Viktor

Gamers and people who enjoy games in general are known to have a rather vivid imagination but we’re pretty sure you haven’t thought about a game in which a sentient boar wants to take over as the ruler of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Luckily someone else did, so, meet Viktor.

If the plot isn’t strange enough, just wait until you get to know your main character, and his friends, those are weird too. One of them is possibly a drug addict, and an owl. You see, nothing in Viktor really makes sense, it’s a total strange-fest and that’s absolutely wonderful.

Apart from the comical cartoon graphics, Viktor has quite the personality. He’s nice but impulsive and as far as boars that can speak go, he’s pretty intelligent, and he has great taste in music. You'll be hearing a lot of good tunes throughout the game while reading the large number of jokes, amusing descriptions and conversations.

The game works just like any other from the genre, you see something, you click it and Viktor describes it, you have two means of interacting with objects (one of them is kicking), and an inventory where you store stuff.

Overall, gameplay is very intuitive and fortunately, since everything takes place in a strange parallel universe, don’t expect to solve puzzles by following traditional logic. For example Viktor’s roach problem won’t be solved with a can of bug spray, his method is messy.

Viktor has a lot of chatter in him, plenty of stuff to say and so do his friends. When engaging into a conversation, expect to have multiple choices when it comes to answers and questions, and of course, expect them to be unusual.

On a closing note, Viktor is a game that has a lot of humor to offer along with its charming strangeness, and it certainly has a captivating story to it.
