CrossCode Changelog

What's new in CrossCode 0.9.8

Dec 15, 2017
  • New Localizations:
  • After several month of collaboration with our new partners we’re happy to announce that CrossCode now supports two more languages!
  • First: a Japanese localization by Dangen Entertainment!
  • It’s like one of your Japanese JRPGs!
  • Which means we can’t read it! Gotta wait for those fansubs. :/
  • Second: a Korean localization by Mayflower Entertainment!
  • Still can’t read this!
  • We really hope the translations are good!
  • You can select the new languages within the options. Remember to restart the game!
  • All the Combat Arts:
  • It’s finally done! This version comes with all level 3 combat arts fully implemented!
  • In order to learn those arts you’ll have to collect the Star Shade at the end of the Jungle dungeon. Once learned you’ll need to spend 6 SP in order to use them.
  • The good news is: We’ll upgrade your MAX SP to 12 (which means 3 SP on battle start) once you collect the Star Shade! So gathering the necessary SP should be somewhat quicker.
  • Small Usability Improvements:
  • We made several small improvements for menus and interface.
  • Quest marking has changed. You can now mark multiple quests inside the menu and you can only switch between marked quest on the field.
  • We properly integrated a Circuit Reset option! You can visit a terminal in Rookie Harbor that allows you to reset individual Circuit trees. However, resetting isn’t as cheap anymore: you’ll need to use a Circuit Override item that you will get on several occasions during the plot. We might also add a trading option later on.
  • To reskill yourself even faster you also now have the option to learn several skills in one go!
  • There are also several small QoL improvements like grayed trading items in the preview if you can’t trade them yet, and number of collected chests visible on the world map.
  • A few more quests:
  • This version comes with a few more quests as well! Two of them are found in Rookie Harbor and another one in Gaia’s Garden!
  • There’s even a little boss fight included!
  • More Stuff in the Background:
  • Just like the last release, this one is again rather small. We’re still working on more content in the background that will be released with version 1.0!
  • So once again… Sorry for the small update but we hope that the wait will be worth it once version 1.0 will be out!

New in CrossCode 0.9.7 (Oct 20, 2017)

  • New Area: Sapphire Ridge:
  • With Sapphire Ridge we now added the final outdoor area of CrossCode!
  • It’s a medium sized area, comparable to Autumn’s Fall, but stuffed with lots of caves and crazy environment puzzles!
  • You will also find a total of 4 new enemies, ready to be fought! Including new bugs. Be warned, Emilie.
  • Sapphire Ridge also includes the Cave Inn – it’s not a full fledged town or village, but still a fairly large building.
  • Inside you’ll find a lot of new offers for equipment and more!
  • Of course, Sapphire Ridge still isn’t entirely finished. We still plan to tweak things and add more quests and NPCs to the area in future versions. But otherwise it’s ready for exploration!
  • Trophies:
  • With this version we finally release Trophies, which are essentially achievements! You find a list of all the trophies within the Synopsis menu.
  • You get Trophies for reaching certain points in the game, defeating certain enemies, mastering certain feats and more! Currently there are a total of 171 trophies that can be collected… at least partly!
  • Note: Trophies are currently not connected to Steam Achievements, but we plan to do so in the future (at least for some trophies). Once it’s done, your trophies will automatically synchronize with Steam achievements. So getting the Trophies now means you’ll get the Steam Achievement in the future!
  • Second Note: Some of the Trophies might still be buggy and might not correctly synchronize with old saves. Sometimes, doing certain things in the game might trigger an evaluation so you’ll get the trophies at that point. Otherwise, you can report those issues and we’ll see how we can fix it.
  • More Quests:
  • As always, there are more quests! This time we have 3 new quests for you that you can find in Rookie Harbor and Ba’kii Kum. Each of them features unique gameplay mechanics or even boss fights! So make sure to check them out!
  • Here some impressions:
  • A very unique quest featuring a floating “ball” in Autumn’s Fall!
  • Fighting Turrets. Again. This time on the ocean.
  • A boss fight featuring the most popular type of enemies: Sharksters.
  • Upgraded Portraits:
  • With this version we finally got around upgrading a lot of the portraits from older versions, including Captain Jet, that Blue Avatar, and Satoshi:
  • Additionally, we improved all the dark shaded portraits of generic NPCs, adding more details and variations to more closely match the NPC:
  • We still plan to add more variations in the future.
  • More Stuff:
  • This update features a couple more smaller changes:
  • The info/nerd hub in Rookie Harbor has been overhauled and features new NPCs to explain all the things to you!
  • Lots of sound improvements especially for enemies. Try fighting the Faj’ro Temple boss again!
  • Improved German Translation extended – all main story dialogues until Temple Mine have been overhauled!
  • You can finally enter the Pub in Rookie Harbor right next to the teleporter at the sea.
  • You can now adjust some new graphic settings in the video options section. Those include toggling particle effects, weather and lighting.
  • More map pins variants have been added for arrows. Also the padding between pins has been decreased.
  • Various map adjustments to Autumn’s Rise

