In Far Cry you play the role of an former US special forces operative who is hired by a woman to take her to a remote island. Upon reaching their destination their boat is destroyed and they are trapped on an island that is overrun by mutated beasts.

The game features advanced AI that allows enemies to signal each other for help if you are spotted and work together to bring you down. Far Cry also comes with a multiplayer mode which allows players to engage each other in deathmatch, team deathmatch and assault modes.
