Ghost stories have always been popular up to this day as a form of horror, because they represent what lies beyond and in our mind, that is far more frightening that whatever slasher could ever offer. As such, it shouldn't come as a surprise when there are plenty of games out there that take the horror genre and use it to scare the bejeezus out of you. One such game is Apartment 3906, an interesting little title that will make you grip your mouse just a little bit harder and make you question what you see with the corner of your eye constantly.

On the 22nd of May 1991 something sinister happens, but light is never truly shed upon what exactly happened that day, so you take on the role of an investigator out to find the truth. You have nothing on you except your trusty camera, and it is your job to take pictures of key elements within apartment 3906 and try to piece together the clues regarding what exactly happened inside almost 20 years ago.

The game is played through a first-person perspective through the lens of your camera, and you need to find clues as to what happened. The game adds some realism by displaying the actual time of your PC in the camera's UI, and the cross hairs turn green whenever you find something of interest to shoot. What exactly happens after you start taking pictures will remain untold as not to spoil the ending of the game, but let's just say fowl play is indeed involved.

Apartment 3906 is a neatly designed game and it will indeed provide you with your daily fix of scares, the only downside being that (for the more masochistic among you of course) the game is a bit too short. regardless, the idea may not be original, but the execution is definitely commendable.