New in CrossCode 0.9.5-5 Hotfix (Jul 12, 2017)

  • The newest version should fix another batch of smaller issues, including:
  • Weird AI problems with Apollo just standing around doing nothing.
  • A certain boss was not supposed to be defeatable, but some of you still managed to defeat him, resulting in breaking the game. You monsters.
  • A huge amount of spelling issues fixed, as we finally went through months worth of reports by the community! Thanks everyone for the great help!
  • But that’s not all! We also worked on a few new additions that also made it into this hotfix release:
  • There is a new Bulletin Board accessible via the Quest Hub of each town, listing most available quests of the area!
  • Item Consumables now show (more or less) individual graphics on consumption!
  • Activating circuit skills now shows a fancy effect!
  • We added a proper label + image for Chapter 6 which is after Faj’ro Temple.
  • The German translation for the whole beginning of the Cargo ship has been improved! We’ll keep working on the German translation, trying to catch up with the English text and improving the quality along the way.
  • Certain ricochet puzzles have been extended with ball-destroying entities, giving a clear hint on which path the balls are not supposed to fly.

New in CrossCode 0.9.5 (Jul 3, 2017)

  • Finally More Story:
  • This is the big one. The story continues in Ba’kii Kum. C’tron will be properly introduced and you get to spend more time with the First Scholar guild. In case you already continued playing you have the option to get set back to the previous end of the story. We strongly encourage you to do so since the game will most definitely break otherwise! But don’t worry you can keep all the loot you obtained.
  • This story will also take you into an area some of you might already know…
  • Extending Autumn’s Fall:
  • Autumn’s Fall got a bit bigger! The area felt a bit small at times and since we wanted story to happen in the area we decided to add a few maps all neatly tight together with a quest that is required in order to progress.
  • Prepare for a real mischief maker:
  • Also for the first time ever, Rookie Harbor North opens up! The map is still Work-in-Progress but we already have a lot of happy people strolling about.
  • Equipment Level:
  • We often had the feedback that players felt under-powered, even when the enemy level matched the player level. Usually the reason for this was that players used equipment that was outdated relative to the foes they were facing. Equipment plays a huge role in your stats. Much more than skills or level-ups. It was our mistake to not properly communicate the importance of equipment enough. Now with showing a level for each equipment piece we feel it’s much easier to notice when it’s time to upgrade!
  • So as you can see, each piece of equipment now shows you which level it is best used at. No worries: the level is only a recommendation, not a requirement you can still wear whatever gear you can get your hands on! Additionally we added a small UI in the equipment menu that shows both the player- and average equipment level. Your equipment level should always be above or equal to the player level. Colors indicate how well the levels are aligned. Here’s a small clip showing how it looks in action
  • And lastly we made small change to how the colors are displayed when checking out an enemy via your Seeker Senses. Instead of just comparing your level against the enemy level it now also includes the average equipment level. This means that when fighting an enemy at the same level you might still get a red color indicating that this enemy is stronger than you are.
  • We hope that these changes will help players in the future. It could be said that this feature was implemented thanks to the community, so thanks everyone for the feedback!
  • MORE QUESTS:
