World of Myths

History is a near limitless source of fantasy material, as each major culture has had its own pantheon of deities that they worshiped at one point or another. While this idea has been explored by other games as well, the theme seems to be a long way from becoming boring, so creating a CCG using it seems like the right choice. That's precisely the idea behind World of Myths, a neat CCG themed around the various pantheons of gods from throughout the world's history as they lash against each other.

Similarly to how Hearthstone decks are themed around the character classes from the World of Warcraft universe, decks in World of Myths are themed around various god pantheons. As such, you have the Norse, Greek, Japanese, Egyptian and many many more, each of them being described as being good at certain aspects of the game. World of Myths plays pretty much like all other online CCGs out there: you throw monsters of various power levels (and costs) into the field, and you use them to either attack your opponent or defend yourself.

The goal of the game is to destroy your opponent's towers, and in doing so, you will gain currency, experience, and mastery with the pantheon you used. You can use the mastery to unlock more powerful units that are unique to your pantheon, while the currency is used to buy new decks, although buying them with premium currency is also an option. Cards don't last forever, as they also have a type of durability system implemented, and will automatically die after a set amount of turns, regardless of whether you used them or not.

Although World of Myths borrows heavily from other CCG titles, especially when it comes to the art style and the music, it still manages to maintain its own identity, allowing it to stand out in an online gaming world dominated by giants of the genre.
