • Sidekicks are linked for two months after obtaining them and can then be traded or sold via merchants.
  • In the Grimoire, a dedicated interface has been added listing the different sidekicks. This interface also allows you to equip them, to unequip them, and to consult their history, characteristics, and spells.
  • The " Knight of Astrub " Sidekick is obtained via an Achievement when 500 Achievement points are reached. This is retroactive for all characters who have already earned that many Achievement points.
  • The "Krobax" and " Trank" Sidekicks are obtained via an Achievement when 1000 Achievement points are reached. This is retroactive for all characters who have already earned that many Achievement points.
  • A temporary Sidekick (usable for 20 fights) is available each week in front of the Vigilantes base at (4,4). This Sidekick is different each week (but all characters on the server get the same one). This test system allows players to discover the different Sidekicks and gives all characters a chance for some occassional extra help.
  • Dusky Dimension:
  • A new area including new monsters and a new Dungeon (Shadow's Pyramid) is available in-game.
  • The content of this area is aimed at characters level 190 and up.
  • Two new sets can be crafted using the resources in this area.
  • New Achievements are added for the Dungeon, the area, and its associated monsters.
  • Vigilantes base:
  • The Vigilantes base is available in-game, and allows access to new repeatable quests allowing you to hunt down villains from their Wanted Posters, all the while protecting new recruits!
  • An ornament and a title can be obtained as a reward.
  • Two new sets related to Purple Arrow (level 110) and Veg Antilleze (level 40) can be crafted using a resource that can be found in the Vigilantes' base.
  • Achievements related to the content in the Vigilantes' base are added.
  • If you've already assisted Captain Amakna in his fight against Evil, a new challenge is waiting for you: neutralizing Shadow and his army of Obscuranti! Go to the Krosmoz Vigilantes' base and talk to Lumino to learn more about it.
  • Possible recipes calculator:
  • A new interface called "Possible recipes" is available in all inventory interfaces (bank, chest, mount inventory and character inventory). It lists all recipes that can be created using the ingredients in the inventory.
  • When this interface is used from an inventory that is not the character's personal “sack” (bank, chest, mount inventory), it also takes into account the character's inventory and allows you to transfer ingredients from each recipe to the character's inventory.
  • Possible recipes can be sorted out and filtered by profession, by experience reward for the associated profession, and a tolerance for missing ingredients can be configured.
  • Pushback damage:
  • The formula used for calculating the pushback damages is modified in order to make pushback damages less powerful for spells with limited push (usually used at a great frequency) and just as powerful for spells with longer push (usually with significant constraints or cooldowns).
  • Pushback damage is no longer random.
  • The character's level still influences the pushback damage he deals.
  • The impact of the pushback damage bonus and the pushback damage resistance bonus (granted by some spells or equipment) is now dependent upon the number of cells pushed. If the character was pushed one cell, 25% of the pushback damage (and pushback damage resistance) bonus is taken into account. If the character was pushed two cells, 50% of the pushback damage (and pushback damage resistance) bonus is taken into account. If the character was pushed three cells, 75% of the pushback damage (and pushback damage resistance) bonus is taken into account. If the character was pushed four cells, 100% of the pushback damage (and pushback damage resistance) bonus is taken into account. If the character was pushed five cells, 125% of the damage bonus is taken into account and so forth.
  • If a target is pushed onto another target, pushback damages dealt to the second target are recalculated, taking into account its pushback damage resistance and the pushback damage of the original attacker, but by keeping the same number of pushed cells as the first target. The whole of it is then divided by 2.
  • Old formula: (1d8+5*[Attacker Level]/50)*[Distance remaining to be pushed] + [Attacker’s pushback damage - targets pushback damage resistance] /2^[number of intermetidate targets])
  • New formula: ([Attacker level]/2 + [Attacker's pushback damages - target's pushback damage resistance] + 32) * [Push range left]/(4*(2^[Number of intermediary targets]))
  • Some pushback spells who were dealing to much pushback damage have been reworked (see the section about classes).
  • Trophy bonuses that increase pushback damage are decreased (see the section about Trophies).
  • Guild, alliances and conquest villages:
  • Monsters who used to be exclusive to some conquest villages are now available in alternate areas accessible to all characters, whatever their guild or alliance:
  • Dopple Mine: a new mine is available at the north of the entrance to Dopple village. Dopples, minerals, and alchemy resources are available in this area.
  • Canopy village: monsters of the Zoth breed are added in this area and problems with blocking and line of sight are fixed.
  • Abandoned galleries: a new mine is added at the entrance of the conquest village, it contains Wabbits previously exclusive to the conquest village as well as new mineral sites.
  • The alliance tag is correctly updated when a character joins an alliance and the characters' names permanent display is active.
  • Several maps with specific criterion (maps only available via some ongoing quests, for instance) are now longer counted during " King of the hill " (KOH) phases.
  • The coats of arms and alliance names displayed next to the areas' names are correctly updated when they are modified by the alliance.
  • In the spectator interface, AvA fights are represented by specific icons.
  • In a character's information bubble, the guild's coat of arms icon is displayed correctly when it is the same as the one used in their alliance's coat of arms.
  • In the guild creation and modification interface, it is now possible to use the Tab key to navigate between the name and tag fields.
  • In the alliance interface, the time gauge displaying the time before a Perceptor or prism fight starts is now the right size, even after several successive fights.
  • In the alliance interface, in the "Conquest" tab, the prism list is correctly displayed when teleporting to another area (the arrival area prism is no longer abnormally added to the list of alliance-controlled areas).
  • In the utilization conditions for the objects Teleportation module or Alliance prism involving the related alliance rights are correctly displayed.
  • During KOH phases, maps including subterranean paddocks are no longer taken into account.
  • A character with an activated AvA module inside a subterranean paddock is no longer disconnected when the area becomes vulnerable.
  • Nuggets available as additional loot on a group of monsters are longer lost when a fight against that group is lost, and another group of monsters will be used to replace it in-between.
  • Wanted posters:
  • Monsters used for wanted posters now reappear without having to wait for a group to be defeated: as soon as they are available, they reappear in a group of monsters that will take the place of an already existing group.
  • Wanted poster monsters automatically reappear if they are defeated without being captured (if the associated quest is not ongoing, they are not added as followers and are therefore viewed as not captured).
  • Wanted poster monsters are systematically viewed as group leaders and are always visible on the map without having to consult the entire composition of the group of monsters.
  • Wanted poster monsters now all have a set level.
  • Wanted poster monsters' characteristics and spells are rebalanced.
  • The respawning times for Akornaddikt The Squirrel and Stellia Blutzell is now again the same as for all other wanted poster monsters.
  • Marzwel The Gobelin has moved to Pandala Forest, Rok Gnorok to the Aerdala Border and Zatoishwan to the Feudala Border. Right after the update, it is possible that they will still be located in their old sub-areas. They will then stay there until they are defeated.
  • Wanted poster quests associated with monsters Veg Men, Dumsh, Poison Amy and Scampyhorse have been moved from the Amakna militia to the Vigilantes base.
  • The Wanted poster quest associated with the monster Mastigator is moved from the prison of Astrub to the Amakna militia.
  • Archmonsters:
  • Archmonsters and Wanted Posters monsters now respawn after a partially random duration (the durration changes after each respawn, spanning from 50% to 150% of the current respawn time). We've made this modification in order to prevent players having captured a Wanted Poster or Archmonster to precisely determine when they'd be able to capture them again. This modification does not reduce the spawn frequency of Archmonsters or Wanted Posters.
  • Kwismas Island:
  • A new level 199 set associated with Father Whupper can be crafted.
  • Aggressions are now forbidden on Kwismas Island.
  • Father Whupper's invocations are reworked (the weakest are now more powerful and those that were too powerful are weaker).
  • Interfaces:
  • The minimum delay between two advanced transfers is now dependent upon the number of traded items (advanced transfers between two inventories including less than ten different items are no longer subjected to the minimum delay between two transfers).
  • Whenever a scrolling menu is opened by keeping the left mouse button pressed and the button is released while going over one of the menu's options, this option is now viewed as selected (before, the scrolling menu was abnormally closed).
  • A DOFUS client maximized upon closing will now be maximized upon its next launch (Windows only).
  • Using the "Enter" key to validate statuses in the status choice interface works correctly (using it no longer prompts graphical bugs).
  • Clicking the wheel button on a modification no longer makes the buttons displayed in already opened notifications disappear.
  • The number of spots used in banks is now formatted with separators for the thousands.
  • In the spell book, a selected spell can no longer abnormally appear as unavailable after using the interface's scroll bar until the spell is no longer visible.

