Deadly Dozen 2: Pacific Theater Demo

Deadly Dozen 2: Pacific Theater is a tactical FPS that gives you control over a total of twelve soldiers, who must complete a variety of dangerous missions throughout Asia in the second World War. Since this sequel and the original game are based on a movie with similar ideas, many of the elements were inspired from the motion picture, making the entire experience more cinematic.

As it was the case in the movie as well, the twelve soldiers that are part of the team are mostly criminals that were given a choice to redeem themselves, by taking on extremely dangerous missions. This time, the missions carry the men to the Pacific islands, where the Japanese and Korean forces must be eliminated in order to assure America's success in the war.

Unlike regular army operations, though, the missions you carry are heavily oriented toward stealth and commando-style infiltrations, which means that you mostly tackle POW liberation scenarios and various other small, but important missions. Each one of the soldiers comes with a unique set of skills and abilities, which makes them vital in every operation.

Since your team is quite small, you won't always be able to attack the enemy heads on, so you will have to carefully plan out your approach before you start shooting. Hence, by coordinating every soldier and deciding the best course of action, you can easily outmaneuver the Asian forces and gain the upper hand on them, even if you are outnumbered most of the time.

Graphically speaking, the sequel brings its fair share of improvements and new capabilities, as well as better models, more convincing special effects and heavily improved character animations. The sounds have been re-done as well, while the locations are quite varied and modeled after real places in the Pacific, to make the experience feel as real as possible.

Overall, Deadly Dozen 2: Pacific Theater manages to rise to expectations and improve almost everything on its predecessor, whether it's the graphic engine or the gameplay mechanics. The new setting provides you with a whole new battlefield, new enemies and a lot of challenges to put your tactical mind to the test.
