The development team at DICE in charge of Battlefield 4 is announcing that more progress has been made on the community map that's set to be offered later in the spring for free to the entire player base.

Now gamers are once again called on to deliver their own input via a new poll, which is linked to the scale of the map and is active until 8 AM Pacific Time on Monday.

The fans have already chosen most of the defining elements of the new map and now DICE is working to make it fun to play on and to include some unique elements before it moves it to the testing phase.

At the moment, the studio is also working on a new weapon balance patch for Battlefield 4, which is supposed to be introduced before the end of spring.

Gamers who want to get more options for their characters will also be able to get a new Weapon Crate downloadable content at the same time, which will add five new options for a variety of engagement types.

DICE is also continuing to use the Community Test Environment to test other tweaks to the core formula of Battlefield 4, which continues to evolve despite the launch of the new Hardline entry in the shooter series.
