SCP - Containment Breach

SCP - Containment Breach is a survival horror game in which you will have to escape from a secret facility while being hunted down by a very strange looking creature. You have no guns, no flashlight and basically nothing else but your feet and the ability to run for your life.

In this game, you play the role of an inmate, or rather a test subject for whatever is going on in the secret facility you wake up in. On the desk in your cell is a short note that describes your situation and as you finish reading it, two masked guards escort you to your first assignment.

A few minutes into your walk between two very chatty guards you end up being placed into a containment area with a creepy looking being and instructed to approach it. Since any normal human hesitates to get close to something the brain can’t make sense of while also located in a blood soaked enclosure, you keep your position while the other two subjects get close. That’s when things go seriously wrong.

Gameplay is simple and effective. You have your standard first-person shooter games controls with no guns, knives, or any other means of defending yourself from the odd being. You simply have to run, hide, collect clues that might help you figure out what happened and obviously, survive.

The latter will prove to be very difficult as the creature you're facing seems to find the perfect times to sneak up on you. Your only advantage is that making short eye contact with it, renders it motionless. Stare at it too much though, and you’re dead.

SCP - Containment Breach generates a new environment every time you play it and thanks to this, there’s no real chance you can predict what is about to happen. The atmosphere around you weighs heavy on your shoulders and the great choice in music and audio effects turns it into a really scary place to be.

To sum things up, SCP - Containment Breach is in all fairness a decent game. It might have a few glitches here and there, it does seem oddly familiar to the Slenderman series in a lot of ways but at the end, it’s still fun to play.