  • What? You thought we would release a major update without new quests? As always we tried to come up with interesting ideas as well as stories. New Quests can be found in Ba’kii Kum, Basin Keep (Remember the Galaxy Spiral Drill Trader? Visit him again. However his quest is not finished right now.), Bergen and Rookie Harbor.
  • But this time we also removed quests! Namely those tedious and boring fetch-quests you could get at the Rookie Harbor Questhub. Instead the Faction-Indroduction-NPC and a new quest NPC will be in front of the desk. Hopefully this gives a better first impression of quests!
  • Finally, you might notice that we added new UIs for quests too. Like a nice countdown or a dedicated score UI for quests including mini games.
  • Controls:
  • A common request we had ever since we released the game was the people would like to have a dedicated Melee- and Guard-Button. Well, guess what? We finally implemented it! Mouse & Keyboard users can setup the button inside the bindings section of the options menu. Gamepad users can use X/Square for a melee attack and B/Circle for guarding.
  • We added some additional options to disable the melee/guard actions for the previous input methods in case you want to go all out on the new setting.
  • New Music:
  • Of course this update also includes a few new themes composed by Intero himself. You listen to them on his Twitter account through these links
  • Lea’s Theme
  • Battle Theme
  • Casual Theme
  • Sorrow Theme
  • Other Stuff:
  • You can now finally see what each buff item does! Just hover over an item, press H/Start to open the help screen and select the icon in the bottom left corner. As you can see, you will get a nice overview over what each icon means. Plus, the buff icons now look much better. Thanks T-Free!
  • Also you can now place Pins on your map, choosing from a number of symbols! That should help to keep track on things you find around the area.
  • We also spend a lot of time balancing equipment and enemies again. Spoilers: HP Regen got a nerf! It was just way too powerful! But on the plus side, enemies now have new damage ceilings preventing them from doing too much damage to the player at once! (Looking at you Mr. Snowman.) Overall equipment has also been buffed. Especially the trader gear which sometimes felt weaker compared to the base equipment you could buy.
  • This new language selection UI has also been added to make it easier to add more languages later on. As you can see you get a nice flag icon now! Doesn’t it look slick?
  • More changes can be found in the changelog inside the game as usual.
  • Contest: Win the PvP Fight:
  • Another Boss contest? Sure why not! In fact, version 0.9.5 comes with several new boss fights!
  • What we want you to record is the PvP Battle that you will have in front of Faj’ro Temple!
  • Show us how you win the PvP battle in front of Faj’ro Temple!
  • Just create a public video (Youtube, Twitch, doesn’t matter) and send us a link to [email protected].
  • You can add your live reaction or leave it out, whatever you prefer!
  • Among all people who send us a video, we’ll draw the following prize:
  • You get your personal NPC guest role somewhere in CrossWorlds – you decide the location! You can be an Avatar, a regular citizen or maybe something else? We’ll work together to figure out the details!
  • Deadline: Saturday, July 8, 23:59 PST

New in CrossCode 0.9.0 13.03.2017 Hotfix (Mar 14, 2017)

  • All the broken tutorials should work correctly again
  • The Bluerays in Grand Krys’kajo should not fall out of bounds anymore… hopefully
  • No more crashes when using Shock Combat Arts on certain targets
  • Physics won’t do strange things anymore around stairs for players with more than 60 fps
  • Disabled “GPU Blacklisting” which might improve performance for some players
  • Balanced Wowturbines to make the fight more doable
  • Several menu fixes and improvements

New in CrossCode 0.8.5 (Dec 14, 2016)

