Fraps is a handy and very easy to use application that allows you to benchmark and capture video and pictures from any game using DirectX or OpenGL technology.
As a benchmark, Fraps can show the Frames Per Second (FPS) you are getting in one of the screen corners. The application allows to perform custom benchmarks and save the statistics to your HDD with ease.
As a screen capture utility, Fraps can easily take a screenshot by pressing a single key. The pics will automatically be named and stamped for your convenience.
Capturing or recording video while playing a game has never been so easy. Just press the designated hotkey and the application will do the rest. Fraps can capture audio and video up to 2560x1600 with custom frame rates.
Limitations in the unregistered version
- Movies are watermarked, saved at half size, max length of 15 seconds and 15 second delay between captures.
