RaceRoom Racing Experience is a free-to-play racing simulator that looks great and offers plenty of outstanding cars for you to race in. It also features some excellently built tracks that will test you to the limit in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes.

RaceRoom Racing Experience is eye-catching from the first seconds of gameplay. It looks very good, and those looks transcend to how the cars handle. There’s little room to complain if you’ve played simulators where realistic car behaviour was key; on the other hand, if you have little to a lot of experience with racing games, and not actual sims, RaceRoom Racing Experience will cause a few rage fits. Some cars will prove too tough to drive.

Another key aspect of this game is the audio. It’s wonderful in any situation, and the engine/car sounds will win you over. Whether you’re in chase camera view or the dashboard one, the engines make beautiful noise.

Combining the graphics, driving and audio, RaceRoom Racing Experience is a very well built game with loads of fine details to discover and enjoy. In the driving simulator world, it’s one you should definitely try.

RaceRoom Racing Experience is delivered as a f2p title, but it’s more of a glorified demo, so as not to call it a ‘pay to play what you want’. If you’re just starting out, you get just three cars and three tracks, the rest being available only if you purchase them using actual, real-life cash.

Now, microtransactions in free-to-play titles aren’t a novelty but having this few options in RaceRoom Racing Experience is a serious setback. The game radiates competitive gameplay and for those who aren’t looking for the online challenge, the single player mode is blessed with impressive AI. But all of that and what was said further above counts for almost nothing if you’re stuck with only the same three cars because, to be honest, the prices are a bit steep.

To wrap it up, there’s no real reason for which you shouldn’t try RaceRoom Racing Experience, there isn’t. It looks great, driving is indeed an experience, and if you make an effort to save up for some DLCs then it’s worth it.