  • Final part of Gaia’s Garden unlocked:
  • South-East of Gaia’s Garden lies a small Shad settlement which is now accessible for exploring. However, you might find yourself to be an unwanted guest. What could have happened here? Note: This region will get more Story through optional quest in later updates.
  • So’Najiz Temple aka The Wave Temple:
  • West of the Rite of Passage inside Gaia’s Garden you can now enter the So’Najiz Temple which will not only give you access to the Shock Element but also the final key to open all those golden chests! Oh did we mention this is an underwater temple? Really the best place for an avatar to be, don’t you think so too?
  • Shock Element:
  • The final element is finally here. While Wave was an element designed to help you with healing buffs or pushing away foes, this one is all about quick attacks and fast movements.
  • Basin Keep Extension:
  • Both the west and east maps of Basin Keep are now accessible. While the west area is home to many high-society residents, the east one is a problematic region for the city in many ways. Both of these maps are already quite far ahead and we wanted people to see them but they will get more NPCs and quests too. You might already find some chests you can’t access right now. Look out for a special quest in the eastern part in later updates!
  • Other Stuff:
  • Like always we made a lot of smaller adjustments or additions. Here’s a quick list of most new things
  • All chests that required keys now have special graphics making them stick out more. The same is true for chests that contain keys found inside dungeons.
  • We reworked positional sounds! No more distant splash sounds. We also added a bunch of environmental sounds like waterfalls for instance.
  • Find new Quests in Ba’kii Kum!
  • The trade menu now always shows the stats for a piece of equipment on the left side at all times.
  • Extended German Translation!
  • New Background Music for So’Najiz AND Zir’Vitar Temple!

New in CrossCode 0.8.3 (Oct 31, 2016)

  • Botanics Menu:
  • Another community requested feature is now available making it possible for you to track what plants drop what item and where you can find them. However it’s not that simple. A new NPC emerged in Autumn’s Rise which requires your help to analyze the Flora of CrossWorlds. Hit plants and collect drops. Each drop increases your progress for each plant. Can you find them all?
  • Infested Jungle:
  • The infested jungle region of Gaia’s Garden is now unlocked and can be accessed in the north-eastern part of the area. Make sure to be ready as the region is full of narrow passages and dangerous foes.
  • Gaia’s Garden and Basin Keep now also have their own music!
  • A Scary Surprise:
  • In Basin Keep a strange business man seems to be in dire need of your help. Make sure to pay him a visit!
  • Other than that we fixed a lot of smaller issues and balanced skills and items. You can get the full picture by checking out the changelog in-game.

New in CrossCode 0.8.2 (Oct 10, 2016)

  • Most golden chests in the jungle and the new dungeon have been replaced with others you can actually open!
  • Emilie now understands how to fight Jungle enemies properly.
  • The enemies in Autumn’s Fall have some expanded behaviour to set them apart from their earlier variants!
  • No more bugs with the new parkour quest (hopefully).
  • No more crashes with the guard counter on Apollo or inside the goat cave (hopefully).
  • Modifications to the “Challenge of Aspiration” and “Heating the Hermit” quests to preserve your sanity!
  • Fixed that… awkward bug during the landmark tutorial

New in CrossCode 0.8.1 (Oct 3, 2016)

  • No more crashes when attacking ectovolts with icicles.
  • A few improvements and general balancing of puzzles in Zir’vitar Temple.
  • No more pushing down immobile enemies with Guarding Gale!