  • World map:
  • The places for obtaining the common spells (Lightning Strike, Cawwot, etc) are now displayed on the world map.
  • A button is added to display the grid on the reduced map interface.
  • The displaying of Phoenixes on the mini-map is correctly refreshed when you go to ghost mode a second time while still having one or several Phoenix indicators on the mini-map.
  • Frigost quests objectives are no longer displayed on the Frigost 3 map when they are geolocated from a Frigost 3 area and are supposed to point to an area located outside of Frigost 3.
  • Character creation:
  • The character creation interface is improved, whenever random colors are generated, a new interface opens up to display 6 different color propositions in order to ease the selection of a color ensemble.
  • The last 600 color ensembles proposed are memorized for the session and it is possible to navigate between all the generated propositions (in order, for example, to go back to a more interesting proposition).
  • Randomly generated color ensembles are now more relevant, colors are better assorted and proposed characters are visually more coherent and easier on the eyes.
  • The probability for a critical hit is decreased by 42% after each update for all characters who (despite the addition of this new functionality) still insist on mixing purple, pink, and fuchsia.
  • Shortcuts:
  • In the item shortcut tab, double-clicking on an equipped item now unequips it.
  • The current spell shortcuts tab page is now independently saved for each character. In battle, during a Boombot's or sidekick's turn, page 1 is automatically displayed.
  • Almanax:
  • In the Almanax interface, an option is added to allow the deactivation of daily reminder notifications associated with the Meridians.
  • Fights:
  • Move previsualization is now updated as soon as a target is dead when starting to prepare a move while a target's death animation is playing. This modification speeds up fights for players using shortcuts and playing fast.
  • Information bubbles for fighters' HP are automatically displayed when they are in the area of effect of the spell being used. This modifications allows players to quickly consult the HP of the targets who are about to be targeted by an attack or a spell with an area of effect and to efficiently follow the evolution of their HP without having to hover over each target.
  • A new battle option permanent displays the information bubbles of targets that have been hit by spells or attacks during the turn. This option allows one to more efficiently follow the condition of targets already attacked without having to hover over them during the ongoing turn. This option is deactivated by default.

