Eternal Lands is an MMORPG that takes you into a fantasy world where you can be an elf, dwarf or a normal human being. As in all MMORPGs, you have to complete quests, fight various minions to gain combat experience and items which you can equip to make yourself stronger.

Eternal Lands is a game that came out more than a decade ago and during that time it has evolved at its own pace. Compared to other MMORPGs, its graphics won’t seem too appealing but they aren’t all that bad to begin with. Animations are decent and the world is in 3D, although you can’t really change the camera angle. You can click somewhere on the ground or on the world map and have your character walk to that spot.

The HUD is user-friendly and makes the game accessible to players who haven’t dealt with this genre before. It’s full of helpful tutorials and even if you intend to discover how everything works on your own it will still be an easy game to master.

Though generally MMORPG games don’t have an endgame moment, you can play to see how good you can make your character. For this reason you are free to explore the world around you, fight various monsters or other players, harvest resources and use them to create potions and magical essences.

Eternal Lands is a bit slow paced compared to other MMOs when it comes to the amount of action you get to see and the dynamics of it all. It’s a game that is well suited for people who are patient because ultimately you still get to the point where you can summon beasts to help you with quests and even take out an adversary with just one spell.

On a closing note, though there are plenty of unique details to Eternal Lands left undiscussed, it’s safe to say that it is a decent game despite its looks. For those who love a retro-looking game, Eternal Lands is for you.
