Photo Mania Demo
Photography is a hobby many people pick up along the way, mainly because it’s only natural to take pictures of the things you like. However, if you decide to make a profit out of it and use your skills to snap photos of people in an organized studio, you need to uphold certain standards. As such, it’s imperative that you listen to the client’s request, otherwise they won’t be happy with the results.
Start a photography business and turn a profit
Photo Mania is a casual time management game in which your primary goal is to use your camera to photograph people using a variety of backdrops. Not only that, but you must also print the said photos and present them to each customer, only to be rewarded for your accuracy and speed. After a while, you’ll be able to afford better gear and larger studios to accommodate more people.
In the beginning, you’ll have to make due with an outside setup, where clients just come and stand in front of a colored background. You must reach a certain profit each day, otherwise you fail the level and you have to do it all over again. Naturally, you have an entire day at your disposal, except things are not so simple. The game punishes every wrong click, and you are often forced to retake the photos just because of a tiny mistake.
Annoying gameplay mechanics and repetitive gameplay
The most obnoxious feature of the game is the fact that you have to click on the same object multiple times, but in a specific order. In case you happen to wrongly click when you’re not supposed to, the entire procedure fails, and you have to take it from the top. Naturally, this can be considered part of the challenge, if everything else wasn’t so boring and repetitive at the same time.
In essence, things don’t actually change along the way, regardless of how much money you gain. Even if you upgrade your equipment, the visual cues don’t change all that much, which makes it difficult to keep playing without any actual rewards. Furthermore, while the graphics are not exactly bad, there are only a handful of customer models waltzing past the studio every day, just to make things even more monotonous.
A lackluster game with too many annoyances
All things being equal, Photo Mania choose a nice subject for itself and a niche that’s not very touched by the industry. However, the gameplay is too dull and repetitive to be any fun, which is why you may have a difficult time playing it for more than a few minutes.
