General
SuperStorm V3 adds a number of features to Earth 2160 Skirmish and Multiplayer modes, including team options, alliances with the AI, longer lasting resource options, and weather.
Progress
SuperStorm V3.0 is released. The next version will likely be made as a result of a separate mod, whether that's to update anything required to make SS work with the rebalanced parameters (see Inside Earth for details of this project) or to work with something that's FoC-D related. We'll see about that later..
Gametypes
SuperStorm V3.0 features one gametype, SuperStorm Structures. This works in the same way as Destroy Structures, though it also includes Uncle Sam options. Further gametypes may follow in later versions.
Weather
The weather can be set to none, rain, wind, or rain and wind.
Team Options
Teams of human players and AI can be created. Options include Free for All, Teams of (number) and Teams as Factions as well as the original game default option AI vs Humans. Teams as Factions allies players of the same faction. Free for All makes all AIs choose a random opponent, human or other AI.
Resource Options
Normal Mining, or Mining with 4x, 8x, 12x or 16x the resources available on the map (i.e the resources last 4 - 16 times longer). Uncle Sam options from 1000/min to 15000/min, or Unlimited resources.
Observer Mode
Select this option, choose some AI players, put them in teams if you feel like it, and watch them bash it out. The AI players will not attack you, in fact will completely ignore you in this mode and you can see what all of them are doing.
Live stats
Players are given notification of the following stats:
Game time: Every minute, total game time is displayed.
Game kills: Every 50 kills on the battlefield, players are notified of the total kill count. Personal kills: Every 25 kills a player makes, their personal total is displayed.
Special Options
Map Objects On does the same job as "Map Default" in the Starting Units combo box of the default gametypes. Observer (single-player only) is mentioned above.
