Grand Class Melee 2 is a 2D action game that pits four players against each other in a small arena.

The developer of Grand Class Melee 2 is a studio named Gigatross Games and they are saying that their title is an RPG job system arena fighter, but that's really a mouthful. I mean, who hasn’t heard of RPGJSAF? It’s one of the most common genres, and it’s difficult not to see an RPGJSAF game every other day.

In all seriousness, the name of RPG job system arena fighter is a little bit pretentious and flamboyant. It’s an arena fighter, and we’ll leave it at that. It’s in 2D, but that’s not a reason to hold it against them. Just because it features classes and a few other RPGish features doesn’t make it an RPG. With that out of the way, we can safely say that Grand Class Melee 2 is a fun game to play and that the melee word in the title is well deserved.

There is no story behind Grand Class Melee 2, and the game doesn’t really need one. The game is about fighting against other players in a small arena. The enemy can be either controlled by another player or by the AI. It all happens on a single screen, so it’s obvious why I mentioned “small arena.”

You’re not going to get lost, especially since the matches are over really fast. In fact, the time limit is set for 1,5 minutes, although it’s hard to imagine that a match could go on for such a long time.

Players can choose from a number of specific classes, each with their own weapons and special abilities. There are eight rounds of combat for every match, and players get access to better and better abilities after each round is completed,

A nice touch is that the maps are generated each time match starts, which means that you won’t see the same stuff twice. The landscape has an effect on how the game is played, so it’s an important factor.
