Flo and her grandmother, who goes by the name of Florence, take it upon themselves to rebuild five restaurants from their hometown and help them get back in business, all while having fun decorating the diners and customizing the personnel that serves the food. Naturally, you also have a word to say when it comes to the food, but attracting customers is your main goal.

Diner Dash: Hometown Hero – Gourmet is a casual video game that allows you to complete a series of missions, all of which involve restoring restaurants and diners to their formal glory and attracting customers to boost profits. As previously mentioned, the two characters are Flo and her grandmother, who just happen to know a thing or two about the food serving business.

In the campaign mode, you can play through a wide range of missions, which require you to achieve certain goals in a given time frame, or simply reach a number of customers. To accomplish the tasks, you are provided with a lot of customization tools, which allow you to change the appearance of the restaurants and attract yet more visitors to the establishment.

Since it is possible to change the outlook of the personnel as well, there are over five hundred clothing and decor items that can be used to increase your popularity, all of which require money to purchase.