New in CrossCode 0.7 (Jun 21, 2016)

  • New Portraits and Character Graphics:
  • As previously announced we plan to rework all the portraits of the game for a new polished style. With 0.7 we introduce the first wave of new portraits for the majority of characters including Lea, Shizuka, Sergey, Carla, Emilie and Schneider.
  • Extended Story:
  • The story was extended quite a bit by about 1 1/2 chapters. The plot now includes the visit of the Temple Mine and end at your arrival at Ba’kii Kum. Along the way there will be several small excursions as you’ll meet new players… and a guild!
  • Trader Book:
  • Many of you requested a feature to track all the traders in the game. We listened and with 0.7 we finally introduce: The Trader Book.
  • The Trader Book will list all the traders you meet on your adventure, sorted by location. You’ll be able to see all the items they offer as well as all the items you need for the exchange.
  • More Quests:
  • Version 0.7.0 comes with a couple new quests as well. One of them is connected to the story, others are optional. Make sure to visit all the faction buildings! Also these are not just your generic kill and fetch quests.
  • The full changelog can be found here: http://www.radicalfishgames.com/?p=4759

New in CrossCode 0.6 (May 9, 2016)

  • New Area: Maroon Valley:
  • The last update ended with the snowy Mt. Bergen and the freezing cold of its Temple Mine, so what would be best for Lea to recover her frozen nose? Of course, a desert! Introducing our huge new area, Maroon Valley.
  • As you’d expect from a desert, it is not only dry but also has less differences in altitudes compared to a mountain. That didn’t stop us from including many devilish jumping puzzles that have to be solved to find all the precious treasures hidden on the scorching sands!
  • But it’s not all dry and bleak. The oasis might be among the prettiest places we’ve ever created so far!
  • Meet cute scorpions and all their friends! And quickly find their weak points because blind attacks aren’t gonna cut it.
  • All in all, this area alone is huuuge and will keep you occupied for a long time, if you want to uncover all its secrets.
  • New Settlement: Ba’kii Kum:
  • Ba’kii Kum is the latest settlement to go with the new area. An old city in the desert mixed with some new technology and mostly inhabited by the thus unseen natives of the planet in CrossWorlds: The Shad.
  • New Dungeon: Faj’ro Temple:
  • Yes, there is also an entirely new dungeon in this release, complete with enemies, puzzles with new mechanics and new abilities to unlock. So to progress, Lea has to explore the Faj’ro Temple, build by the Ancients a long time ago and, unlike the Temple Mine, untouched by human hand.
  • Finalized Shop Menu:
  • For a long time we had a very bare bones shop menu where you could only buy one item at a time and also not sell anything. Well, these times are over. Shopping is now just as familiar as browsing through your favorite online store. Find an item you like? Put in the amount you want in you cart and buy everything in a bulk with a nice list of what you’re buying.
  • Quests and more:
  • As with most of our updates this one contains a bunch of new quests, items and lore. Most of the new quests can be found in Rookie Harbor or Bergen, but you can also find new ones in Bergen Trail and Autumn’s Rise.
  • And speaking of Autumn’s Rise. Remember all the cargo crew members you could find in the area? We finally got around and removed/replaced them. Everyone except Carla, so you can still reset your skill trees. This also means that the captain quest, the Old Observatory and the Blue Weird Guy are gone. But fret not as we plan to bring their quests back in a better fashion. Expect some beefy changes to the Old Observatory in the next version.

New in CrossCode 0.5.2 (Apr 11, 2016)

  • New Potraits:
  • Creating such a large game with all these different kinds of characters made us realize something: We have to create tons of portraits graphics including multiple expressions, special poses and so on. Doing this for all these characters you’ll find is quite the task. So we thought: “Hey, why don’t we just simplify the workload by reducing the amounts of expressions and focus on important stuff instead?” I think you all agree that this is the best for us to make sure we can finish the game on time.
  • Today we announce that we reduce the amount of facial expression because we realized there are just too many of them!
  • We’re super exited and think you will all like these a lot. With this update we updated Lea, Shizuka, Sergey and Carla!
  • New Sound Effects:
  • Teflo has been working all night and day to create new sound effects which we think fit much much better than the ones we had before. The previous sounds just didn’t fit in and sounded almost bland compared to the new ones. We never thought we would achieve this kind of immersions just by improving sounds, so please try them.
  • You can download the new version of CrossCode via Steam right now or DRM-free versions when you backed the game on Indiegogo! We’re eager to hear your opinion on our new portraits and the sounds!

