Master of Defense Demo
Use a variety of towers to protect your kingdom from the invading forces of evil. #Tower defense #Strategy game #Defend village #Tower #Defense #Master
Small fortresses have managed to hold their own against large invading armies on many occasions, as long as the defense was well organized and the people inside had enough supplies to survive the siege. Walls and towers have always been important when it comes to defense, because they provide the soldiers inside a chance to strike at the enemy without worrying about retaliation.
Master of Defense is a classic tower defense game in which your purpose is to survive every enemy wave, while erecting powerful towers to deal with the ever-increasing monster numbers. There is barely anything original in the game at hand, since all of it has been done before, maybe even better. However, that doesn’t make it any less fun, as long as you enjoy the genre and you do not mind the repetition.
There’s not much of a story going on in the background, because the designers chose to focus on the action itself instead. Hence, all you need to know is that monsters are coming and they are targeting your kingdom. In order to stop them, you have to use towers and powerful magic, otherwise they are going to overrun the villages and slaughter the people living there. The concept is not complicated, but it takes some practice to get good at it nevertheless.
Each tower has a specific function, such as the fact that they can only target ground or air units. Some can do both, but they are significantly weaker in both cases, which is not what you want when things get tough. However, besides the gold you receive at the end of each wave, experience is also awarded, which can be used to purchase upgrades. These allow you to empower your already existing towers, or even devise new ones that use fire or ice to damage the enemies.
Unfortunately, the gameplay gets dull after a while, mostly because there are few towers to choose from, and there is usually just one way to achieve victory. The monsters have no charisma, and they may as well be just untextured polygons running around the map, for all they matter. Not only that, but the graphics are pretty poor as well, which makes the game look a bit unpolished.
All things considered, Master of Defense has a pretty nice thing going for itself, but it doesn’t last for too long. Hence, the lack of diversity and the repetitive gameplay can get on your nerves after a while, unless you’re in it for the challenge alone.
