Starcraft Attrition CTX Map description
In CT[X] the goal is to capture a special item that your breed of choice needs to attain victory.
Starcraft is a real time strategy game, from Blizzard, the makers of Warcraft II, Diablo, and Diablo II. It features three unique races [Terran, Protoss, and Zerg] that are pitted together in an intergalactic war taking place on the Galactic Rim. You as the player can take control of any one of these races to victory in single player mode, being rewarded by awesome cutscenes that are a Blizzard trademark.
However, it is the multiplayer options that make this game REALLY shine. Blizzard provides its own FREE online service, Battle.net, and here you can meet Starcraft and Diablo players from around the world. The newly improved Battle.net will feature multiple chat rooms, a World Wide Ranking Ladder, and Online Tech Support! It's definitely one of the best done online services out there and it's the perfect service for Starcraft.

CT[X]: Gamer slang for Capture the Flag though in this case there is no flag, so X will be used to represent non-flag items.
In CT[X] the goal is to capture a special item that your breed of choice needs to attain victory. A hint about the map is that it's in space and you will need to start an air force as soon as possible, and get some defense to hold your flag from your opponent.
A player scores when he brings a Khaydarian Crystal(Player 1) or Data Disc (Player 2) to their respective beacons. (found near where the special items spawn.)
Always Defend your Flag post!!!
If done right an opponent could control your flag post and completely mop the board with you so if your flag post is taken over-get it back under control ASAP!
Loop Captures:
Should any initial capture be successful, have a Transport/Worker combo ready or even en route to the enemy's flag post to double your capture rate. This is *so* annoying believe me!!
Zerg Sneak:
One of the better advantages to Attrition CT[X] is the abundant resources so easily it could be a heavy force melee map. Thus Advanced Mutations allow for climbing tech trees with ease and building better buildings the best of which is the Nydus Canal. Take a small force of Hydralisks and Mutalisks, an Overlord and a Drone and start a small Hatchery on the other side of the map where your opponent cannot see you. On your side of the map build a Nydus Canal, and when the Hatchery establishes on the opponents side build the exit node and invade!
Vs Zerg Sneak:
keep your area of the map patrolled. The following combinations work decent to keep invading Zerg from establishing a Nydus canal on your side of the map:
Terran: Goliaths/Marines and Wraiths
Zerg: Hydralisks, Mutalisks and Overlords
Protoss: Dragoons, Observers and Carriers (?)
