What makes the game interesting, on the other hand, is the fact that you get to move around the environment unhindered, without requiring action points or any other similar concepts. The combat system, however, can be regarded as some sort of hybrid, since it can very well take place in real-time as well. In case you want to carefully give out orders, though, you can make use of the Smart Pause Mode, which is designed to make the gameplay more fluid and give you complete control over your squad and its members.

Naturally, for this kind of game to function properly, a classic top-view perspective is used, which comes in handy whenever you need to analyze the surrounding areas and plan the best approach.
