Armored Warfare

Warfare isn't all that pretty as Hollywood might want us to believe, but for those of you still seeking an adrenaline rush without the threat of imminent death around any corner, a game with amazing graphics can pretty much do the trick. That is precisely the string of thoughts that lead to the creation of Armored Warfare, a modern warfare MMORPG where you control massive behemoths of steel and iron and clash against your enemies.

Armored Warfare uses CryEngine 3 technology, which ensures the feeling of complete immersion in the game, with pretty much any detail you can think of being masterfully rendered, from shadows to texture sampling and reflections. You can see the glare in the crosshairs, the spray from water hazards, drops of rain shrouding the enemy, smoking ruins and other obstacles, all making you feel like you stepped into a virtual world that is in no way inferior to reality. More so, these graphics are accompanied by excellent sound renderings that make the game all the more immersive if you play it using your headphones.

The centerpieces of the game are the multitude of tanks that you have at your disposal, which include models from across all the nations of the world. It doesn't matter if you plan on commanding a heavy behemoth that can one-shot an enemy or if you prefer maneuverability, Armored Warfare has them all. Speaking of which, as expected each model comes with its own set of pros and cons, however, these aren't just numbers on a scale, since during matches each tank seems truly unique, not just from a visual but also from a control standpoint.

Besides the obvious PvP battles where you and your team battle opposing forces, you can also choose PvE content in the form of CO-OP missions. Team up with friends to carry out the most difficult missions sent down to you by command, and these missions will differ depending on the vehicle selected.  While the enemy may be AI, they pack pretty much the same punch as a player controlled tank would, and once you're spotted, you're permanently within their cross-hairs.

Tanks are big, and they need a lot of room to move around, not like general FPS where you draw your knives and hope the enemy misses your hitbox. That being the case, all the maps in Armored Warfare are massive, some even being the size of small real-life cities, and these will be the theatres of war well steel will clash against more steel. Fight in hotspots around the world from frozen tundras to sun-scorched deserts, or do battle in locations that might be the focus of a modern military conflict, such as oil refineries, port facilities and population centers.

This game has state-of-the-art graphics, unique locations, realistic tanks, highly adaptive enemy AI, and a great progression and upgrading system that will keep you growing and growing. Basically, Armored Warfare has all the things you may demand in a war, except for the part where you die.
