UNO Undercover Demo
UNO Undercover is no longer supported, so it is now impossible to purchase the application. Nonetheless, you can still download it from Softpedia and use it with the limitations listed on this page.
Card games are usually played for fun, because it’s the preferred activity whenever friends come over to visit and there’s nothing better to do. However, you can get serious with them as well, because games like Poker are now responsible for tournaments with millions of dollars in prize money. Naturally, not all card games can achieve the same success, but they all need a bit of skill to be played properly.
The secret agent that’s amazing at Uno
Uno Undercover is a unique adventure game that blends the familiar card game of Uno with an interesting story and a couple of charismatic characters. Nothing about it is very complicated, but it’s nice to see something different for a change, because regardless of how fun they might be, all card games become repetitive and annoying after a while. This way, you can at least enjoy variety every now and again.
The story allows you to play as Felicia Blue, who’s a secret agent and a professional Uno player at the same time. Her mission is to defeat other spies and unravel their unruly plans, which is where you come into play. In order to do so, you must practice your Uno skills and obtain the victory in every game you join. Naturally, you also need a bit of luck to succeed, because Uno is not skill-based only.
Good graphics and a few interesting variations
The gameplay is as straightforward as possible, in the sense that all you have to do is skip through the cutscenes and just click on the cards you want to play when your turn comes. The wrong choices are grayed out anyway, so you cannot really go wrong. On the other hand, it takes a bit of experience to know when to play the special cards, such as those that reverse the player order.
As mentioned before, the game is not exactly state of the art in many regards, which is why the graphics engine is nothing to stand in awe of either. Thus, everything is colorful but static, although you can enjoy a few shiny particle effects every now and again. The sound is dull as usually in cases like this, but you can at least turn it off and choose your own soundtrack.
A relaxing way to enjoy a game of Uno
All things being equal, Uno Undercover may not be a revolutionary product, but it gets the point across, and it allows Uno enthusiasts to practice their hobby in peace. Not only that, but the mechanics are simple and straightforward, which means that everyone can learn how to play it.
