Mothership is a very original game, however it features familiar gameplay elements. It is part RPG, part RTS, and part action game.
You take control of a mothership exploring the galaxy to find out who is attacking your homeworld. Your mothership can manufacture up to seven different types of fighting craft.
These fighting craft are used to defend yourself from the enemy encounters you will inevitably face.
You could play the role of commander as you tell individual ships what to attack, be it an enemy gun ,ship or supply center.
In the same battle you could play the role of ace starpilot, piloting a fighter craft so you can take out dangerous enemies before they gain the upper hand.
While you pilot a spacecraft its abilities are greatly enhanced with extra speed, range and damage are yours to use to swing the battle in your favor.
