John Deere: Drive Green is a farming simulation game in which you get to see how it’s like to use some of the heavy duty farming equipment and do all kinds of jobs. You can mow fairways, plant corn, bale hay and plenty more, all at your own pace and enjoyment.

John Deere: Drive Green is a rather old game as far as age goes for this industry and you can easily see that in the mechanics, graphics and animations for the character and most of the environment.

However, the driving part of the game is pretty solid. You get to drive a large number farming equipment that is built for all kinds of jobs and requires slightly different ways of handling. From small tractors to large combines, John Deere: Drive Green offers 15 types of equipment to use, each one as close as possible to the real thing.

As far as controls go, everything is very intuitive and easy to learn which makes the game a valuable asset for those who are farming fans.

In John Deere: Drive Green, you’re a hard working farmer that has to put food on the table by doing an honest day’s work. You have your little tractor, a bit of land with some crops on it and you have to make the best of it all.

However, at the start of the game you’re a little short on cash so you have to help out some of the neighboring farmers. On your property, there’s a little bulletin board on which all the available job offers are listed. Each neighbour you help grants you access to their equipment and land so you can get right to work.

After a job is done, you are rewarded with cash which you can spend for your own farm’s maintenance, crop harvesting and so on.

On a closing note, John Deere: Drive Green might not be the best looking simulator if you stare at the details, but it does handle great when you’re behind the wheel of your equipment.
