fault - milestone two side:above Demo
Help a princess and her friends get back home and survive a dangerous journey through a nasty world. #Visual novel #Role-playing game #Adventure game #Adventure #Role-play #Quest
Great journeys are always enjoyable to watch, and even more fun to participate in, especially in video games. Adventure and role-playing games usually allow you to create characters and take them through a variety of challenges, all while learning new skills and defeating cunning enemies. However, sometimes RPGs are too much of a hassle for casual gamers, which is why visual novels came to be.
fault - milestone two side:above is a colorful visual novel with gorgeous artwork and a unique world for you to explore over the course of a riveting story. Granted, the game is not as interactive as some might hope, but it certainly has the right idea in terms of storytelling. Hence, it feels more like watching a movie than playing a game, which is what some gamers might want. It’s worth noting right off the bat that this is the episode two in the series, and it relies heavily on the first one in order for the plot to make sense. It also spoils a lot of the first episode, so it’s recommended that you play that one first. As such, everything revolves around Selphine, who is on a journey with her friends to get home after being stranded half-way around the world.
One of the most engaging things about the game is the fact that it’s not as static as most visual novels, which is thanks to the “3D camera” effects. Naturally, there are no actual 3D characters or environments, but clever use of shadows and zooms make the scenes appear more life-like. There are plenty of screen shakes and other special effects that amplify the cinematic feel. Lastly, the artwork quality is up there as well, especially in terms of character design and backgrounds. Granted, sometimes the zoom effect is a bit too harsh and it can make the pictures appear pixelated, but only for short periods of time. The soundtrack is not bad either, especially since it changes depending on what’s happening with the characters.
In the end, fault - milestone two side:above is just as engaging as the rest of the entries in the series, so it should be worth your time if you enjoyed the first part or the prequel. However, don’t go in expecting anything more than a watch-and-click experience.
