Turtle Odyssey

Turtle Odyssey is a casual platformer in which you have to help Ozzy the turtle in his quest to find a stolen talisman. The game revolves around simple gameplay that’s relaxing and as far as the story goes, it’s about the battle between good and evil but with very little trace of actual violence.

Ozzy has to go through several levels, passing newer and increasingly difficult terrain. He has to collect gold coins for extra lives, find secret places and in order to advance to the next stage, he also has to gather a fixed number of gems that open a magical gate.

Some of the treasure is guarded by various critters that feel the need to get in the way of your noble quest. As you dive deeper into the deep seas, you get to face octopuses, carnivorous plants and many other life forms. Some can be killed just by jumping on them, while others can only be avoided.

From head to toe, Turtle Odyssey is a great example of a classic and casual platformer. There’s jumping, dodging, coin collecting, minion fighting and all the rest that make for a good game.

The little turtle needs to charge up on oxygen to be able to stay underwater and has to be really careful not to take any considerable damage because he might die. There are large sponges to jump on and air pockets that allow you to safely land when falling from high places. When they’re not around, Ozzy can hurt himself and becomes dizzy for a while.

To sum things up, Turtle Odyssey is by all means a game you should play if you’re looking for a way to spend some time in a relaxing manner. It’s easy to learn and master and it can certainly put a smile on your face.
