Crazy Machines

Crazy Machines is a puzzle game in which every level is solved by putting together a Rube Goldberg-style machinery using a number of given components. Each one is different and solutions are similar but never the same.

The game offers over 200 puzzles to solve and repetitive gameplay is not something to worry about because you will not meet the same scenario twice. It’s true that some puzzles follow the same solving logic but they won’t manifest in a similar manner.

Like a lab rat, or a monkey, or a lab human, you are tested on how quick and easily you can figure out how to assemble the contraption to reach your goal. There is a time limit to each level and completing them quick earns you extra points, which is a good incentive if at the end of the day you want to compare scores with some kid you know to be bright.

At the start of each Crazy Machines level you are give a certain number of objects to use in building the mechanism. You’ll have planks, buckets, explosives, magnets, balls and a lot more different and interesting stuff to combine.

Manipulating the objects is done using your mouse and with a few simple moves you can reposition pieces, rotate and flip them but this applies only to the elements you are given. What’s fun about this game is that in a lot of cases it will take you a while to figure out what you have to do and how you do it. Most of the times the solutions have an unconventional approach.

To wrap it up, Crazy Machines is not crazy fun but it’s definitely entertaining and it really does put your mind’s gears in motion.
