The indie beat'em up title Fist of Awesome is out on PC and Mac, allowing everyone to manifest their hatred for bears in a pixelated fashion.

The game's premise is pretty simple, exploring the age-old conundrum of what would happen if bears took over the world. Although reputable men of science have failed to provide a clear answer to the question of how we would avoid extinction in such a scenario, indie developer Nicoll Hunt seemingly has the answer: punch them in the face.

As such, Fist of Awesome presents the epic tale of a brave lumberjack, traveling through time to punch a heap of bears straight in the face, in order to save humanity from certain doom.

Being highly reminiscent of old-time classics such as Streets of Rage, Fist of Awesome notices and fixes the one big problem all those console and arcade beat'em up games had: a distinct lack of bears and time travel.

The game also features a retro-styled musical score, with insanely catchy chiptunes marking your every punch and complementing the pixelated visuals quite nicely.

Be advised that the game features an unbearable number of bear puns. That was one of them. Fist of Awesome is available on Android, iOS, PC and Mac.
