The match three genre is popular mainly because it is simple to code, easy for players of all ages to play and it gives you a slight sense of reward, although the candy theme may also be a bit responsible, especially if you have a really sweet tooth. Candy Crush Friends Saga maintains the same gameplay mechanics you saw in previous titles, yet it improves the interface and story, adding a more 3D feel to it, with animated characters all over the place designed in cartoon fashion, making this title especially great for children. The premise of Candy Crush Friends Saga is pretty simple, as somehow you managing to match candy based on color will lead to animals being freed from captivity. Regardless of the flawless logic, the idea sticks very well, just as cookies, jam, chocolate and toffee stick to your fingers. The game doesn't have any online element, save for the option of connecting your game account to your Facebook account, and seeing the highscores of whatever friends also play the game.

Candy Crush Friends Saga is certainly an improvement over the original game, even if most of the changes are merely cosmetic and lore-wise, but then again, why change the gameplay which seems to work very fine anyway?
