The team working on The Sims 4 says that it wants to make the game very scalable, which means that it will run better on older gaming machines than the current installment in the series.

Ryan Vaughn, a producer at Maxis, tells Digital Spy that “We’re really excited to say that players on lower end machines are going to have a much better experience on The Sims 4 than they did with The Sims 3.”

The companies are interested in making sure that the entire fan base gets access to The Sims 4 and the various enhancements it makes to the core formula of the franchise.

The new title is designed to enhance the emotional elements of the game, with Sims who are easier to control and behave in a more lifelike fashion.

The Sims 4 will be launched in the fall of 2014 and, so far, just the PC has been confirmed as a platform.
