Janthus is an evolving world created by Aron Racho, designed to be a 'twitchy rouge-like', multi-user online experience.
It's basically a slug fest, where you can team up in party mode with other players in the world, cooperating to stay alive against the evil hordes that roam the land. Heal your companions while they hack, slash, and burn through your mutual foes.
Or you can tough it out alone - there are weapons to be acquired and used to your advantage; area, projectile, and target spells to be cast.
