Worms 4: Mayhem
The Worms series goes back since 1995, when British company Team17 released the first title. As years passed by, Worms became more and more popular among gamers and lots of sequels have been developed, concluding with the Worms Battlegrounds title.
Explore the history of Worms
Worms 4: Mayhem is somewhat different from the previous titles in the franchise and comes with a few unique features including a proper story mode, worms' customization options and even a place where players could create their own custom weapons.
If you choose to play the story mode, you will get control over your own team of worms who arrive at the Worminkle University where they meet Professor Worminkle, a brilliant scientist who managed to invent a working time machine.
After a few missions, your team will be forced to use Worminkle's invention and travel through time to avoid being arrested by a few agents sent by their very own government.
Worms 4: Mayhem will take you to a few iconic places including: the Middle Ages where you'll have to fight against knights and wizards, the Wild West with its cowboys, Ancient Arabia filled with thieves and even Prehistoric times where our heroes will face vicious caveworms and dinoworms.
Challenge your friends
Besides the interesting single player campaign, Worms 4: Mayhem also comes with the highly popular challenges and multiplayer modes. While in Challenge mode you will have to do your best and complete various difficult tasks using specific weapons, in Multiplayer mode you will be able to play against your friends over the internet or even on the same computer using the hotseat option.
Although Worms 4: Mayhem brought a few fun features over the previous versions in terms of character and weapons customization, the title fails to achieve the popularity of its predecessors mostly due to its lack of innovation and difficult controls.