New in CrossCode 0.5.1 (Feb 15, 2016)

  • The stats menu now has proper labels!
  • You now can’t use items during PvP. No more cheating!
  • Enemies won’t randomly be aggroed when Emilie is in your party
  • Apollo is properly defeated and gives you EXP and a defeat-count in the Monster Fibula
  • A new symbol for new synopsis items. Also now on tabs.
  • Emilie won’t stand around in Rookie Harbor once she left your party
  • The text correction feature (press F7) now works for all the content within the encyclopedia!
  • More random avatar names!
  • Lot’s of spelling fixes. Thanks to everybody who contributed corrections!

New in CrossCode 0.5 (Feb 10, 2016)

  • Party Members:
  • That’s right! Emilie joins the fight as an AI-controlled Party member. And just like you might have guessed she will be using a lot of close ranged attacks combined with quick dodges. Now you can pummel foes with even more style! Perfect Guard an enemy and let Emilie finished the job, no problem!
  • We’re really happy about this feature and we hope you all have a lot of fun with it.
  • But fret not if you think Emilie will steal the show! You can adjust her behavior by using the new Party Strategy Menu in the Quick Menu
  • Encyclopedia, Records & Monster Fibula:
  • After a certain point in the story you will now gain the Disc of Insight which grants you access to 3 new menus in the Synopsis section.
  • Encyclopedia:
  • The Encyclopedia is a compendium of all the lore in CrossCode, that includes your Story progression, Characters, in-game lore of CrossWorlds and Real World lore which covers topics like the M.S. Solar cargo ship or what company created CrossWorlds. Each entry can have multiple paragraphs and pages. The progress for each one is reflected by the completion percent on the right side of the entry.
  • Records:
  • The Records Menu is CrossCode in numbers. Everything from “Total exp gained in combat” to “Number of times Lea said ‘hi’” is included (Yes, we count those). You’ll also get some nice percent view of your total progress in CrossCode via this menu. For as long as the Early Access is active these percentages might be off from times to times as we add new stuff.
  • Monster Fibula:
  • Finally the Monster Fibula. In this menu you find detailed information about every enemy you fought (and defeated). Once you defeated an enemy a certain number of times you’ll unlock the second page which contains what we call Reports. Reports are information on an enemy you found somewhere. However, the first entry is always unlocked. Currently not all enemies have reports so expect more of them in the next releases!
  • Analyze Mode:
  • Something we’ve planned from the very beginning has now found its way into the game, too! You can now analyze your environment!
  • Using the Scope button in the quick menu you can hover over points of interest to reveal their purpose. To tell them apart each point can have a different color. For instance violett stands for traders or shopkeepers while blue is for regular NPCs. Their are also special types like the red ones in the screen above! Those are for enemies. By Just opening the quick menu you can see the level of an enemy. Hovering over an enemy reveals its base stats
  • Other Updates:
  • Beside these big new features we also changed small things and worked on existing features and areas. One of those is Bergen Village which finally gets more crowded. It’s not quite where we want it but still, it’s an improvement
  • Also visible here are the new updates messages you get when finding a landmark. This will also pop up when solving a quest task. If you rather want to use the old style on the right side of the screen you can change the setting in the Options Menu!
  • Speaking of the Options Menu, since we added the Social Menu we decided to move the Options Menu to the Pause Screen to avoid having to much menu options in the main menu.
  • And last but not least we also have new sounds for various actions in CrossCode as well as a new theme for Bergen Village!