  • Associated recipes
  • Insert characteristics
  • Insert recipe
  • Items theoretical effects are now displayed when hovering over items in the crafting, profession, and recipe interfaces.
  • Breeding and mounts:
  • The size of paddocks is increased from 150 to 250 mounts at the maximum.

  • 3 new sets and 2 new independent items
  • New resource collection sites
  • Alliances and guilds:
  • A devblog article dedicated to the changes brought to the Alliance system is available here: Click here
  • A new reward system has been added: over time, prisms will generate nuggets that will only be obtainable by winning a KotH phase (Kind of the Hill). The quantity of nuggets generated by a prism will be directly dependant on the area level in which the prism is located.
  • These nuggets will be distributed as additional loot on the monsters of the area, and only the members of the alliance controlling the said area will be able to drop them.
  • These nuggets can be exchanged, at the Alliance Temple, for emotes and exclusive petsmounts.
  • Characters with prism placing rights now have the possibility to put their prisms in a “sabotaged” state. This state is the equivalent to the “weakened” state but does not require an actual prism fight, simply rendering the prism vulnerable at a time predetermined by its the defenders, which would allow for a KotH phase to take place. This possibility allows Alliances to have a simplified access to the nuggets generated by their own prisms, whilst exposing themselves to a KotH phase.
  • The Alliance tag is displayed after a character’s name when the “show player names” option is activated.
  • During a prism attack where there are no free spots left on the defense’s side, it is possible to replace a defender, if the replacing character is of a higher level than that of the character it wished to replace.

  • The conquest icons displayed above characters are displayed properly after zooming.
  • Filters of forbidden words for guild names are also applied to alliance names and tags.
  • es filtres de mots interdits sur les noms de guildes sont appliqués sur les noms et tags d’alliances.
  • An informative message is sent when either the PvP or AvA mode is disabled by the activation of the other mode.
  • Kolossium:
  • The kolossoken bonus for daily victories is removed, but the kolossoken reward per victory is multiplied by 3. This change does not impact players that are satisfied with one victory per gaming day, but considerably increases the kolossoken gain for players with several victories in the same day. This modification allows players to organize their time more freely, with no particular incentive to participate in kolossium fights on a daily basis.
  • The 12 maps from the 2013 Goultarminator event are added to the Kolossium. The majority of the existing maps have been balanced (starting positions and some obstacles have been modified).

  • Item shortcuts in the shortcuts tab can be moved properly outside of combat when the inventory is closed.
  • On spell descriptions, the display of the probability of triggering certain effects has been improved (hidden effects are properly taken into account for the probability of triggering calculation).
  • Smilies and custom sets now have a tooltip when placed in the shortcut tab.
  • Tooltips for emote shortcuts present in the shortcut tab include the shortcut key and not the command for the chat interface.
