MOBIUS FINAL FANTASY

Final Fantasy is a very old franchise that’s been around for over two decades at this point, and it features quite a few episodes as well. Although it started on consoles back in the 8-bit era, many of the later titles got released on PC as well, including an MMORPG that’s still alive and kicking. However, most Final Fantasy games are usually console ports, so they are a bit tricky to enjoy with a mouse and keyboard.

MOBIUS FINAL FANTASY is a mobile port that brings updated graphics and widescreen support, although the rest of the game is pretty much the same as it is on mobile. On the other hand, it’s worth noting that the game has outstanding reviews when it comes to the mobile version, so given the fact that this is more or less the same thing, you should get as much joy out of it on the PC as well.

The story is an interesting twist on the original Final Fantasy, since it revolves around the hero prophecy that started the whole thing. However, there’s a bit more humor in this version, since it kind of pokes fun at the whole prophecy concept and there are plenty of jokes throughout the story. Hence, don’t expect a spiritual journey like in all the other FF games.

The gameplay is mostly about combat and watching cutscenes, although the combat is very rewarding and engaging. Even if all you have to do in most cases is click anywhere on the screen in order to attack, there are combos you can achieve, as well as powerful abilities that are a delight to watch. You can also get legendary items if you play a lot, although it’s also possible to use real money to get ahead.

Lastly, the graphics have been updated to take advantage of the much more powerful PC hardware, which means that you can rejoice at the sight of 4K textures and widescreen support for full-HD resolutions. As always, the animations and the cutscenes are breathtaking, and the same can be said about the soundtrack, which is actually a lot better than you would expect from a mobile port.

In the end, MOBIUS FINAL FANTASY is not a very complex game, and it’s not very serious either when it comes to the story, but it can be a lot of fun if you take it at face value. It also features gorgeous cinematics and an amazing soundtrack.
