Scorcher Reviver is an unofficial game patch made so that the 1996 title Scorcher can be played on the latest operating systems, but it also brings some improvements to the base game as well.

The main purpose of the game is to prove that older games can not only be brought back to life, but they can re-enter the spotlight with revamped difficulty levels, as you may see from the "Survival" and "Insanity" modes.

Besides that, the patch allows full compatibility with all major operating systems, letting you play the game even on retro systems that support OS as old as Windows 95/98 or Windows XP.

Because the game was build in an era when 640x480 screens were considered HD, the patch also brings in the option of having custom screen resolutions and bit depth, and you also finally have the option of minimizing the game window and then resuming the game at will.

Finally, if you just feel like playing the game in full on God mode, then you can make use of the implemented cheat system included within the patch which, among others, include unlimited boosts, jumps and timer, always finish 1st, etc.
