After waking up from a terrible hangover, our hero realizes that someone or something has erased his memory of the past seven years, but the real question is why? A few years after the events that took place in the first title, Tex Murphy stumbles upon some new information that can help his investigation regarding his memory loss.

It seems that those events are somehow linked with a doctor named Margaret Leonard, who's experimenting on human beings / mutants affected by the radiations unleashed during World War III. Now it's your job to find out how is she linked with Tex's world for the past seven years.

The game is played from a first-person perspective and comes with lots of HD live-action custscenes that add up to the overall fun. The fact that developers decided to use real-life actors for various character encounters is more than a great addition to the already eerie story.

As soon as you reach Margaret's property outside the city, you can sense that something isn't quite right. Maybe it's the fact that the water around the mansion is toxic or maybe it's that weird character in front of the mansion that's starring at you.

Whatever it might be, our detective must begin searching for all sorts of objects that might be of good use in his investigation. Sometimes you will need to combine various items in order to achieve the desired effect. For example, combining wood planks with nails and a hammer you will get a rudimentary repair kit that will help you fix a broken ladder.

Other puzzles might ask to arrange a few scrambled images to restore the bigger picture. Sometimes you will be able to use various triggers hidden in a room to open a secret door, and the combinations doesn't seem to end here.
