WW2 Pacific Heroes

WW2 Pacific Heroes is a lightweight and rather old game in which you get to pilot a World War II fighter and engage in both small dogfights and large scale battles. It’s a game that’s light on your PCs resources and quite enjoyable.

In WW2 Pacific Heroes, you take on different missions in the cockpit of a fighter and in most cases you will have to shoot down the enemy forces, or sink them. In some missions, you’ll have to torpedo enemy ships, and even bomb land defenses.

From start to finish, a mission is about constantly shooting, you rarely get time to rest or just fly around, that is, of you don’t want to. You can just fly which way you want and enjoy the simple and intuitive controls, a big plus for the game, but linger long enough and your aircraft carrier will be sunk by the enemy.

Gazing into the specs of the game you can easily tell that this will probably run on anything you have today. That’s good since the graphics aren’t going to be its strong points, at least it will run smooth. However, even by present standards, the game isn’t all that bad in terms of looks.

As a game, WW2 Pacific Heroes is simple in nature but it’s the kind that makes the gameplay enjoyable. You have a mission, you complete it, and then you move on to the next one. You can’t upgrade the plane but at times you get to be the gunner of an AA gun and shoot down swarms of planes. That’s nice too.

The time for WW2 Pacific Heroes set a long time ago. It’s worth playing if you don’t have a PC that can run newer games that have more to offer, such as World of Warplanes. If not, you can still have some fun with it.
