I just got this game. downloaded all patches1.1-1.7 and I get NO sound. Tried many solutions on various posts and still no sound.

can some one tell me wats wrong:
I download, and install shield comes up asking to install, but then it says that call of duty world at war must be installed b4 the patch. help???

Hey man ive installed 1.1 and 1.2 and 1.3 absolutely no problems whatsoever, am proper stoked but am looking for the extra zombie maps, where are they only in 1.5 or 1.6??

i have downloaded 1.2 and for some reason when i start up mp it like freezes i mean my screen just stays black and i cant get up windows task manager or evern minimize it. but i am now downloading 1.4 2 c if there is any difference.

on patch 1.6 every time i have tried to install it it messes up my game so that i cant play anymore. it like deletes files.

My 1.6 patch doesnt work. Ive uploaded it 4 times and it wont work it keep saying ive already installed it but i know i havent because when i go into CoD5 it say new patch is avalible and i dont have the new maps. can someone plz help me out?

at least you guys can get your games to work mine is installed prperly but will not fire up ,,,always wants to start in safe mode but never actually starts. i hope its a good game because all its good for is filling up bin.all my other cods and moh games work fine , whats up with that?

Since patch 1.5 COD WaW is almost unplayable on servers that do not limit ping above 125.I am constantly being shot around corners and missing sure shots or worse getting shot somewhere im not.This needs to fixed soon cause im not playing again until it is.

Not sure I wanna download anything after reading all the above remarks and negative comments...

eversince i have downloaded this patch whenever i exit the game my audio is gone the only way i can get it back is to reboot got all the latest drivers but still lose my audio when exiting the game

Hey, not sure if this'll be any help to anyone but, i found that windows sometimes mutes my soundcard when starting COD4 or 5WAW(but it only mutes WAV sounds), still tryin to find a permanent fix, but ALT+TABing back to windows and unmuting it works for now, sounds stupid i know, it just baffled me for a while till i figured that out because it unmutes as soon as i quit the game

I installed 1.4 and it destroyed my CoDWaWmp. When I switch to multiplayer i get an error : couldn't load image 'loadscreen_mp_makin_day'. Can someone help me please? :/

COD 5 Original disk installed crash - crash - crash. Patch 1 No help. Patch 2 Can play but hey surprise no sound. Patch 3.. surprise, still no sound. Getting a little tired of this. I used to be a COD fan and have COD 2 and COD 4. Now giving up. Lesson learned - I will never buy anything that Treyarch produce.

I had 1.3 patch installed, couldn't connect internet, tried a so called 1.3 mp patchall i got was a load of german writtting. uninstalled completly, installed patch 1.2 and am now stuck with the few remaning 1.2 servers until a fix comes out, beware of so called fixes, i haven't found one yet. someone help please.

The game is great although there arent much servers on 1.1 when is 1.3 going to come out and fix the sound glitch

Before this patch, the game was crashing on my machine after I updated NVidia drivers. After the patch, it didn\'t crash anymore and I could start it, but like some of those folks mentioned above, I no longer get any sound. Every other application on my freshly reinstalled Windows environment works fine.

patch 1.2 audio problem but since trying to resolve also noted freeze problems whilst in games rooms, avoid patch till all problems solved