New in CrossCode 0.4.1 (Dec 28, 2015)

  • Several bug fixes, two new heat arts, a fancy new save/load menu, and a little quest

New in CrossCode 0.4 (Dec 2, 2015)

  • Bergen Village:
  • After the long ascent along the Bergen Trail you finally reach the second town of CrossCode! You can now explore Bergen Village with its complex structure of stacked building. It comes with several buildings that can be entered, a hand full of NPCs and even a small quest! Admittedly, it is still lacking the proper density of content that you’d expect from a town/village, which is something we of course plan to improve on in future updates. At least there are plenty of cool platforming puzzles! … Sorry.
  • The Bergen Tempel Mine:
  • The main attraction of this demo will be the Bergen Tempel Mine, which is also the first real dungeon of CrossCode!
  • And what a dungeon it is. We were surprised ourselves how damn big it became over time, with all the puzzles that got added one after another. And yeah, this time we got a lot of bugs that are actually pretty damn cool though!
  • Also of course: there’s a new boss. And what a boss it is! It’s probably one of the most impressive pieces of pixel art you can currently find in the game – which is precisely the reason why we don’t show a single picture of it! … Well… for once we don’t want to spoil the surprise for you.
  • In fact, we want to make a small competition out of this! Read more about it below!
  • Heat Mode:
  • Most of you will be familiar with the Element Modes “Heat” and “Cold” that have been part of CrossCode since the first demo.
  • Well, now you can finally get the “Heat” the official way and an entirely new skill tree including (so far) 4 new combat arts!
  • An entirely new level of destructive power awaits you! Also we added a couple of new passive skills for you to explore.
  • Well, and you will also need it in many puzzles inside the new dungeon, of course. Those Ice blocks aren’t gonna melt themselves after all!
  • Perfect Guard:
  • With the 0.4.0 update there’s also a whole new gameplay mechanic we were eager to add since we planned it: Perfect Guarding. Now, when you guard you have a brief time called “Perfect Guard”. Any damage is completely nullified and you can even counter some attacks. Tired of the Spindash from the Hedgehogs? Counter them with Perfect Guard and deal big time damage to them.

New in CrossCode 0.3.5-2 Hotfix (Nov 10, 2015)

  • It fixes a couple of issues such as mapping glitches and issues with new colored treasure chests. It also moves a particular NPC to a different location.

New in CrossCode 0.3.5 (Nov 9, 2015)

  • Teleport to any landmark that you passed by during your adventures.
  • Quickly travel to any location throughout CrossWorlds!
  • This release also fixes some remaining issues with quests, includes some additional sounds for elemental attacks (listen to Shizuka’s new fire sweep!) and adds a few more details in Autumn Rise and Bergen Trails – not only landmarks.

New in CrossCode 0.3.2 (Oct 12, 2015)

  • Skip to the new stuff with Save Presets:
  • With the new release, the Puzzle and Exploration mode are gone forever! Ha! There is only one mode to start the game now: The Story.
  • Of course, not everybody will be very excited about playing the whole story all over again, just to get to the new stuff. We feel you and got you covered!
  • Incoming: Save Presets! They allow you to start the game from a fixed point within the plot! There is a preset to start the game right in front of the puzzle part and one before the exploration part, so it’s very similar to the previous game modes!
  • Second: Your old saves will still… well… sorta work! You will be able to load your old saves at your own risk. There’ll most likely be errors but they may not all be game breaking. Just be aware that balancing will be a mess and there might be several strange situations. Have fun playing around!
  • The Quest System:
  • Version 0.3 comes with one big major new feature: the Quest System! (insert reverb effect)
  • This finally allows you to do quest the proper way!
  • Bergen Trail Extended:
  • You can now climb that mountain of Bergen Trail even higher!
  • With the new version 0.3.2 we do not only fix another bunch of errors, we also add a new background music that is played in a scene shortly after Rhombus Dungeon!

New in CrossCode 0.3.1 (Oct 5, 2015)

  • The Story continues
  • Now you can find out what will happen after the cargo ship: Lea’s adventure will finally continue!
  • See new places!
  • Meet new people!
  • Explore the dungeon of the puzzle mode properly integrated into the plot!
  • Enter the CrossCentral.
  • And finally enter Rookie Harbor the proper way.
  • That’s right, the story now finally includes the puzzle and exploration mode! \
