One Way Ticket 3
Fight off terrible monsters in this first-person shooter sporting basics graphics and fast-paced action. #First-person shooter #Arcade shooter #Survival game #Shooter #Survival #Arcade
Sometimes, mindless shooting is all that matters when it comes to having a good time with an FPS. Games like Painkiller and Serious Sam proved that a storyline is not very important if you are having tons of fun with the actual action, but the recipe is not very easy to get right. Hence, it’s very easy for such games to get way too repetitive after a while.
One Way Ticket 3 is a fast-paced first-person shooter in which you play the role of a man stranded on an island full of terrible monsters. The goal is to kill as many of them as you can before succumbing to death, because the high score is all that matters. There’s no actual end in sight, so it’s all about managing your health and ammunition well enough to stay alive.
The monsters come out of the ground and charge at you with no regard for their safety, so all you need to do is aim for them and make sure you bring them down as quickly as possible. Since it doesn’t matter whether you shoot them in the head or in the legs, this can be fairly annoying, because you quickly find yourself overrun.
The weapons at your disposal are fairly disappointing as well, given the fact that all you can do is use a pistol or a rifle. The ammunition comes in short supplies too, so you are always struggling to pick up the bullets dropped by the monsters. This wouldn’t be too much of a problem if the action was fun, but the gimmick gets boring in a matter of minutes.
In short, there’s nothing to keep you excited, since you are not upgrading the challenge by staying alive for longer. No boss fights and no other creatures make an appearance along the way, or at least not quickly enough to make it worth your time. Moreover, the graphics are very basic as well, and it’s a shame that the level design is so poor, because it could have made things a lot better with a bit of variety
In the end, One Way Ticket 3 is not exactly the kind of game that keeps you playing for hours, because it’s far too simple and repetitive. Hence, you see all there is to see in the first few minutes, and things stay the same after that.
