  • Fixes to creature fetch AI to retrieve ball properly.

New in CHKN Demo 0.0.4 Alpha (Nov 10, 2015)

  • Creatures are more observant of their environment. They will no longer walk into objects or get stuck in fences.
  • Faces now come alive and preview before placing eyes and mouths.
  • You asked, we delivered. Block rotation has been added. Hit the interact button (E) to rotate a block while previewing its placement.
  • Limbs can now be placed properly on the bottom of creatures.
  • Helicopter neck among other neck related bugs have been fixed.

  • Added slimy octopus body and octopus tentacle life blocks.
  • Added angler fish lure with light features. Confused what that is? This is it.
  • Improvements to playing fetch. Use the interact Key (E) to grab the ball from the creature's mouth.
  • Fixed leash null bug which caused game to be unplayable.
  • Grid placement can now be rebound (default is Z).
  • Mouse wheel now quickly cycles through hot bar slots (WE HEARD YOUR CRIES!).
  • Creatures no longer stare blankly at your after chucking a beach ball at their face. (Be careful not to anger wild creatures!).
  • Snake heads no longer rotate in an exorcist like fashion.
  • Particles pooled.
  • Necks move more smoothly.
  • Creatures no longer only bite feet, instead they bite the nearest block.
  • Petting, slapping and leash attachment has been improved.
  • Interact messages added.
  • Decorative life blocks can no longer be the first life block added.
  • Creatures can no longer push the player out of the world. Instead they may crush you.
  • Escape key can now dismiss inventory UI.
  • Exploding fruit damage is now calculate more accurately.
  • Explosions now have a blast radius that can scare creatures.
  • Players no longer incorrectly drop items after throwing an item.
