The gameplay is based on its predecessor but with brand new tactical possibilities in a beautiful 3D environment. The player is able to switch from an isometric view to a third person view whenever he wants, for example for duels, brawls and shoot-outs. There will be a great variety of setting for example dusty canyons, ghost towns, Indian villages and forts creating a breathtaking atmosphere which you will never forget.
Take on the role of up to 6 heroes including the famous bounty hunter John Cooper and experience in a thrilling story with surprising turns.
Here are some key features of "Desperados 2":
· Real-time-strategy and tactic involved in an exciting story and a thrilling Western atmosphere
· Varied settings including towns, Indian villages, dusty canyons, forts, wagon convoys and ghost towns
· Double 3D view: pivotable isometric view and 3rd person view for fights and very close action
· Several levels of difficulty and a new A.I. with more tactical opponent behaviour and more interaction with allies
· 6 individual actions per hero and overall 20 new actions e.g. swimming, sedative injection and handcuffs
· A new hero: Hawkeyes, the Indian
· 5 actions per hero planable in advance with headword overview (Quick Actions)
· More interaction with the environment due to full 3D interior views of buildings and movements like climbing, sneaking, jumping and hiding
· Brawls with destroyable objects create movie-like stunt situations
What's New in This Release:
· NPCs executing tasks and NPCs walking patrols now react immediately in all cases if stimulated by PC player's actions
(audible, visible stimuli)
· Players can now heal friendly NPCs in Canyon Mission 3: Protect the Settlers (not possible in 1.00 after creating a Save Game)
· After installing the game, French Version or English/German/Italian/Spanish version may fail to start under Windows XP (64Bit-Version). After installing Patch 1.01 - problem should be solved.
· During Execution of Quick Actions, deleting the quick action will not make the game unstable
· PCs now should not walk through each other any more
· Sniper screen is now restored after loading of a save game
· Identical Save game Names in different missions now are stored with different Save game Names. Overwriting existing Save games with similar names in other missions of same level not possible without confirmation any more.
· A couple of sound files with additional fx / speeches were added.
· Santa Fé by Night: Shooting the Sheriff now correctly toggles mission lost screen.
· NPCs now carry Tequila in correct positions.
· Unconscious or dead NPC lying on the ground do not vibrate any more.
· NPCs leaning into a wall are now able to shoot PCs correctly.
· Riding with a weapon should now allow shooting and turning correctly at the same time.
· Players may now shoot even if not aiming for valid targets (NPCs).
· Santa Fe By Day: View cone now appears for the civilian NPC behind the saloon
· NPCs should not bunch up as much in one place any more while chasing a PC around a corner
· Kate is not able to run any more while seducing in action view
· Makeup effect has no effect through walls any more
· NPCs on horses can now be seduced
· After changing detail settings within option menu, particle effects from other missions in same level do not appear any more
· If PCs carrying NPCs/PCs are shot, the carried bodies fall to the ground and do not hang in the air any more
· Dismounting a horse not possible during movement of horse
· Dismounting too close to a wall is not possible any more
· Programming a quick action, where a PC should run when spotting an NPC is now possible
· Animation glitch with NPC waking up is corrected
· NPC blinded by Kate's powder do now fall to the ground when they are knocked out
· NPC should not clip through walls anymore where they could be shot
· Auto save points now should be located in more convenient positions
· Fixed the option setting "PC Responses". In some cases the Voices still could be heard when Option was switched off
· In Santa Fe by day Mission 2 Kate is now able to pick up the Derringer weapon in the Sheriff's Office
· In third person, Kate's powder now correctly spreads towards the target NPC
· Fixed small bug were Hawkeye's arrow got stuck in the air after saving in Fort Mission 3
· In Option Menu, a shortcut may now be applied to the noise tool indicating the PC player's noise range
· In Eagle's Nest, Sam can not be shot by friendly fire even if in jail
· 3rd person Context actions were harmonized amongst all PCs
· NPCs should not be shooting through walls any more
· Carried Actors should not get teleported away from doors any more.
· Eagle's Nest: Killing NPCs on ladder in barn should not result in NPCs getting stuck any more.
· Delays or frame rate drops in Levels with many characters when character is shown first time should be heavily reduced.
· Music should now restart always after loading a save game
· The marker that indicates where to place TNT barrels is now always displayed whenever Sam has some TNT.
